Prank Call
This bozo called my facility (on a military installation) and tried giving me some line about a loan.  I know who I have borrowed from and I know a scam when I hear one! First time this guy tried this he blew up our phones until we put a block on the number.  A month later he called me again.  So I decided to have fun with him! After I gave him a long drawn out religious rant I asked him to pray with me!  I presume he is Hindu so I am thinking he did not like my references to our one and only savior Jesus Christ! I asked him to pray for me for the souls of his children, as they are surely damned after being kissed by his heathen mouth that spouts lies to make money! He hung up on me! I sure hope he calls again! I think I will convert to Muslim and ask him to ask Allah for forgiveness!

This is a scam calling to offer business capital at no interest and with no collateral. This is clearly a scam, and the fact that it is a scam is reinforced when they refuse to provide a phone number or address when asked. Federal law requires them to provide phone number and address when that information is requested...

Starting in October of this year I was receiving 3-4 calls a day at work asking for the business owner. From the second I heard the thick accent I knew it was a scam. He claimed to be calling from our credit card machine company, but he didn't even know what model or service we had!

After I told "Kevin" (aka Calvin, Ron, Robert) that I reported their number and demand they stop calling us, I now only receive calls from them 3-4 times a week. Unfortunately the numbers keep changing so it's not easy to screen calls on a business phone. I'm sure they will get tired and give up soon.

A fun thing to do for any of you still getting calls from these creeps: First ask who is calling, and then ask, "Wait...weren't you [insert different English name here] the last time you called?" It really catches them off guard and pisses them off LOL.

Good luck!

they called our medical practice.
I demanded to be addressed as Dr. Chopsticks! the caller had a thick accent and his background noise was a call center (most undoubtedly). He paused and asked for our owner...I demanded again to be addressed as Dr. Chopsticks...he was very confused by this. He asked for our business owner by formal first name (which no one uses). I demanded yet another time to be addressed as Dr. Chopsticks! He became more confused. I then asked if he was coming to pick me up. He asked who I was; - I sighed and repeated Dr.Chopsticks and that I had told him that already. Then I became softly singing girlscout songs. He became alarmed and hung up.

They just called my company and asked for our owner by name. I said we were closing up for the evening and asked if I could take down their information for the owner. They said "'owner's name' should have it" and hung up. Thick accent as everyone has stated. Would not say their name or their company name. What a nuisance to companies who need to spend their valuable time with real business matters.

Just received a call from this number.  Man with a very thick accent asked to speak to the owner of "our business name".  He did not ask for him by name.  I told him, as I do everyone that calls for the owner, that we are a corporation.  "oh so sorry to bother you. thank you for your time".  Just proves that they have no clue who they are calling.  Yes, we are technically a corporation but a small one and the owner is just down the hall.  Anyway my advice is to tell anyone that calls and asks to speak to the owner that your business is a corporation.  They usually hang up.  This as worked for me for 20 years.

Asked to speak to the owner. Then asked to speak with anyone who is a co owner. Explained that I am the office manager and I am able to make financial decisions. I asked who he was and how I can help him. He quickly hung up. The person speaking never addressed his self and barely spoke english.

This number has called my home every day for the last week.   Never answer after reading these posts.   No voice message is ever left.   Keep wondering why a business, given the posts, would be calling a home number about finances is weird.   Probably another one of these robo callers just calling any phone number they can generate.

You and R. Watters have set a poor example for your fellow readers. No one else reading this page can ''please make them stop, thank you'' on your behalf. These forums are for call recipients to share their experience, attempt to identify call sources, and optionally offer advice, as others before you have done.

Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You will not get compliance with your orders until, if possible, you deliver them *directly* to your caller.

Man with thick accent called, asking to speak with (owner's first name.)  The most I could get out of the idiot was that it was about a "financial matter."  I told him the boss wouldn't be interested in doing business with him because he doesn't do cold-calls.  The caller said it wasn't a cold-call.  I responded, "I know he doesn't do business with you."  When he confirmed this, I pointed out that that made it a cold call.  The guy did not offer company name or anything.  I told him not to call again but I'm quite certain they will.

Heavy accent on the other end. Asked for the owner who is no longer the owner of our company. I explained this twice to him. Finally I just interrupted him and told him we were not interested.

They called my office and asked to speak to the CEO, who is an extremely busy person, so she only takes calls from a select group of people, therefore I have to screen them. I asked who was calling and she only gave me her first name. I asked what the call was regarding and she said, "This is a financial matter," trying to make me think it was an important personal call. I asked where she was calling from and she wouldn't tell me at first. Finally, she mumbled, "I'm calling from MCC" in a voice I could barely hear. I told her the CEO wasn't in and she asked if another owner was available. These people are really, really annoying.

Guy called with a ridiculously thick accent - asked for the owner by name. i told him he was unavailable. he then begins muttering something and i tell him i'm having a hard time understanding him (i have to say this a few times, because i STILL have no idea what the hell it is that he's saying) and he YELLS; JESUS CHRIST! I. NEED. TO. SPEAK. TO. THE. OWNER. So i tell him, Right, remember when i said he was unavailable? he's STILL unavailable. So he says, oh....unavailable....oh....*click*

dumbass!

Pretty persistent, and stupid, too.  They call at the same time every day, and I ask them if they're interested in signing up for my credit card service, but they just ignore me and ask for a previous owner of the business.

Asked for the business owner.  I asked him what he would do if refused to put him on?  He ignored that, said good morning, addressed me as the name he was looking for and launched into a blurb about cash advances.

I told him we will only accept a one million dollar cash advance and nothing less.  He started maundering on about how that was not possible and I quite frankly couldn't understand what the hell he was saying about 70% of the time.

I repeated that it would be one million or nothing. He uttered something else and I put him on hold.

He hung-up about 10 seconds after that.

Happy Monday to ya!

Lady calls (2nd time today) Asks for my Boss by his first name (but we have 3 people with the same first name) so i ask which one, and she gives me the last name (mispronounced with a snotty tone) so (like the good receptionist i am) ask who is calling, and she replies "Dana"....so I ask what company and what this is in regards to and she replies (again with a snotty attitude) "So and so Finanacial Services regarding a financial business matter" .

so she promptly went into his voicemail where I would bet money she did not leave a message because this a BS call.
