What did u do cuz I have already deposited the check but haven't touched any of the money

I recieved the same e-mail as everyone else did I also received a check that I have not cashed....thank you everyone for letting me know about this scam before it was too late!!!!!

I got the same email!!! It's a scam!

Just yesterday, I went to the police station and filed a report against this guy "Jeff Clegg". I got to speak with him and he had this very noticeable accent from India.
I was suppose to run my "first assignment" for him, but once I realized what it was I told him I would no longer work for him and would return his check once it had cleared.
He sent me the same message as the one shown on December 6th.
I urge everyone who has been scammed by this individual to notify the authorities so that they can track him and put an end to this!!!

This guy scammed me. I put the check into the bank and decided not to remove the money and send him the transfer so I took the check of 3,997 and took it out of my account and spent it after I found out it was a scam. I reported him to the counterfeit crimes division. They are searching for him.

Did the funds clear? He says he's sending me a check now?

I also found this guys add on craiglist for a personal assistant he had his supposedly client send me a check but I have told him I will not deposit it because it sounded like a scam but also has my personal information but not my account info.

My son is being harrassed as well and he cashed the check.  I just got off the phone with this person who says he is a business person. I told him he is a scammer and if the funds clear the bank, my son would send this man's money back.  I don't trust him.

My son deposited a check from this man who says he is in Idaho where we live.  I just got off the phone with the man who does not believe that the funds are on a 10 day hold.  He called me a liar and when I asked for a copy of the check he wouldn't do it after he said the check has cleared.  I asked what he does for a living and he wouldn't answer. If he was a real business person, he would know that funds are always being put on a hold and he wouldn't be so defensive when questions are asked about what he does.

I had email correspondence with this man saying I would be available to do work. I have not received any calls or checks yet, nor did I give him banking information, but he does have my personal contact information. What do you suggest I do?

It's a scam the Credit Union he writes the checks from the account isn't real.

I got a text out of the blue saying I got this job and he's sending me a check as soon as I call that ph.#. That's wnen I googled the # and got this site. I am not calling thanks to your posts. Thanks guys. We need more honest people sticking together this day and age. Thanks again.

same here this guy name jeff sent me $2,430 and told me he is a personal assistant.psh scam from craiglist

Potential Scam from craiglist. I believe this person is laundering money. It was said I would be a personal assistant. The check that was sent was for $2,430. I never deposited the check and now I'm being harassed.
