I applyed at a job on craigslist a few days ago and recieved an email from Robert Grench with a web address to apply for the position. the phone number to call him is 347-329-5526. I got a voice mail, went to the website it said to apply I must complete a survey. i called pacific research tech they have no such person in their employment.

I just got this as a reply to a job ad in craigslist (that wasn't even supposed to be for a home-based job!):

Beware everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the same E-Mial today... I went to the website and of course endless survey's.  So, I went to the sit again and was able to unlock it.  I was asked 5 question's then given a number ( to use later for the position I qualified for.) then I was re-directed to the survey's.  I did this unlocking several times and answerd the question's diffrent each time and was given the same exact number.  Then I googled the site and found out what I already knew.  It's A big SCAM!!!!  BEWARE!!!  His last name should of been a hint.  Grench.  LOL!!!

I responded to a real looking job posting on Craigs list and received the following correspondence this morning 10/17/09. I immediately looked it up on line to see if it was a scam and sure enough it is. The response email is below in it's original format with my response at the end.

I rec4ived an email from this individuaql, as well.  I back tracked the number to find that it is a cell phone serviced out of New York City, NY.  I did also call the number, but did not get an answer; it was a voicemail.  Yeah, it is a scam.

Am receiving emails regarding the webiste pacificesearchtech.com to upload resume and to apply and that a robert grench willcontact me for a job position...nobody has contacted me and I felt like it was a scam...you have to fill out numerous surveys to unlock the screen...which in the email indicates you to continue but it seems to be not real!! Beware!!

I googled the company - it doesn't exist. The website www.PacificResearchTech.com is a phony site that links to endless surveys. I googled the phone number and found this site. Also found several sites listing it as a performing dance troup.
This scam needs to be stopped.
