A man named Michael Thompson called my work(heavy east Indian accent) number. Called my sister as well.
When I called them back to let them know I was on to their fraudulent activities, he replied *@1X you

thick accent with a name like david jones...threatens a lawsuit against your social security number, even gives the last four digits.  doesn't speak very clearly but then ends with "God bless you."  REALLY?  i'm guessing that is supposed to cancel out the ILLEGAL threat of litigation.

Got a call from Dwayne Carson (heavy indian accent) saying I must resolve a legal issue with a payday loan.  This is all a scam!!!!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

I have received calls from several of them with same accent,Armando Eliandro,David Watson,Lee Wienhouser,claiming I owed money to payday loan which they already took $437.00 out of my account...and still harrassing me and my co-workers even my boss ,stating they have a legal matter against me that if i didnt pay all the amount they claimed i owed, they will send the sheriff to my house or my workplace and bust me,also that they were going to block my social security number...can people do that?now they call and said i still owe $180.00 and that if I dont pay at the end of November 2012 then December  1st the amount i owe will go up to $700.00 dollars.

Some guy named David Watson tells me i owe money for a legal matter....very very nasty calling me outside of my name because i started asking him questions about his location, address, callback number they do not want to give any information then gets upset when u don't answer their questions...smh

calls your employment,nastyy attitude..over and over...Kevin Mark calls,then wants to put someone else on phone..says that there is a claim against your ss number...all harrasment...several times a day..

I got a message from a David Jones calling from PCS, he left me the number (347)497-6786. He then called my place of employment over and over and over after my manager, fellow employees and I asked them not to call back, he even got vulgar with one of my fellow employees.

Yep I received a call today at my job.  They seem to cycle every few months to start the phone calls.  The company is still PCS and they are still calling with very hard to understand accents.  They keep saying I owe them money, but of course cannot tell me when and where.  They keep saying I will face legal charges and be in court and maybe even loose my job.  I have told them before in this country and since I live in NY they need to read me my FCC rights.  Of course they can't because they are not familiar with the real laws here.  It is a scare tactic and a huge scam.  I just wish they would stop calling.  Oh well Ray Wilson will call again.  They call my cell and my office.  Very unprofessional..

i recieved a call from this number 347-497-3773 and the guy left a message saying his name david watson and that i needed to call him back on 347-497-6786 or there would be legal actions aganst me. now  they are. calling me with unidentified numbers now and swearing at me.

I received a message today on my Work Phone from Dave Watson (again very deep indian accent) stating he was calling from Publi Credit Services and that it was very important that I got back to him today because the was some legal issuse against me SS #.  He asked that I delete the message once I was finished listening to it and to call him and he would explain everything.  He gave me the number of 347-497-6786 but he sounded very unsure of the #.  I could hear a lot of  indian accentchatting in the back ground. the whole call was very suspicious.

Called to speak with an employee at work. VERY VERY RUDE. Person could barely speak english, yet they told me I needed to go back to school to learn english.

Messages & calls from PCS. Even called my sister.  When I called back very unprofessional and won't give any info.  Kept asking my name and when I mentioned an attorney they began cursing very vulgar language and hung up.

This was the call back number they left, I am not sure what number they called with because I missed the call. I believe this is a scam. The man on the line told me that my wife's name was used as a reference for a payday advance loan.
