I just got that message from an 818 number. i just hung up

Anyone knows who this is?

I just received a call and got the automated message about the security system and hung up.  This must be a new scam because this is the only info I can find about it on the internet and all these posting started Aug. 2.  Also, the number is not the same.  The number that called me is 603-856-0982.

I, too, received an unwanted call from this number. I did not answer and they left no message. I've been getting scam calls almost every day and I'm wondering where these scammers are getting my cell number.  "SCAM CALL KILLER" your suggestion is clever. Thank you.

Yep, answered the call. I guess this is my lesson to never answer the phone unless I know who it is. I called alpha alarm company and told them I was reporting this to my carrier. Who evens knows if it was really them. The person on the phone was new. F%#&*@RS.

Yep  i decided to push the #1 and talk to a person,  it was Alpha Alarm company, While telling him to take me off his F%#@@ing list,  he told me to "watch my language" At which point I said , do not call me and I wont swear at you , A$$hole !

Set this number up on your phone to read SCAMMER and give it it's own ring of 'NO RING' so it does not ring thru when they call! And do NOT push 1 to get on thier SO-CALLED do not call list as you WILL get a TON more calls as stated above! And people do yourself a HUGE favor and NEVER answer a call you dont recognize, Sheesh!

Exactly! I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. If it's someone that I know, they would leave their name on my voice mail and tell me to call back at the unknown number.

Got a call on my cell promising to install a "free home alarm system" in my home. I tried to get in touch with an actual rep to find out the name of the company behind this scam but when I finally got a real human being I guess they couldn't hear me and promptly hung up. I tried to call back but was only given the option of signing up for their "do not call" list and that was it. Total scam.

Got the call on my cell, they left a message which consisted of the end of the phrase "press one now". Mostly just sounded like "--ne now".

I answered a call from this number, and they were trying to give me a free alarm system.  the message claimed that the FBI said i needed it.

Missed a call this morning. No message, no info. Seems to be a fresh number, however I doubt it is (as google claims) a landline in Madison WI. Or, is it? I smell a scam.

i called them back the message said if you want to be on our do not call list press 1 - then it said  allow 24 hrs to proses your request thankyou
