She just tried to scam me today. I got a bogus story about a free Yamaha a guy needed to get rid of that he had bought for his grandson that passed away. They tried to get me to send $560 for the delivery of a motorcycle. The ad was on Craigslist. Too bad for them I have a lot friends that are cops. Hopefully their scamming days are over!

A man named James Kamada just called our newspaper, new guy answered and I overheard conversation, he wanted to run a classified liner.  New guy was struggling to understand his thick accent, I heard "free motorcycle" and told him "SCAM"!!!  "James" gave a credit card number with a local billing address, guarantee it's stolen credit card info.  He gave email for reply in the ad, jkamada11@yahoo.com, he didn't want a phone number in the ad.  EVERY detail of this call was the mark of a scam, we didn't run the credit card and are obviously not going to run the ad.  I wish more people at local newspapers recognized the signs of these scams, it would help prevent their local readers from getting fleeced.

Hey everyone! This IS a scam! Same thing JUST happened to me in yucaipa CA.! The person went by brani boyle feeding me the same exact lines that are in this thread of posts. I confronted "brandi" about it stating that once I googled the company it didn't show up...he said it was under construction. I said once I added his name to the search, I found this tjread. I confronted him about it stating that the only way I will buy the bike is if i send him an email as a contract stating that the capital of the company covers the shipping cost and once the bike is delibered at my doorstep then I will pay in full but if the bike does not arrive then I will sue for 1.2 milliin dollars for fraud. He got all sceptical and said that he will contact michael wills and see if it is ok. Then I asked so when I call you back later, is this number going to be disconnected? And he said I will have another person do the business with you. So I called him out on b***s*** and fraud and he basically hung up on me. I wish I had the technology to trace cell phone calls so I can find this a***ole and beat him an inch from death.  Do NOT GIVE IN TO THIS CHAOS!

The same scam being perpetrated via a  Annapolis, Maryland newspaper.  Same sob story, pics of Harley low rider, etc..  I did same as one of the above by saying I have relatives all over NJ and could have them pick it up. Response was same motorcycle shipping gmail address that prompted call from "Brandi" who is hardly understandable.  I've worked in the federal law enforcement arena for over 30 yrs.  Because this scam is be committed across state lines, it is a federal matter.  I plan to refer this to my federal partners but suggest the best thing all of you can do is to do the same.  Because in the federal arena, this is relatively low dollar stuff, we need to generate enough complaints to get attention to it.  All need to send any info you have, names, phone numbers, addresses, copies of emails, etc. to agencies such as the FBI, FTC, Postal Inspectors, IRS Criminal Investigation and your state attorney generals.  This has gone on way too long.

I found the ad in a small town newspaper in Oklahoma, seemed funny it was free, however I just thought it was wrecked. So I sent the guy an email, and got the exact same message as the rest of you. I happen to have a dear friend in Jersey, so instead of contacting the "motorcycle moving company" I just told the guy I have a friend who can come by and pick it up until I can get up there this spring. He has yet to reply, and I have a pretty good feeling he never will.

We were both buying the bike at the same time. I sent you a personal e-mail. I got suspious when they wanted the money sent via money gram to a privvate name, not a company, no  invoice number or company name and phone number. Also the motorcycle moving company had way too many grammerical errors. It had the feel of them being foreigners as they tried to use the expression safe and sound, but said it backwards. I really trust the Lord and I am sooooooooo thankful that He led me to farther look into it and I'm thankful that so many of you stopped prior to purchasing..... nothing.
By the way, my letter from the owner was identical to all the other's too.

The Lord will deal with them........I'm not sweating it, but I will pass the word around.

I recieved a similar email from the same person. See below:

Hi ,
Thanks for your interest, The bike is still available .
I am currently located at my new house in New Jersey (NJ), I have already asked movers to bring the Bike down here to New Jersey (NJ) from my grand-son's house in the city where the AD was posted and was going to put up a new AD here in New Jersey (NJ) when the mover arrive, because my wife advised me to put up the ad on Craigslist as she doesn't want to see the bike anymore cos of the memory of our Grandson.

I bought the Motorcycle for my grandson as his birthday gift. Its 2004 Yamaha Yzf-R6 Sportbike,Mileage: 3,853,Engine Size: 600 cc  and it has a good title. It is some months now since he died and i would like to give it out and seeing the bike will bring back it memory and it makes us sad, as the house will be emptied soon and I myself will be relocating to Anchorage, Alaska where we shall stay with other family members for care.

If you are able to afford the delivery charges, so that I can coordinate the movers to return the bike to you where-ever you are located within the state as I only gave them the instruction yesterday evening, and I'm sure they will request for delivery fee from you.

Please let me know your position, you can reach the movers on: motorcycleshipping.co@gmail.com . I have attached some photo of it. This was taken two weeks ago.

Best Regards

I was really excited when I saw the bike on Craigslist for free. However my wife stopped me from buying the bike. I had even checked out the website of the shipping company, everything was legit. However, it was all just to good to be true. Don't let James Kamanda and his motorcycle on Craigslist fool you. It got my hopes up but then they were dashed.
