---> CeeCee pleaded, "Please report this jerk to the number above." <---

That's for you to do.  Otherwise, all we could report is that an undentified guy from some telephone number called someone and claimed he was a DEA agent.  And how do we know this?  An anonymous person on the Internet said so.

No so convincing when we have to put it that way, is it?

The reason that these calls cannot be stopped is that people like you do not take the advice of people like "Alfalfa" above to call the DEA at the number given in Alfalfa's post and report the call to them.  Instead, they bellyache on sites like this that the calls cannot be stopped and that there is no recourse to that, which is demonstrably incorrect.

Prank Call
Just received two calls from same "DEA" agent.   Connection was very poor.  He addressed me as Mrs. Kay (!!).  I hung up on him.  He immediately called me back and very rudely said there was a warrant out for my arrest.  I told him I DON'T THINK SO and hung up.  Why can't these calls be stopped??  These idiots are able to ghost legitimate numbers and harass us with no recourse.  Just plain irritating.

Prank Call
I received a p/c from this nasty person today from 347-531-2660. I listened to my voice msg. that this guy left on my phone. He said he was a DEA officer and I needed to call him back asap. Needless to say I almost had a severe panic attack. It just so happen that a good friend of mine who is a lawyer came over.  I returned the call and my first inkling was their was no extension to put in as he said his  ext. was  221. He didn't answer but called back after I assume he listened to my message. He became rude, nasty and said his officers were on the way to pick me up because I was involved in drug trafficking. My lawyer threatened him and the guy was just as rude and insisting that he was a DEA agent, Please report this jerk to the number above. I also called his phone company which is time-warner in NYC and reported this abuse and impersonating a drug enforcement agent is illegal. I honestly hope that the powers that be will find him and punish him to the fullest extent of the law.

ALERT - EXTORTION SCAM - ALERT
DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators
The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

I got the same call  today 19 May.  Did not give them a chance to ask for money.  He said he was agent Wilbur Plummer who also told me he was investiging us in reference to ordering hydrocodone on the internet in 2005 and 2006 from somewhere in the Carribean.  I told him, first of all, that he would have to prove to me he was and his response was "fine, I'll send a unit to your house right now".  I told him to go ahead.  Told me he was signing the warrant to search my house right now and would have it delivered.  We would also have to go to court next week.  Said this was a federal investigation and said I would, not could, go to prison for 3 years..   I did not give him a chance to go any further.  He was rude, nasty and any number of other expletives I can't mention here.  Anyone else getting a call from this number should hang up on Agent Wilbur Plummer!   Don't these idiots have anything better to do than to try to scare the hell out of people.

I got I call on Friday, May 10, 2013 from a Dominic Lopez claiming to be with the DOJ.  He said I was being charged with two federal counts, as my name appeared during the investigation of an internet drug company.  I was then handled over to Agent Wilbur Plummer, who told me her was negotiating with the some country in the islands and that I would have to agree to testify in New York and cooperate in order to have the charges dropped.  Then he said I had to wire $1750 to the Dominican republic for court fees, and I should tell the clerk that I knew the person I was wiring the money to.  Of course I was scared and rattled so I agreed.  I immediately got on line, looked up the DEA, called, and was told its a scam.  The jerk called back an hour later, I said I didn't do it, I'm being scammed-Don't call me any more.

Tonight, I receiced another call from the 347 exchange.  I am starting to get pissed
