Same deal......bought a new sink at Lowe's. Just over a month ago. First time receiving this call from this number, but didn't have cell on me to answer it.
I'll call the number from a workplace phone and ask them what they want and what their f*****g problem is! LOL

I just got that same call this evening and good thing I didnt make it to the phone in time. I thought it strange getting a business call at 7 pm. I could understand solicitor calls, but this? I was able to read the number in my cell phone display but no caller ID so I plugged in the number and got this blog. If it is Lowe's it makes me wonder if they are that desperate as if to shoot themselves in the foot over this over-kill customer service or are they just that out of touch with reality?

This is so annoying to get these calls. I finally decided to google the number and found these posts. I hate having my cell go off when I'm in a meeting or concentrating on work, just to get a call from someone I don't know. What bothers me most is that I have ALREADY responded to several of their calls already on the service following up a week after an installation. How many times do they need to know it's all good? Tell you something, it's the last time I have Lowe's install anything, this follow-up is a bit much in our busy lives.

Same thing, I missed a call from this number. Second time it started ringing when I answered so I hung up. I also used Lowes for an installation job. They called continuously to say items were in, contractor scheduled, remind me contractor was scheduled, how was the job - it got old quick!

I have gotten 2 calls from this number in the past 2 weeks and the first time it was silent and the second time it rang and rang for about 18 seconds before I hung up

Unknown call has come in to my cell and wish it to stop as there is no callerID.
asd 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
During lunch, the phone rang, I answered, and I heard a phone ringing. I too have had Lowe's installation, but it has been a couple of months. Annoying.

What is with this number? My phone rang and I answered. It was ringing like I dialed a number. I hung up. I did have some Lowes installation. If it is them why don't they just call me?
just curious about the call 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
I didn't answer the phone. They called and didn't leave a message. I found out it was a land line from North Carolina. Then, I googled the number and people are saying it was Lowes. I just had work done in my home but that was weeks ago and how can someone in NC possibly help me IF there were a problem 2,000 miles and weeks later? I just don't get that. Not even a message. Well, we have a good contact person at our local Lowe's, so I'm not really bothered by the call, like some are...

dan 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
who is this??
jay 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
This is Lowes calling about a recent install - quality control call.
Brad 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
Yeah screw lowes...they have called me 5 times to "make sure everything went alright with my recent installation"....I told them yes everything but the multiple calls from their dumbasses AFTER the installation...if there was a problem I would have let them know...
Mike 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
Nice to know it's Lowes...but their timing is a bit off.
Received this call/number one month after a job AND at 2am. Not sure if I should see this as highly attentive follow-up or just plain annoying.
I'll go with annoying...
cHIP 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown

JRT 2011-06-06 20:46:28 Unknown
I got a call from this number, picked up and it began ringing. After a couple of rings a woman picked up the line as if i was calling her.

The call that everyone here is getting is from a Lowes survey company calling to grade the level of professionalism and craftsmanship of the installers you had during your installation. This is how Lowes continues to provide the best installations in the business. Please provide your feedback your installers depend on these calls.
viator 2010-02-09 00:52:58 Unknown
The call is not the store, it is corporate checking on the store and installer's job. If there were any issues (good or bad) during install or the sale, then you can tell corporate directly.

we keep getting calls from this number on our local flight operations number. Never anyone on the line when answered...
Me 2009-11-30 23:05:56 Unknown
Once you do business with them they are allowed to call you even though you are on the DNC list. It's a loop hole. I think they can call you for up to a year or possibly longer since it's (possibly) not a sales call but a follow up call.
---------->
This is from the FTC site: "Calls from companies with whom you have an existing business relationship. A company may call you for 18 months after you make a purchase or three months after you submit an inquiry or application;"
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt136.shtm
They can call once you establish a customer relationship with them however I recall reading that the FTC says the business MUST remove you from their calling list if you request them to do so even if you were a customer.
As to this nonsense from Lowe's. I just got a call, no msg left. I plan on calling them and telling them to remove my phone number NOW! I am not interested in surveys and Lowe's burning up my limited cell phone minutes at my expense.

I have had this # call my phone. When I answer I hear ringing. Someone did pick up today while I was pushing end so I didnt get a chance to say anything!

These stalker-type calls are indeed from someone within Lowes. After you make a purchase that includes an installation, these people will call you day and night and weekends. I cannot find a way to avoid it other than never do business with Lowes. I've reported repeatedly to no avail.
