Get calls from 337-366-6892 and nothing heard; call # back; just silence...it IS a landline number. I am guessing the following here: The robo-caller telemarketer, based out-of-state, sets up a landline to make the "silent" phone calls to homes in the local area, to mask that the robo-caller telemarketer is out-of-state, to see if someone will answer.
If someone picks up the line, hearing silence, they hang up; bingo, the robo-call computer program logs the called number as "someone answered", then starts a series of telemarketing robo-calls within an hour or so.
I noted that exact pattern, as within an hour of the "silent" robo-call my home number was 'hit' by 2 robo-calls from out-of-state
telemarketer robo-calls; details below!:
1 from Albany, NY, with an automated message about "a unique opportunity for a vacation"
2 from somewhere in Arizona, for a 'truly unique business opportunity
Am I on the right line of thinking on this?

Just calls and says nothing..just for the hell of it I stayed on to see how long they would and finally after 3 minutes they hung up. Can you say, 'freaaaaaaaaaaaks'?
