I received a call from "Name unknown" on 9/22/2011 @9:32AM. Around that time I received a flurry of voicemails from a man with an Indian-sounding accent claiming to be an officer with an Anglo Saxon name and obviously reading from a script. Not a native speaker of American English, or british, for that matter -- his inflection was all wrong. (He tried to scam the wrong former ESL teacher...) He may have been the same guy looking for "Brandy" as in numerous other wheedling voicemails I received around then.

The alleged government department was one that would not exist in the USA -- not a ministry, but something akin to that word. I think he used the word "authority" -- but it had nothing to do with transportation!

Sounds like impersonating an officer of the law is another charge that could be added, if he is ever apprehended.

I got a call from an Indian speaking Officer Walter Jones telling me I was being investigated for fraud. I thought How can that be, I would like to know how I can stop this person from scaring other people.

I got the same phone call on my job today, he told me it was about a check cashing place that filed so I asked him for the number to call him back, he told me not to call him. So when I got home this evening my husband told me someone called for me and showed me the number and it was the same number. I call back to talk he then explains that I was under investigation and that if I pay $480 it can be resolved or go to court. So I started asking him questions and asked when was this check written, now when I asked him when I was at work he told me 3 months ago, when I got home he told me 6 months ago. I told him he lying because I don't use check cashing places, and that I'm not stupid. So I told him to mail it to me since he told me my address. He kept on saying are u gonna pay it? I told him I'm not a dumb a** I'm not sending no money if there is nothing written and in my hand. He hung up. So I called him back and asked him his name he told me Patrick Wilson. I told him your lying you told me u was Taylor when u called me at work. Plus u speaking with a hell of a accent to be name Patrick Wilson. He hung up on me again. I called him back asking what is you badge number because I have an uncle who is a detective in new york. He just started giving me numbers. And hung up. He didn't like it when I was asking him the fourth degree.

i got the same call from jack williams claiming to be an nyc police  they read me back my ecact ssn# and not happy be careful everyone and who ever heard of an indian named jack williams?

was called from a man with a indian accent claimimng he was a police officer named jack willaims he said i was being investigated for fraud to call him back. i havent but he has my ss# bank acct he called my place of employment threated my boss even . we did contact our bank explained to them what was goin on and also called  FBI they do have 12 or more complaints on him already. everyone please watch out i was told it was more like identity theft  than a money scam. i would like to know where this person got all my  information from my bank acct number ss# and etc.

I actually work at the address that this IDIOT is giving...had someone call to ask if we shared the building with anyother offices and i said yes, I went ahead and asked the young lady who called (she was the one who got the phone call) to give me the number; long story short....Indian man who said he was at this address but said he was on the 104th Fl...we don't have 104 floors!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! REPORT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These fools have hacked into my account and took my money. After i closed the account the idiots decided to call and threaten me over the phone. First mistake was calling me, second when you take money from a bank it is traced through a wire transfer number that is linked with your information..2nd they hate me now because I'm close to locating and ending there FRAUD AZZEZZ....YOU PICKED THE WRONG ONE FOOLS....This is what happens when you know higher ups in big places that have many connections. I'am blabbering ALL THIS OUT CAUSE WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE....PEOPLE IT IS GOING TO BE OVER SOON....Go and set up alerts through experian it is free and it hurts there business as they use your social security number.

I have recieved calls from Patrick Wilson. He said I was charged with check fruad. I have not recieved any information from him about my charges. I need to know the next step to take.

The same thing happened to me today. They called me at work and threatened that if didn't pay them $410 I would have to go to court and possibly go to jail. He said it was for an unpaid loan and when I told him I've never taken out a loan in my life and he'd have to take me to court he hung up. Huge scam.

Yes I've been called and they left messages calling out my ss# and they know your basic info..Gave me a case number.  wanting me to settle out of court for $410 get real.. for a loan I did not apply for and check fraud too kiss my a**^%$#!!  I will be changing my banking info too..

I had man claiming to be an officer with the Investigations Department for New York, I asked him what was the name of the company he was calling from and he said the Investigations for New York and he was an Officer,  I told him he was a f---- a--- hole and he has no right to call me and pretend to be an officer.  He said I was under investigation and someone would come and arrest me tomorrow.  I will be waiting!  Lol  I told him I am reporting him for impersonating an Officer and he said he was and it is legal. I asked him how much money he was looking for and what it was for, he said he did not want money just that i was under investigation.  But would not tell me for what, I finally got out of him that he works for over 200 companies or so he claims.  I told him to take me off the call list and never to call again, I will see what happens.  I think they just try are using scare tactics to get money from people.  Screw him he can go f--- himself.

so i called them back... talked to an officer "scott barks" and informed him that i work for the dept of homeland security and that i have put in a formal request to investigate his "federal" investigation and his "federal" department that he works for. i also explained to him that this conversation is being recorded from my "federally funded phone line" and that i would like to know which dept he falls under... he started to stutter... started to ask me about my officer #, explained that i am not at liberty to provide it and i heard someone in the background yell at him to hang up in an Indian language lol...

i love baffling these guys...

