I just got a call from this number. I have not given this number to ANYONE and in fact, my cell phone number is under my fiance's name. Anyway, the woman that I spoke with kept asking for me and I pretended not to be the person they were asking for. She said that she was calling from "government grants" and before she could continue, I informed her that she was a scam...that I already contacted the FBI to report her...and she hung up. Don't mess with me!

I just got a call from this # as well. Some foreign gentleman left me a message (accidentally I assume) saying nothing but "Hello?? Helllooo???" Sounded like there were more people in the background making other calls.

I had them call me constantly for weeks and I kept telling them to stop calling but of course they didn't. But then I tried another approach, I answered and acted as if I were interested, I let them do their speech and was very polite. I asked questions and agreed that it sounded like a great deal, when they asked for my info to send the cd/packet I informed them that I had just recieved a full scholarship to school (not even in school) and although I was interested in their offer I don't need it. I asked more questions about the product and acted interested but made sure to tell them politely that I recieved a full scholarship and didn't need the offer. Eventually (5 mins) the guy was frustrated and he said "well sir I don't want to waste any more of your time or mine I'll let you go" and he hung up. They have never called back - been 3 months now.

Pushy, obnoxious woman with strange accent, (called me by name) in a loud war-room full of Indian's or P***'s, telling me (for the 5th time) that they were going to send me a CD full of information on government grants...bla-blah-blab! I told her that for the last time:"PLEASE PUT THIS NUMBER ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST!" I'm filing with the FCC, this is 5 nights in a row! I'm already ON the damned National Do Not Call List! These b*****ds need to rot in jail! Time for the FCC to start doing it's job.

all grant offerings whether by phone, emails or websites are all SCAMS.
Those that fall for them just refuse to do any research before accepting the "offer".
Those websites that promise to send a CD for the cost of postage and you agree to sign up for their worthless membership programs (because they could not be bothered to actually read the Terms and Conditions they are agreeing to)

Government Grant Scams
The "free money" scam has been around almost as long as the human species. It has more variations than a bulldog has wrinkles but you can count on one thing: the government (any government) does not simply give money away to individuals. Anyone who tells you differently has larceny in his heart. If you give him your bank account number, he will soon have your funds in his pocket.
It does no good to list all of the names used by these bunko artists because a.) they change all the time and b.) every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.

Federal Grant scam is a scam wherein unsuspecting citizens receive a phone call informing them that they are amongst the very few who have been selected for a government grant. Scammers and fraudsters operating such federal grant scams or government grant scams assure the ?prospective receivers? that the grant is free and does not need to be paid back. At this point many of us would suspect something fishy and would back out, but there are some who do fall for such federal grant scams. Those who have fallen prey to such federal grant scams inform that their bank account information was acquired so as to facilitate the transfer of the ?government grant? into their bank accounts. The next thing was pretty much obvious with the bank accounts being wiped out clean by these federal grant scammers.
This company will wipe you clean.

Once I answered just to see what it was about and was told about my application to on-line college was accepted. Since I already have a degree, I KNOW this wasn't true and told the person to stop calling me...only to receive these calls 2X/day for the past month. I just do not answer now.

received a call - they stated that I had signed up for a federal grant & they were calling me to verify info - I told them that I did not apply for a grant of any sort & I was not going to give them any info and if they had my info then they could send to me in the mail. She said that if I changed my mind to call back - I called just to see what they would do - the only thing that I got was a "GOOD BY" and the number hung up on me. A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!
