Got the same call. Heavy Indian accent with the name Rick Edward. Telling me my computer had been hacked and only he and Microsoft team could fix it for a charge of $50-180 depending on the problem. Asked for the call back number 347-227-6900 ext 140. Seemed off to me so I didn't do as he asked and Didn't call back. It's a scam!

06/07/2014 - 2:05pm EDT  - Man with heavy accent claimed he was with Windows, said the company is "PC SERVICE AND REPAIR" in Brooklyn, NY --  when I refused to believe him another man with a different accent came on, said their headquarters were in Phoenix, AZ -- but he couldn't pronounce Arizona.  Told him I believed he was a dishonest and fraudulent, and hung up.

Just got a call from PCS saying computer had been hacked. Wanted my info told him I do not give out my personal info. He had a heavy Indian accent. Told him I wanted his info and company name which he wouldn't give out. Finally got a phone number 347-227-6900, Company name PCS.

Got a call from this number this evening and having been a member of the Police force   I knew this was a scam
they tell you they want to access your computer and can fix it from $70.00 to $150.00 then of course you would give them your credit card number which is what they are actually after.  

The number shows up as private number. This called stating that he is calling from windows service center. He stated that I had hackers on my computer and I needed to turn on my computer. I asked for his name and phone number. When I asked He then stated the company he worked for Windows Global Server. You think he is a nosy cop or a stupid criminal?

I got a call from this number 347 227 6900. A man with a thick Indian accent told me that he was calling in regard to my computer. I asked him which computer he was talking about, which apparently tripped him up, since he was obviously hoping I would assume he had specific knowledge about my computer. He obviously couldn't identify my computer, since it is a scam, and they (PC Service & Repair in Brooklyn, NY) are apparently still on some type of information fishing expedition. I asked him for his phone number and the name of his company. He told me his name was Brian. Finally, I asked him why the phone number was blocked on my caller ID, and he couldn't answer, hung up. Obviously some type of scam.

This scam is still going on! Got the call today May 5, 2014 marked 'unavailable' on caller ID. Heavy accent advising that I have been 'hacked'. Said he was from the 'windows service center' and offered to fix my windows PC for between $70.00 and $150.00! While I do admit there is something wrong, my instincts told me to ask for a call back number, it was provided as 347-227-6900.

these people are a scam.  they try to access your computer.  they are a scam.  they said they were "PC SERVICE N REPAIR"  and "showmypc.com"   and they said "windows service center"

I got the same call from a Terrorist a** hole named Paul, 8 times this week!  This is a Scam to get into your Compuyer and get you personal information, credit card info and passwords!  I called the State AG, and they have received numerous complaint on this number. They asked to track the times the number calls me for 3 weeks, and if I tell Terrorist Pail not to call they may do something, if all the complaint ants do the same.if you block their number, they will still call you each day, using the number 1. It's all a group of foreign people, who can't even speak English!  So, report them to your AG, and, also, if you are on the no call lists, they can use that too!.  I also have called and got a girl,mand told her we aren't buying, so why do you keep calling?  Then told her what I would like to do to her in the dark!!  She hung up.  So maybe thet helped!

It's a scam. Mr. Smith, from windows care called saying my computer is sending them errors messages. I had a hard time upstanding them ( I have bad hearing and they have a heavy accent) and they started asking about my retirement account at Wells Fargo. I had to hang up on them. They just would not stop talking.

This scam is still going on. Got a call today from 347-227-6900. They said they were calling from windows and that my computer was sending them error messages and that it was hacked. They wanted to gain access to my computer and also charge me 50.00 to 150.00 dollars to fix it. I spoke to two different guys, both with indian accents. I gave them no information. Hung up with them and called Windows directly and found out about this scam. Don't fall for it!

The 213 number is Free and Fun Party Line . I got a call from the 347 number and tried the one you gave to see if it's the samecrap .

SCAM - ID THEFT

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft.   Dell said there was nothing wrong with my computer.

Microsoft is a big company and does not call people telling them there is something wrong with their computer.  

They try to get your IP number from your computer. They use your IP # to make purchases with stolen identity so it can't be traced back to them.  They also hack your computer to steal credit card info, SS#'s and anything they can get their foreign hands on.  

Tell them to go to hell and report the call to the FBI.

If you are one of the individuals making these call and deliberately committing this crime.  SHAME ON YOU.    

 

On 4/10/14 I Received a Home phone Call from an Unknown Number. A Lady with a Very Heavy asian Accent told me she was calling to inform me that My Online Windows software had a Virus and my computer would be greatly affected. She knew the Name of someone who lives in this household but It seemed VERY SUSPICIOUS. I asked what their Company name was and She Said "PC Service and Repair" I asked her what the EXACT address was to their company and all she could say was Los Angeles and was trying to give me instructions but I couldn't understand. She then put another Lady with a Very heavy Indian Accent which told me their company was based PHEONIX ARIZONA and to go to "My Computer" then click on "Management". The Bi*** kept asking me questions like who Used the Computer and who It belonged to which seemed strange so I got frustrated with them and She put her "SUPERVISOR" MAXWELL LUCAS on the phone...  ULTIMATLEY THIS IS A SCAM !!!! CAREFUL. I did call back and told them I was going to call the police though. Hope they burn in hell for disturbing my Evening.

Got this call about 90 minutes ago. Same story. I asked how I would know that he was not a hacker/crook, He responded saying if he were a hacker, he would just hack, not call me. I took his number and said I will call him back.

i just received the same phone call to my office.  i was trying to verify who they were.  they gave me a similar story, asked to speak to a supervisor who spoke to me for about a minute then just gave the phone back to the original person i was speaking to .  was trying to verify, could not get any information except i asked where there office was in brooklyn and they gave me an address that does not exist.

Just received the same call. I couldn't  understand their accent . I started the steps and then asked if there was a charge and they said yes. This made me starting thinking it could of been a scam. I hung up and called Best Buy to confirm if I was right. The Queek  squad said u can't infected online. It is a scam.

This person has called twice from different numbers.  He tried to get me to give him access to my computer.
When I told him I did not see any errors, he called me a LIAR.   He has an Indian accent and called himself Michael from Windows Service Center.

Same call as others, except he said he was from Phoenix Arizona.  This is the third call I received over the past five or six months.   I told him if there was a problem on my computer, I would have my IT person look at it, and then hung up.

347-227-6900....JUST GOT A CALL...SAID THAT MY WINDOWS HAS BEEN HACKED!!   I CALLED BACK AND SHE SAID THAT SHE COULDNT EXSPLAINE IT TO ME BECAUSE I WOULDNT UNDERSTAND THE LINGO..

Caller said there was a problem with Windows whenever I was on the internet.

This is the number he gave me (I said I was on the other line) with the ext. 140.  

He said his name was "David Smith."  haha

This is a scam.  2nd one in a week.

I recvd the same call yesterday,sounds similar to everyone elses.they had me look at all my viruses and said it would cost 100.00 to fix,said I was on a fixed income,he got mad and said people in Africa are poor too cussed me out and hung up

Just got a call from  that same number..did not answered ..came to my computer and i found all this reports!! Widowa should do something about this people! catch them!! stop them..please..

March 10, 2014, same as other posts.  I made a complaint with the New York State Attorney General Internet office as they represented themselves as being from Brooklyn.
