I have United Healthcare health insurance- they were calling to let me know that a claim in which I was wrongly charged for (2) co-pays by a hospital was settled.  This is legitimate- very professional and nice voicemail was left advising me that the issue was rectified.

This number is an outgoing line for United Healthcare, and calls made through this number are for a purpose, not solicitation. For whatever reason the company has a policy that they can not leave a voice message unless you have spoken to a representative before and allow them to do so.

They need to allow us to see their caller ID then.  I don't answer a call from a number without it as I get too many solicitations on my cell phone.

They are calling and not answering me when i say hello! it's so annoying!

If it is a valid call they should identify themselves, not just hang up without a message of any kind.

This number called and hung up without leaving a message twice in the space of a couple of hours. Even if it IS a valid call from United Healthcare it is very irritating to have them hang up with SOME indication of whom is calling.

it is an outgoing number for United Health Care.... if you need to return a call see the back of your insurance card or dial 877-842-3210 which is for providers and members.

I got a call from this number and it was a ligitamate return call from United Empire, responding to a call from me.  Not evil.

Perhaps it is a general corporate number sent out when anyone from that building or floor calls out.

This was a valid return call.

The number belongs to United Healthcare - I received a call from a supervisor who was reviewing my grandson's case.

Called twice. Did not leave a voice mail.

Said they were United Health Care, told me not to call back the 336-541-7130 number I believe they are a third party billing agency looking to get insurance patients to use their service and cost all of us money.  Do not use them.  You will end up paying more than you should.

Call is from United Healthcare.  The 336 area code is their call-out number but they have a toll free call-in number.  There are several departments calling out from this number.  They are calling for a purpose, not trying to solicit.

I received a call from this phone number today.  It was a supervisor from United Healthcare.  We requested that they call us due to an issue we are having with the insurance company paying for a hospital bill.  She left a voice mail with a direct number to call her back.

Just got a call from this number and a hang up. After reading the post, I remembered e-mailing United Health Care yesterday, but don't understand why a recording answers this number with "Thank You for calling, you have reached an inactive number". Maybe this is a call out number only for UHC. Such is life.

Had the same experience as others.  Call back and the number is no longer in existance!

I just got a call from this number and they identified themselves as UnitedHealthCare.  When I tried to get information as to the purpose of their call, they hung up on me. I tried to call them back and found out the number is inactive.  If this is how UnitedHealthCare operates, I'm going to be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to use them. This behavior is ridiculous for a professional operation.

This telephone # is from United Health Care/Empire.

I called a division of my insurance company & this is the # my return call came from. Optimium Healthcare is a part of United Healhcare Insurance.

Telemarketer from United Healthcare.  They think I'm an insurance guy because they have the wrong area code for my number...

I got his call today too and I called it back and it gave me an unused number message.

this number called and left a voicemail. they had the wrong number and asked for a woman i'd never heard of, but the woman who left the message was with some kind of health care company.  i couldn't make out the name, but it was something health care.

I missed a call from this number- no message was left and when I called back - it just states that, "you have reach an inactive number."
