Thank for the info, they text me, it a New York City phone number

After quoting everything in my ad back to me via text, except the part of the ad that said "NO TEXT MESSAGES," they also tried to get my PayPal account information. They said they would pay full asking price for my truck, sight unseen, then send a courier for it after payment had been accepted. They were unreachable by phone, and remained very adamant about only texting, even had a series of excuses why they couldn't call.

This is a group of ppl from overseas who have set up scam central in the Bronx, NY.  Stay vigilant.  Stay away from them.  In God I trust - all others I question.

I got text messages and emails from this number. He sent me fake paypal payment informations with the Paypal logo and all. I called Paypal they said it was a fake. Pretty sad that you cant trust people. Call Paypal for your self if you get a text from this number.

Yep. Craigslist scammer.  They don't know English very well at all.

Got a call text from this number wanting pay pal info with out looking at what I had for sale I posted 3 diff items got 3 texts from same number its a scam

it's an advanced fee scam.  ignore them..  craigslist is cash and in person only. Paypal facilitates their criminal actions as well.

Got a txt about camper from craigslist and wanted me to get a paypal account.  I sent them a invoice and still they say I need to do something with western union.  Paypal does nothing with western union and they still insisted on myself to pay money out of my pocket.  If I'm selling I shouldn't be out of anything.

Got texts from this number about craigslist ad wanting paypal email.  Gave up when I told them I only acceped cash.   Don't understand what they were going to do with my paypal email.

I got a call from this number. Asked for price and condition. I was told to set up Paypal account.

Scam. They text me regarding a craigslist post and said to email them price and condition. And that they was at work. Its a scam. Don't let them get you!
