THIS IS ALL A BIG SCAM- DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE. THEY GET YOUR INFO IF YOU APPLIED FOR A LOAN ONLINE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THEY TRY TO SCARE YOU SAYING YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JOB OR BE ARRESTED AT YOUR JOB IF YOU DON'T CALL THEM BACK OR COOPERATE WITH THEM- THEY ACT LIKE THEY KNOW YOU & YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER- DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  BELIEVE ME ONCE YOU START HARRASSING THEM & SAY YOU WILL CALL THE POLICE ON THEM THEY HANG UP RIGHT AWAY! THEN THE PHONE NUMBER NO LONGER WORKS SHORTLY AFTER THAT, THEY CHANGE THE PH NUMBER AND THE FAKE "AMERICAN" NAME THEY GIVE THEMSELVES!

Debt Collector
I got a phone call from 347-377-8811 The guy by the name of luke marshel badge number 8911 said if i did not pay $450.00 by tomorrow that my account with cash advance usa will go to court and I will have to pay any where from $4000 to $8000. So I told him I would do it tomorrow in the mean time i looked up on the internet to find site for the new york police bureau of criminal investigation which investigates frauds and criminal activity. Now last time I checked but not paying a cash advance place would not go to the police it would go to a collection agency. But I don't remember ever even taking out an advance through them. So my police department told me to contact new york police department and see if they had an officer with that badge number which i had to call the guy back to get it and I told him that i was going to call the new york police department which he then said ok go ahead thats fine but let them know that you will be taking this action up in court. Sounds to me like a scare tactic to get me not to call them. New York police department even said its a scam!!!!! Thank god cause I really don't have $450 dollars to just fork out.

Bureau of Crime Investigation???? Sounds like something one would find on one of those toy badges that come out of the cereal box.  If he calls you back I have two words for you; metal whistle.  If he's still on the line after you let him have it, let him know that in the US, it's not a criminal offense, even if you do owe money; no such thing as debtors prison, either.

this Indian sounding man called my niece that there's an arrest warrant for me, i told her to report his number to the FBI/Homeland security if he should call her again.  I called this number, no one picks up, i recognize the sound of the indian man who tried to scam me a week ago.  These ppl have to be stopped, innocent ppl will be harmed of their hard earned money.

I also get this phone call today on my cell.  It was hard to understand what exactly he was saying so I hang up and looked up the number on the net to find out it is a scam.  I called the number back and the same person who called me answered.  After I told him that I received a call from this number, he asked me for the name of the person who called me and I told him I didn't know.  For that, he told me to contact my local police department and hung up.  I don't take telemarketers lightly.  They bother me so I will bother them.  For my entertainment purpose, I call them back and talk to them in a very southernly language and for that they get mad cause now they can't understand me. LOL...  I am enjoying this on a daily basis.

I received a message from 347-377-8811 something about fraud and an investigation.  The Indian accent was so think I couldn't understand most of the message.  I did hear call back right away with name and birth date.  I called the number and the answering machine said the company was VCI.  I already called my bank and put a security alert on my account.  I received another call and when I told him I've already contacted my local authorities he hung up.  Beware of this scam.

On 9/12/11 at 3:19pm PST. I received a call on my cell phone from 347-377-8811. I did not answer the call because i did not recognize the number. They left a voice mail and on it a male caller with a heavy indian accent stated that he was calling from the Federal Crime Investigators and there was a crime committed that involved my name address & social security number. The caller stated i needed to return his call as soon as possible. I went online to look up the phone number and found several other complaints about the same phone number & the same male caller with a heavy indian accent. I was able to find this website through reading other complaints.
