Just had a call from Ed Smith, 602-310-1644, asked for the owner by name, said he was from RLS Construction, said owner would know what it was about-sounded fishy, found this sight and other people posting same things, and it was confirmed!

This clown Ed Smith called with the same ole bs. He demanded to speak to the owner of the company. When I told him that he would not receive a call back unless we knew what he wanted, he got huffy and said we should know who he is. When I told him we knew 6 Ed Smiths, he mocked me. What a loser. Earth is full, go home!!!

Got a VM from Ed Smith this morning. Google saved the day. Deleted the voice mail and blocked the caller. I always let out of area calls go to voice mail anyway. I really can not believe these blade sales companies are still around. Who the heck is buying from them?

Got the same Ed Smith, same company RLS construction and the same phone number ending in 1644.  The dead give away for me, as always is he knew my boss's first name but not that my boss is a woman, not a man.  Sorry for his luck

Received a VM from this guy Ed today, which was the first to date. He said he was the owner of RLS Construction and left a callback 661-310-1644. I see that you all have been referring to him as Ed Smith. However, in the message he left me, he seemed to intentionally make his last name incoherent. He must be aware that the Smith is already flagged!

Got a VM from Ed Smith, glad I went to check out the company on google before I called him back.

this eddie smith called my boss also when I told him all call go though me he got real upset and told me if he wanted to talk to me he would have asked for me.  after I told him we were not interested he got real upset and hung up on me the only thin is number he gave me was 661-310-1644

I just got the same call from Ed Smith "OWner of RLS"... but the number was a little different 661-310-2545.  He got very defensive when I asked what the call was regarding to leave a message for my boss.  He said that he would know, I told him that wouldn't do and he just said tell him Ed Smith with RLS Construciton and hung up very quick.... SUPER SHADY! AND RUDE

Just had the exact same experience ,but I am a co-owner and told him I would try and help him if he told me the nature of the call . Would not , very rude.  I have a great equalizer for the really rude some of you may take advantage of. An airhorn in the phone. They never call back.
With these guys attitudes they need to come to Texas and mess with some of our big ole country boys to put them in their place!  Think positive there are fewer of the crazies than nice women like us! Smile!

We keep receiving calls from Ed Smith as well, but from 661-310-2545.  Interesting that ALL the employees last names are SMITH and they are all the "owner"...I posted this on another stream earlier:  

Keep getting calls from a man claiming to be Ed Smith, the owner of RLS Construction and selling saw blades.  We have repeatedly referred him to our project, and told him our office does not purchase tools or equipment, but he still calls here (and has never contacted our project).

I received a call today and the caller said he was the same person, but voice was different and sounded younger.

"Ed Smith-RLS Construction"..called for the owner, when told he wasnt available he asked for his cell number, which we dont give out and Ed Smith said "I already have it he gave it to me yesterday" I said then why did you ask for it if you have it because by then I had it figured out and he started screaming..then I blew a whistle in his ear which I happened to have in the top drawer of my desk..Now he has a reason to scream!

this jerk Ed Called for my previous owner.  Not a good morning not a hello may I speak to .....it was HEY !  Very RUDE individual.

Was sort of hesitant, I get MANY SALES CALLS but as a good businessmen I am I called mr. smith back, Great Company Accually. Sad To See These People Upset. Spoke with Ed, A Real Friendly Guy wished me a happy holiday, an explained what he was doing.

Received a second call from Ed Smith from RLS Construction however the phone is just slightly different 661-310-2545.  Thanks for the info all who have had the call before.

He called and said he was following up on a mailing.  I didn't believe him.

I got a call from Ed Smith with RLS Construction.  It sounded very noisey in the back ground so i immediately thought it was a bogus call.  I called after the were closed (I guess) and got their voicemail. decided NOT to leave a msg and just googled him and found this .  I didn't have to deal with him, yet. Although he may be the one who called me a couple of months ago.  I told him i wasn't interested. He said i was the rudes person he had ever talked to and literally all I said was, "No thank you, i'm not interested. " a few months before that i got a call from a guy that asked if i had a "p%&nis. iin my pocket that i must be full of testosterone for a woman.  A real Jack a$$.

This guy has been calling here for years. So sick of his crap! "Ed Smith", the "owner", of RLS Construction calling to speak to the owner and just mad as heck that I won't let him talk to my boss, whose name he doesn't even have right. It would be funnier if he weren't so dang rude!

We've never purchased anything from them and our phone number is on the Do Not Call Registry. I have decided to report this jack*** to the FTC to see if I can get it to stop... maybe it'll work. Has anyone else tried this??

661-310-0949 calls and says all what the other comments state..Can I speak to ___ the owner's name, yes as if he know them..and he goes on saying he's the owner of LRS or RLS Construction which ever I'm sure at the time is more convenient for him...he's a liar and you can tell it in his voice...he wanted to know if our company cuts concrete and we said no and so he hung up...

Just received yet ANOTHER call from Larry, "owner" of RLS construction, 661-310-3280.  As per their usual script, he asked for the owner (by first name, at least he didn't try to mangle the last name this time).  I informed him (as always) that owner was unavailable and asked how I could help him.  Received the same song & dance story, he said (owner) knows him and that is was business call and that (owner) would know what it is about.  Really wish they would give up, or at LEAST be a bit more creative.  

First time they called, the owner did call him back.  As others reported, they are trying to sell sawblades, offering to send them out risk free, etc.  Of course, if you DO allow them to send them, they will charge you ridiculous amounts and I believe they will set you up for automatic shipments.

BEWARE...

Received a voicemail from a "Ray Smith"...guess they're running out of names to use...from RLS Construction.  Insisted that my boss return his call.  Fat chance of that happening now after visiting this site.  Thanks everyone for reporting these meatballs!

Call from 610-310-1647, same thing, same company, different number this time.  RLS Construction is a high pressure, mean, sales pitch.  Just hang up on them because there is no other satisfaction.  They cussed out my Admin Assistant because she would not transfer them.

Just took a call from a Richard Snuff with RLS construction promising me that he wasn't trying to sell anything just wanted to talk to my boss.  last 4 digits of his number was 0947.  Sounded fishy, so glad when I researched & found all of this.  Number is now in the trash.

My wife recieved a call from Ed Smith today. She asked what this was about. Ed says "the boss knows what this is about" Have him call me. I google the # and found this site.

Just listened to Smith's voice mail he left me, sounded fishy so I Goggled the number and here I am. New it was a scam!

Same here - Caller identified himself as "Ed Smith" - called from 661-310-2545.  He wanted to speak to our owner and would not say what is call was pertaining to, but claimed our owner knew him and would want to speak to him.  BOGUS SALESMAN

I have taken messages from Jessie,Larry, Ed & Joe Smith for my boss with several return numbers the most recent is 661-310-1644. They have even said that they would call him on his cell which was actually line 2 in my office and was very surprised when I answered. They are all RUDE and report that my boss has called them and they are returning the call.  We try to shop local since we are a municipality, but it does not discourage the SMITH'S.

Took a call for my boss from Ed Smith with RLS Construction, phone # 661-310-0910.  He said my boss would know what is was pertaining to.  It sounded like a sales call but I took his number.  My boss did not recognize the name and asked me to research the company, I am glad I found this blog.
