This just happend tome too! I was told I had a problem with my computer a very bad problem and that if I did not listen to his intructions this coud be very detrimental. I could not understand him but did I ask him for his phone # and name - he said he could not give me this and that I need to go onto my cpmuter and press the Windows key and R for Romeo.

I  did not do this just listened and wrote down his instuctions but he said that he could not give me any further instructiosn or the the next steps unless I told him what on  on my scene after I pressed these tw keys -- after that comment.  I told him I could not trust him  - and that it seemed absurb that he could not give me all of the instructions!.

I got a call today (3/8/13) from guy with a thick dialect...maybe Indian...but the number was "unknown."  This was my second call, the other one was yesterday from a woman with a thick dialect.  I gave both of them a really hard time because I knew it was a scam!  I finally told the guy today that I thought this was a scam and would he remove my name from their call list...which he said he would do (yeah! right!).  It really throws them off when you interrupt their "script" to ask questions.  I do this about a minute and hang up.

hi this message goes out to all the people who were scammed and are on the process of being scammed.. Please do not pick up calls from numbers which your not familiar with or has a blocked caller ID. These scams    are done all from India.    beware of websites such as www.ammyy.com or www.teamviewer.com or www.supportme.com.. these sites lead to download software to access your computer. Do not give any personal details online even to your credit card number. Another scam  you should be careful l of, is this refund  scam of getting back the money your were scammed for in the first place its another way t get your details online.  I was scammed by a company called tech4pc or something  who apparently pretended to give me  a genuine number - 937-200-6677. I fell in for it like a fool. then in order to get my money back i fell for the other refund scam.. am at a loss. the funny part is whenever they asked me to fill in my credit card details they guided me with all the details and yet kept on saying its a 3D secured form and only i can view it. anyways thankfully i got my credit card cancelled, so now they cannot fool me again. i just pray others don't fall for it.

I just got the same thing. Guy said he was calling because my computer was sending out malware and security warnings. I couldn't hear and he was saying he was a government entity (DNS Group of Canada). I immediately searched for who he said he was ..no one. I played along he wanted be to type assoc in the run command did it did nothing...I hope...I have to check that. Then I was getting so mad because I couldn't hear, his accent was thick, and he couldn't answer any of my questions. So then he transfers me to his escalation management. A second guy comes on with better english and I force him to give me website for this "government" entity. Fool/Idiot gives me networksecurity.uk - So my reply is WTF? why would a Canadian government department have a UK url? Instant Hangup!

I don't know who these guys are but this is the most aggressive, annoying thing I have ever seen and I don't even know what they were trying to get from me?

Signed - MAD

I am having a lot of fun with these clowns and their little sand brains. They seem to think I just fell off the turnip truck and the fact is they were probably born in a little mud hut next to one. One guys name is Paul Morgan another one is Gord Macfarlane and the list goes on..........Hey that must mean My name is Avella
Whogivsnochit! LOL! These third world Morons prattle on trying to get Me to go to My computer and I am just slipping and rolling with an endless line of " what is the name of Your employer" "where are You located" and so on. I then began to imitate TV's Phil Swift and try to interest them in a can of spray sealer! I had one of these jokers so frustrated he was calling Me a Mofo ! Hah!  You know what I think? I think these calls are from al qaida stinkies  who did'nt have the IQ to pass IED manufacturing school. Funny thing is they know My name and phone number? Oh well its only a matter of time before they fail at this little scam and get put back in an insurgent sapper squad and We can take them out with a bee hive round as they try to breach the perimeter.

Unfortunately I have kids who own a computer, so when she picked up the phone, unaware of the damage, she began to follow the directions of these so called "technicians".I plan on taking the computers to a professional as soon as I can. If these "technicians" were able to access my daughters computer, how protected is the information on the computer. So if I take it in to a professional for him to take a look at, will the computer  be protected against future hacking?? Be aware of these people!!

Well, I watched this call come in - and not leave a message. No name, but this number...

Interesting, as they called me on a number not associated with my Internet-based work. But it sounds like a really sophisticated scam to convince 'marks' to hand over remote access of their computer contents. I hope people who have had this actual conversation will report the details to Federal authorities, or maybe State (if you're lucky enough to have a consumer-oriented Attorney General Office). Sounds like slick and scummy cold-calling.

Got a call today evening, saying your computer is infected and he needs to have access to my pc, and asked me to go to my pc, he said my computer was sending error messages to different companies and blocking their servers which I refused, I asked him the name of the company he is calling from and the phone number, so that I could call and verify, he said the company name was "Internet Traffic ???" he could not give the phone number,  also I could hear a lot of background noise / callers this probably was a call center - my alarm bells rang, he said his servers was monitoring my computer from Manitoba  for the last 2 months , and that we need to fix it, when I refused he got angry and threatened to send me a legal court notice within 2 hrs, to which I promptly reply that my lawyers would handle that, thereafter he hung the phone.

I just received a call, it only had 1102 for a number though.  The person stated I had maleware secretly doing things on my computer.  They had been monitoring it and want to fix it.  The guy went so far as to tell me that all computers in the world on the internet go through their systems to be observed.  He wanted to know if I was at my computer so we could work on it.  I asked if this was my home computer or work computer.  He said my home computer.  I said that I was at work but when I got home I would be glad to disconnect my pc from the internet and scrub it.  He go really quite, so I hung up.  Right from the start I had warning bells go off...

