caller said he was w/ttc. doing a survey on household appliances. called during work hours on my cell phone. didn't talk to him.

Calls from Southnet # 336-217-0875 at least once a day for the last week. I don't pick up and they never leave a message.

I answer and hear noises in background biy nobody says anything.
I lay the phone dow for a long period of time and they are still there.

I got called by 336-217-0876 at 10:31AM 8/20/08. I did not answer. If they can't leave a message, I don't need to answer. I'll keep on blocking if they keep on calling.

I received call 2 minutes ago, no message and did a redial and call could not be completed. How do you deal with this nonsense.

I got called by this number on my home phone at 8:39PM 8/19/08. I am on the do not call registry for years but . They hung up. I called back and it said the call could not be completed. I blocked the number. I pay my bills on time so I know it's not a collector unless they're looking for my husband's ex-wife, who owes money all over the country, and I'd be delighted to tell them how to find her. LOL.

called on my cell that is registered w/ DoNotCall. When I answered, no response... reverse search shows this is a landline out of Greensboro, NC

my cell phone on the donotcall registry getting calls everyday and I dont pickup. I call back with a number disconnected msg.  reporting to FCC, bbc and others.  They WILL get nailed soon!

I have received calls for at lease the past two weeks at least one a day or more from this number on my cell phone. It is during work hours, so I don't ever know when they are calling. Of course you can't call back because it says the number isn't in service. I would love to know where they received my phone number? I don't owe any outstanding bills that aren't being paid. Generally you can get ahold of the survey type places if you call back, it doesn't say it is a disconnected number. The only new thing I have done within the last month is get suckered into buying a Kirby vacuum. Anyone else who is experiencing these calls buy one or something else like that? Perhaps it is the finance company or whoever trying to do some sort of lame survey of the first month of use, or how the salesman was? I know when they had me on the phone they wanted to make sure I hadn't had any special promises, etc. Maybe they are doing some sort of lame follow up, but they don't want us to harass them only the other way around?

Just got a call from them and no one was there!

My wife says they asked for my "full name" that only my grandmother uses.  I have a very common name so skiptracers call me only to find out they're calling the wrong person.

I can't wait until they call again so I can tell them that my attorney informed me that they're violating FCC laws by falsifying their Caller ID information.

Started getting calls on 1/31/08 @ 7:56 pm from 336-217-0875, next 2/2/08 @ 12:30 PM from 336-217-0881, then 2/5/08 @ 8:22 PM from 336-217-0874 and tonight (2/6/08) at 7:08 PM from 336-217-0875 - always Southnet and they never leave a message - we never answer it. Hopefully they will quite calling soon.

picked it up and no one spoke. called backed and it was number no longer active, I received at least a call a day for the past week. I decided to pick it up because they keep calling

i called it back later and it was a number that is no longer in service, but i bet they will call again

the call shows up from Greensboro NC, no message maybe creditor. i don't think its telemarketer.

called my cell on a sunday. didn't recognize # so did not answer. they did not leave message. called the phone # back and got recording saying the # was out of service. seems this is very common and this is some type of fraud scheme.

I just got a call from this number just moments ago. It would seem that I am in the same boat as the rest. Well folks, I have to agree with 'Frustrated' in his/her post of June 25, 2008. While anyone can sign up to the DNC registry, it is still possible to get the occasional(?) call from a charity, pollster, or political organization. The best way to handle this sort of thing is just to let the phone ring,and ring,and ring. I would think that after a while anyone as dense as a tree stump will get the message and quit hounding you altogether.

Rec'd a call from 336-217-0875 , southnet on  my caller id. I did not answer b/c I did not recognize the number. No message, no one there when I called back...too weird! This is not the first time this has happened; it seems to happen once or twice a week. Frustrating!

It does no good to complain. If you go to ftc.gov you will see that telephone surveyors, charities, and political organizations are exempt. Look in the consumer information section. And why do you want to complain if you haven't spoken to anyone yet? Are you going to base your opinion on what these paranoid people have written or do you want to form your own opinion? Don't play follow the leader or join the " I'M ON THE DNC LIST" cult. They are just whiners who didn't do their homework and see if there were any exceptions to the rule. The just went and signed up and thought of it like a protective dome but didn't see the cracks in the glass.

It was called everyday because it was put in as an answering machine so that the dialer knows that there was no human contact and to try again soon. It is not always the next day. It depends on how many numbers it has to call on a certain day.

Who are these people? We weren't been home this weekend, so we have not spoken to them yet. When I returned the call, the telephone number is disconnected. I tried to call back 3 times.
What do they want? They keep calling but there are no messages left on our voicemail. There was a call EVERYDAY, June 20, 21, 22, 23, 2008. What's up with this company...or is it a company?

I keep getting calls from this number.  What is Southnet? I too am on the DNC list.

I keep on receiving call from number 1-336-217-0875.  On caller ID is states SouthNet.  When I call back, call wont go through.

Showed up on my caller ID.  When I return call, it said number doesn't exist.

I'm getting the same thing here- so far they have called 5 times, at various times of the day/week.  The person sits there in silence for a minute, then hangs up.  Today it actually sounded like they were in the middle of eating lunch!
I am also on the DNC list.  What gives?

My complaints are the same as listed on this page. The people calling either hang up, or wait for a few seconds and then hang up. Is there a way to block this number with all the complaints listed so far?
