We have received dozens of abusive calls from this number, usually early in the morning.  Then we used selective  call rejection *60 to block calls from this number.  Silence for a week.  This morning we received another call from another number in the same area code.  There has to be some way to stop thisl

First, the DNC law does not affect those soliciting for charities among other categories of nuisance phone calls. Second, this is solely an information sharing forum, no one with any authority to take action is associated with nor monitors the comments left here.  Individuals must file their own complaints with the relevant agencies, in this case your elected members of congress. Only a change to the current law will put a stop to these type calls.

We are on a DNC list.  Nevertheless, we received repeated calls from an offensive individual looking for donations to an unrecognized fire department-related charity.  Upon questions to the caller, it seems like a scam.  Is anyone reviewing this list that can press charges?

Last "cop" I got was nasty. I donate only to my local Police dept.

I just got the same call. Guy knew my address and obviously my telephone number. When I said I couldn't donate, the guy hung up.

Had the same issue as Mike

I just answered they say its some unfamiliar sounding police department. Probably an identity theft scam