Just got the Best Buy gift Card text. Posts started about this 3 years ago and nobody's put an end to it? Does anyone know how the hell they get our information? I don't give my number to anyone 'willy-nilly'  so I am rather curious. Anyway, apparently these a***oles are back at it.

I have gotten several calls from this outfit.  When the first guy called, right off the bat I said, "What makes you think that I own a computer?"  This obviously wasn't in his script.  He stumbled, said, "Oh my" and hung up.  Several days later another guy called.  After he started in his spiel about how my computer was generating error messages and was full of viruses I broke in and said, "You are lying to me.  You are a liar.  How can you  just sit there and lie to me like this?  You are a liar."  He hung up.  Later I got another call and I broke in immediately and said "Please put me on your no call list."  He informed me that they have a "call" list but do not keep a "no call list."  I said that by law they had to have a "no call list" (but I guess if they are operating out of India maybe they don't have to.)  I hung up on him.  Since then I have had several calls from caller ID "UNKNOWN" (these were all from "Unknown").  I don't know how to get them to stop calling.

I also received a call from John wilson but sounded like  haji or akmed, someone with a heavy indian accident,  that also said that my computer was going to crash, so I listened to him he sounded very desperate to have me check a few folders on my computer to show me that  they were infected files.

I looked and he wanted me to buy a program to fix this problem.

I Hung Up on him, he called me back and kept saying pick up the phone, he told me I was a coward, said that several times, and then told me to go to hell.

I received a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent with the same spiel.  I had no doubt that it was a scam, but what is really unnerving is how are they getting our names and phone numbers?

It came up as unknown in my caller id, which is frustrating, because Comcast's digital service is supposed to be blocking calls like this, or at least I thought they were.

If they had control of your PC, you must make sure your PC isn't infected. An infected PC is a very serious matter as malware can silently steal bank logins, your personal files, etc. and send the stolen info to the criminals via the internet. ID theft is possible only if you've given them your non-public personal info like SSN or SIN, birth date, etc. or if info's stored on your PC and they've stolen the file. Also replace the card that you've given them, criminals have it and can charge again. Don't contact them, fix your PC and chalk up the $200 as a loss.

I was contacted by an on-line pc support company who reported that they were receiving error messages from my computer.  I ended up paying them $200 that I could not afford. I have asked for my money back - will try calling direct to India tonight but I am frightened because they may try identity theft.  I have now heard the warnings on the radio.  The phone number they told me to call to report problems was:  1-321-280-6757

I got a call from "Justin" with a heavy Indian accent.  Caller ID said "Out of area".  He claimed he was from support one care and that my computer running windows was receiving and sending out viruses and malware (BTW- He was such an idiot that he accidentally read the same line twice in his written script repeating himself verbatim).  Knew he was lying since I own only Macintosh computers, but played dumb with him for a while.  When he wanted me to go to my computer and start going to links, I told how important this was and really needed to have a call back number in case we were disconnected.  He said he couldn't do that, but I insisted several times that he was right, this subject was the most important thing in the world and it would be tragic if we were disconnected.  He keep insisting that he couldn't give out his call back number, and then stated he was on an IP phone call that the computer randomly assigns a phone number.  I then asked why he was calling me on a phone number that was on the do-not-call list.  I then informed "Justin" (using his fake name as many times as possible within each sentence) that he was a liar, a cheat, and was trying to con me and others through scam operations.  When I told "Justin" I was reporting him to the US Government he magically hung up on me. I can see how these scammers could easily fool unsuspecting computer users. These people need to be stopped.  What can we do to proactively put a stop to this type of con artists?

so the caller comes up unknown and it takes 10 sec to connect but the indian guy said that i want to talk to the owner of the phone number, i said i dont own it but its the one i use.  he said i want to talk to the owner i said we dont own a phone number.  he told me that there is unwanted info being gathered on our computer and we need to let him help us fix it.  i asked who he was. he beet around the bush and i said that we were fine and that he would be better spending his time trying to help another person.  he got mad and said i shouldnt say that its rude so i said i have kids here that need my attentions and he schooled me telling me i should learn how to talk to people.

if our computers are messed up we will take them in to a place or our internet providers will contact us.
my word people and their ways of making the world a crappy place.

SCAM? I am a bona fide client. I am receiving 24X7 support whenever required. Are you sure you are not trying to tarnish the image? There are many ex-employees from this company who were sacked for trying to make business in the wrong way. These ex-employees are trying to tarnish the image after being thrown out. I have personally spoken to the owner of the company because initially I was scammed too.

These folks are scamsters and are being hunted by law makers. Be on alert.

Hey Rosetta

Seems we are on the same boat. An Indian speaking guy called. I used this site supportonclick and checked all the services they render. I have registered for some services and have paid them a charge. They keep calling back whenever I face an issue. I dont seem to have any problem as yet.

I got a call from the supportonclick.com guys yesterday afternoon. they asked if my computer was running slow, my computer is really nagging me for quite some time with its speed, so I said yes.

The guys were quite helpful and friendly, and helped me to fix it in a few mintues. The machine is considerably faster now.

dunno scam or not, but i am satisfied with the service. And I don't get it, if they provide quality service in lieu of money, how can they be regarded as scammers?
