Wanted to know who owns this number.

A man from India, claiming to be Officer Stone, claims he has a legal matter against me.  Gave me this number to call his supervisor, but he was calling from an entirely different area code altogether.

My office got a phone call to from a man with an indian accent, calling from the "office of Mike Stone" in the legal affidavit department. When pressed said this was not involving the business but rather a personal legal matter and that it was an emergency -- need to speak to me right away.

Got a call similar to the one abve from a man with an Indan accent claiming to be a Detective Adams in the legal affidavit department. He claims that I got a cash advance from a company in the amount of 300 dollars which is totally untrue.  When questioned as to the name of the company, he refused to give me the name. I am currently waiting on the sheriff department to contact me so that I can give them the phone number and information. I had my friend to call shortly after I did and she spoke to so called Detective Miles who refused to give her any information other than hs name.

Called them back. They said my husband had taken out a payday loan last June for 300.00 and didn't pay it back. Funny---my husband was unemployed last June and didn't have a bank account. Told them to send  me  by certified mail all the details and I would give it to my lawyer to handle. He just said ok. Don't think I will be getting anything. Hopefully that will stop the calls. AT&T said they couldn't stop them. My next step would be to file a complaint with the FTC.

This is a scam to get money. I told him when I finally did talk to him, that I had given the number to the BBB and that they are working closely with the FBI to find out exactly the address. I think everyone that has been called should inform there governors office as well as the BBB and the FBI. Hopefully they will catch up with the bastards and send them back were they belong or to jail.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
