If the check arrives in the mail, have your bank check the validity but DO NOT DEPOSIT the check.  They way this scam works is they send you a check for more than the purchase price to cover shipping but you have to send the money (usually wire via Western Union)  to the "movers" he has contracted to obtain your item.  After you have sent the shipping fee you find out the check was bogus and you cannot reach the person who sent it to you.

He wants definitely my furnitures and offer 50 dollars more....I never gave him my name and address, but I told him I only take cash, he continued texting me and I repeated Only Cash and he stop sending more messages. That person should be on jail .SOB

I literally just got a txt from this same number about my Craigslist ad too and it matches everyone else's description here. I live in Omaha Nebraska. I sent back a reply after finding this website saying "nice try a***ole."

Just received a text message from the same number you listed wanting to buy a bike I posted on Craigslist. He wanted to pay via cashier's check, plus an extra $50.00 I live in Alaska....definitely a scam!!!

This number contacted me by text at 5:30 am this morning, with a desire to purchase a piece of jewelry I have listed on Craigs list.  Claims to be a petroleum engineer.  Wants my name and address to send certified check for purchase.  
When I searched the number, it derives from NY area.  I am half way across the nation from NY.  
This is most certain, a scam.