Guy called saying that he was an officer and had neglagent charges and needed paid said his name was Scott Berks. total Scam accually got money out of my account im gonna get his a** too!!!!

today a indian man called me stating his name was frederick wilson from the dept of financial investigations and that  i was under investigation for violation of banking regulation, check fraud, and theft by deception. he told me i could pay the money i owed (410.00) outside of court or i would have to go hire a lawyer and possilbly do jail time. He gave me all of my information including my ssn. when i tried to ask questions he would just keep talking so i hung up. he called back a few hours later and left a message saying his name was robert something...Now i KNOW this was a scam...i kinda hope he calls back tmrw so i can yell at him!!! do not fall for this crap...his caller id says WPI, Group inc...DONT ANSWER!!

I received 5 calls from this person claiming to be Walter Jones, they called my place of Employment Claiming that I was under Investigation for Fraud.When I told them I knew it was a scam and I was going to report them, He (Walter Jones) hung up on me. And still continued to call. How do you get rid of them.????????????????????

I have a cousin who has been going through the same problem, with someone saying that she owes them money. These people need to get a life, and stop harassing innocent people. Someone  needs to do something about this. They have called her at home and at work harassing her. They call themselves unknown callers. They better be glad that they are, and that they don't know me. My name is not Big Boss for no reason. When I speak everyone listens, and these 347 nuts better be glad that they can't hear me. Ja-son,momma, daddy, sister, brother, daughter, cousin, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, grandmother, grandfather, cousins, and friends just don't know, man I tell you!!  Now listen here, if he calls again tell him that you will be sending the money by carrier pigeon on the 32nd day of the month, because that's when your great great great great great great grandparents are going to give you your inheritance, and that it will get their as soon as possible. Or have someone use their phone and say that they are from the department of criminal investigations, and that the number has been traced maybe that will help. I am sorry that you all have to go through this. My goodness people these days need help, I tell you!!

I have a solution. Call in bomb threats to the Gujarati authorities and basically threaten that if the calls from Gujarat do not stop, we will be forced to send Afghani suicide bombers into India.

I just laugh at them which ticks them off no end and tell them either this call is being recorded, or trying to trace the call, or I am not interested in their scam. Tell them that you are reporting therm to the Secret Service or the FBI. The problem is that law agencies cannot do anything about these lowlifes because they operate "offshore".  They are just trying to get money from you. You could do what one fellow did and give them the numbers from an old defunct credit card. It may not be nice, but it will give you some satisfaction. The main thing is not to sound afraid. That is what they want.

India accent man called me and said Department of Investigations. His name is Jason Parker he gave me a case number and knew my social security number and said im under investigation for Fraud and im in big trouble.  He is still calling me everyday for about a week. He is now calling me at my job..I dont know what he is talking about a debt that i owe.  I wish that he would leave me alone.

they took money out of my bank acct once i had it reversed but can they or have they took any out of anyone elses? i am in the process of changing my bank acct now but its a hassel

i had someone call me 2 times saying they was investigating me for fraud and he was from the new york police deportment. he went as far as to call my employer and talk to my boss i want them stopped please!! i could have lost my job cause my boss thought i was involved in fraud . he said i made a payday loan and didnt pay it back so i would have to pay 680.00 to stay out of jail and keep my name clear thanks

Keep calling my house and leaving messages on my answering machine saying he is with the Dept. of investigation, and that I am under investigation and that I will end up going to the state courts. If I am tying to run away from the problem then I am making things wrost on myself, and I need to contact him.

i got that same call more than 1 time, i never answer my phone to talk to them. He does have a strong Indian accent.  He told me i would be in BIG trouble if i didnt call.

I got called five times in 4 days, and eventually I responded to the voicemail just to see what was up, and then I found out that they have my SS#, my bank account #, and kept threatening to take me to court. They then told me that they're going to start taking $100 out of my account every other Friday. I called my bank to stop it, and filed a complaint with the WI Financial instution. These people are lowlifes and I can't wait to see them caught and locked up forever.

I had an indian guy call me 2 times and leave messages saying that i need to call him back today because i am under investigation for fraud and that if i dont call him back today then he will have the police at my house and work to arrest me.  yeah right.  he also said that he was a detective not sure of his name that he called himself.  a detective wouldnt call ahead and warn you that they are coming. im not stupid.  im not giving them a dime and they can stop calling or i will find a way to sue their a***s off.

I am a little smarter than this. If I was under investigation for fraud they wouldnt call me and give me a heads up about it they would just arrest me.  A detective wouldnt call me and tell me to call him today or the police would be at my house and work place that would be stupid. I am tempted to call them back and just ask them if they think im stupid or something.

I got a call saying that I was being investigated for financial fraud and to call and it was a foreign man saying that he was a detective and if i didnt call him back today then he would have an officer at my door and at my work place to arrest me.  This was left on my voicemail. This is the 2nd time he has called me saying the same thing. I havent called back yet.
