Hi,
You will all love this one. When I called Sears today (I forgot to put in my last email), the number 336-522-8999, is from their collections department. I said to Tom ok, I will call the number on my cell phone while I have you on the phone; he said no it will ring into this department. I then said ok tell whomever is calling my house to stop it and take me off of their list. He said I can't it is an outboard number and we don't have any control over it. I said oh little elves are in charge of this number, and they work in your department. You talk about a lot of double talk and two stepping from Tom. Finally I asked to speak to his supervisor who is Mrs. Juarez, she said she was sorry, but she wouldn't be able to stop the phone calls either. Now it is 9:55pm and since I called Sears (8 hours ago) I haven't received another phone call since 9:15am this morning. Wow, I wonder if they got a hold of those mysterious little elves who like to call and bother innocent people. Maybe all of you should call Sears and ask to speak to Mrs. Juarez. I don?t have the number upstairs with me right now. But, if anyone wants the number that I contacted Sears at, just post your request and I will post it for you. Oh in closing Tom said that Citigroup, Citibank and Citicard are not having money issues. What I'm reading in the press and online is incorrect. Tom you are living in a dream world and working to close to the little elves that are hiding in your department. Look over there Tom, is that a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow?

Dear Lilly,

You bet they are!

They are also one of the lenders that had their hands in the subprime mortgage mess, as evidenced by the following article:

http://moneynews.newsmax.com/money/archives/articles/2007/11/26/090215.cfm

They are going after their money to try and regain any money from $11 Billion in subprime mortgage lending losses in the 3rd(?)quarter, which is akin to the Captain of the Titanic having tried to save his ship from sinking by scooping out the water with a thimble.

We have a Sears card, but what we charged was interest free no payments for 12 months. Our balance is due in November 2008. Is Citigroup, Citibank, Citicard in so much financial problems that they are calling everyone with balances demanding that we pay now. Do they seriously think that this would make a dent in financial balance? They call our house at least 4 to 6 times a day, I never answer the phone and have instructed my family not to answer it either. This is the only charge card that we have. After I send this message I'm going to contact Sears to see what is up with Citigroup calling us everyday. If I find anything out I will post it. I phoned Sears all that Tom could say is that perhaps my phone number belonged to someone a long time ago. We have had this number for ten years. He said to pick up the phone the next time they call, listen to what they have to say and tell them to stop calling. Well if life is this simple, then I could probably win the Powerball lottery tomorrow night.

They call my house every day at least 2-3 x's a day looking for my ex.  The only reason I know this is because I've called them back several times and had them pull up my phone number and asked them to please take my number off their call list since my ex has not lived there for 4 years.  They said they would and the calls continue.  I called back several more times and they keep saying my number is not on their call list.  Yet, the next day more calls and still continuing.  I even gave them my ex's cell phone number.  How can you stop someone from harrassing you????
