Called about 5 times last week and each time I answer the phone they'll hang up.

I see people have posted about this for two years. Why can't this be stopped. Is there nothing that can be done about this number.

tell the scammers to kiss your a  ssssssss.   take a long walk off a very short pier,take a flying leap ,lick your rear    til clean maybe ask them for some money  , the government Obamas getting all of ours for  hes agendas ,obamacare ect.

We just a call from this number - not the first time either. They don't leave a msg and you can hear them talking in the background.

You are absolutely right.  These jerks have been doing this for years.  I fell for it during the 911 incident.  I checked with the Winston-Salem police and the fire departments at that time and learned the truth.  Our Winston-Salem Firefighters are hardworking, decent individuals who will lay their life on the line for the people of this community.  I attended the Citizen's Fire Academy and learned about their need for updates equipment.  In terms of donations, I know because I asked, they can only accept donations - not fundraising (probably because of some bureaucracy no doubt).  Go meet our firefighters -  THEY'RE GOOD PEOPLE !!!!!  - by the WSFD Citizens Fire Academy Student, a.k.a., The Chief's Driver  (who Never drove the truck)

These are useless crack heads faking their caller ID info and hoping to scam a few people each hour they work the phones in a feeble effort to avoid working for a living.

This is a scam operation calling using a faked / spoofed number that is actually an UNASSIGNED Verizon Wireless number that is showing up in your caller ID.

This number IS NOT registered or licensed to do ANY solicitation in NC - per the NC Secretary of State's office.   The Winston-Salem Fire Department has no information on anyone doing ANY calling on their behalf - and would like ANY info you can provide as to these individuals as they are operating without any authorization using the name of the WSFD in this scam fundraising operation.

In short - no one knows who is doing this, where the money is going.  

I agree with the above poster - if you live in the area served by the WSFD, then give to them DIRECTLY and not to this scam artist using a FAKED number to call and pitch this crap as if the WSFD were benefiting in any way.

For all I know, this idiot could be collecting your money for the Taliban in Pakistan.

This number calls once a week.  Does not leave message.  Does anyone know how to report this number to bellsouth

They have called me 3 times on my cell phone. I answered one time and a guy said Hey Bret, Fire dept wants donations again. I told him he had the wrong number and hung up. Second time when I picked up I said you have the wrong number again and hung up. Called last night around 9pm I sent to voice mail but they didnt leave a message.

Left me alone when I told them I lived in a different county.

It is their union office

This organization has nothing to do with Winston-Salem Firefighters but has something to do with their union. No line firefighter has seen one penny or received any fire prevention material from this operation. If you want to donate time or resources call Winston-Salem Fire Department at 336-773-7800. Like all fire departments they have a wish list for non budgeted items.

Fake number calling back, again....

According to the W-S Fire Dept. this is NOT being done with their permission as they had NO IDEA who this was or what they were supposedly calling for.

If you can get these baboons REAL name, number, mailing address any working info - they said to call them and they would be GLAD to follow up on the info.

This number is also NOT on the NC Secretary of State website as a LICENSED charity solicitor.    Can we say scam?

I get calls all the time from this number but I never pick up and they never leave a message. I tried calling it back and I got the recording, you have reached a number that is no longer in service.

Someone keeps calling from this number and when I answer they hang up.

Called around 30 minutes ago.When my answering machine comes its hard to hear but... I can screen a call. A voice of of someone.This person grunting like they are mad also can hear other things. So be careful what you say before the beep.  No message left. I hate spam!

Bugging the crap out of us too.

I have been receiving calls from this # at least twice a week if not daily at my residence land line for months. Caller does not answer or leave msg a does not answr callback.The phone provider ( i.e Bellsouth) should have to deal with these complaints.

This is the number for Winston-Salem Firefighters. They are paid phone pimps. They call constantly. Best not to answer, but if you do, have a whistle handy and blow into phone. Typically real local firefighters will agree to have these solicitors gets some money for them, they get 10% and the pimps get the rest. But hey, it's better than nothing right? The real firefighters in Winston-Salem should be ashamed of themselves.

Called about 15 minutes ago.  Did nit recognize number / went to voice-mail.  They hung up without leaving a msg.

Since its on marshall street coming from a parking deck does that mean that it is a phone booth?? trying to find someone and we think that was them calling

This number called me today, and hung up. I have tried calling it back twice and get a busy signal - someone needs to learn how to use the phone!

He said he was "mad as he'll that I texted him at 12:30 last night." knew our last name even tho the number is unlisted. I didn't text anyone, esp. from a land line! Sounded like a bunch if guys partying in the back ground.

i gave my number to a realtor yesterday. Not sure if that's where my member got passed through.

This company has called today at 2;30 pm. And has called last year about the same time. We do NOT like soliciting phone calls.
