My husband recieved a call from a man with a heavy indian accent and said the same thing. It was hard to understand him but what I got out of it was this is a legal issue and if I dont call back we will be in trouble. He also said if we dont call him back that we should find a legal representative. I knew it sounded fishy. I decided to google it and found this thread. I'm going to show it to my husband tomorrow.

Tell them you have submitted their info. to the FBI. I have been harassed forever, and got a new phone, and they called it today.illegal.

Got a call saying I was being investigated and they were going to send the police but when you call the number they do not even answer with a company name, the BBB says there is an internet scam going around so be careful if u try to get a loan online that is how they get your information.

keep getting this threat from a Jeff Anderson, foreign accent, calls me at work...what can be done about it?

I had this phone call this morning at 8. Same spiel. Except he had my social security number and my DL number. Worries me A LOT! What should I do?

Received a call from this number. Guy identified himself as Jeff Anderson with a very middle eastern accent. He said he was from the Crime Department and that I needed to seek legal representation and that cops would show up at my house or job.  Oh and that only God can help me if I fail to call him back. LOL. I have had these same types of calls for months and you just ignore them. Its the same mechanical, choppy, scripted middle eastern voice but with a different number each time. I just block them on my work phone.  Whatever you do if you should be so lucky to receive these calls, do not give them any banking information, do not agree to settle with them and in turn give them your bank account. You will be wiped out for sure and targeted for further harassment.  Just ignore!! They will eventually go way. Don't pick up or they will just keep calling. Good luck.

I received the same thing and they tried telling me they were going to send cops to my job for something that is in my bankruptcy!  Debt collectors!

I HAVE RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER STATING THEY WERE AN INVESTIGATOR FROM SOME US CRIME DEPARTMENT....AND WHEN I TRIED TO GET INFO FROM HIM...HE HUNG UP ON ME

I have receiving calls from James Carter with an accent saying he is from the US department. saying that I have be involve some serious crime/fraud to gave him a call. I totally believe this is SCAM!!!!
