recently went to a bridal show, submitted my info into a drawing for a free trip. The form asked for the company you have a credit card with, the amount of money you make each year, and name/address/phone. They called about 1 week later claiming I won, but then requested my credit card info. Total phishing scam... looking into reporting it to the fbi, etc.

My wife just got a call from 347-761-3022. The guy said that she filled out a form at the club and was randomly chosen and won a vacation. He then started telling her that she won a vacation to Bahamas and that he needs her address. I was right next to her and told her that it's ok to give out an address. Then she put me on the phone. The guy told me that my wife won a vacation for both of us to the Bahamas and Orlando. The prize was worth $2,000 and covered everything on the cruise and a car rental in Orlando. The "only" things we would be responsible for would be $299 per person in fees and $149 per person for port fees. Everything else would be covered. Then he also said that as a bonus we would get some "mini vacations" in Vegas and Mexico (just like Ryan on Oct 27 above). He sounded really nice, well-spoken and "honest". Then he asked me for my credit card number to pay the deposit. I told him I don't give out my credit card number to anyone. His tone of voice changed and he said "don't you give your credit card when you call an airline to buy tickets?" and I said "I go to delta.com to buy tickets". Then he said "I won't be able to secure your vacation and will have to give it to someone else --- next person on the list" - to what I said "please mail me or email me all the information and once I verify that this is a legit company I will gladly send it the check or pay in person" then he got really rude and said "good luck!!" and hung up the phone. F*ing scammers!!!!!!

I just got a call from this number aswell, offering the same great vacation. He asked for me to confirm my name, I thought sure this is ok. Then he asked for the expiry date of my Visa card... I was a little taken back by this. He said it was to confirm that the card was valid.

Then he told me about the vacation. 3 nights in Orlando, a cruise for 5 nights to the Bahamma's and then another 3 nights in Orlando. I was thinking this is too good to be true. So I kept listening... and the deal got sweeter...  I was then told about a 2 night mini vacation in Vegas and another in Mexico. So now I am wondering what this is all about. I let the guy continue and then he asked for the name on my credit card, so I told him. Then he asked for the number, I stopped in my tracks and made up a lie that it is maxed out and I can't put anything on it right now. He tried and tried to get me to put a deposit on my card but I hesiatated and he did not like that. So he is calling back tommorow... I will be sure to tell him where to go!!!

THIS IS A SCAM!! Beware everyone!

I went to a convention this past weekend and I entered to win a trip to Universal Studios, and a few other sweepstakes... Today, in about a 2 hour span, I received 4 phone calls from this 347 number. I NEVER pick up numbers I don't know, but I was curious as to who they thought they were calling and thought maybe it was serious or an emergency and I wanted to tell them they had the wrong number...

I answer the phone to this sickly sweet sounding guy, and he says my name and that I won a trip for 2 to the bahamas on a cruise and that he was from SB Vacations and I immediately typed it into my computer since I was on my laptop to see all the great places I would get to go on my free vacation - to my surprise, there is no such company!

Then he asked for my address - since I hadn't put it on the ballot - and I said hold on a second and promptly hung up!

Further investigation led me to the Better Business Bureau and then a friend recommended that I do a google trace on the number and found tons of stories and reports just like these and I am so glad I thought fast and hung up without giving any hints that I knew what was up! I hope they call back because they are going to get an ear full and I am reporting them to every single outlet at my disposal!

Thank you all for posting your stories!!

Received a call from 347-761-3022 this afternoon telling me that I qualified for trip to Mexico from a draw over the weekend. They cover 25% of the cost for a 5-star all-inclusive. The caller wanted me to give them my credit card details to book. I asked her to send the details by email.  The caller said they could not do that ... oh right, of course, I understand ...sounds like a trick.

This is a total scam.  They told us that we could cancel at any time, and get ALL of our money back.  When we called back to cancel, they told us that we could only get back a total of $200. We are currently contesting the charges with the credit card company, and the police have been notified.

I just got a call from the same number - basically they are offering a similar deal as described above.

Interstingly enough, they've been calling me with a different number each time the past couple days - 8664698365 , 3474488890, 3474488890, 7185309134, 5052429988.

Boy am I glad that I 'googled' up the number to verify the caller ! These scammers need to be stopped !

i also went to the wedding show and filled out a ballot, they called me telling me that i have won a trip to the bahamas, and gave me all the lovely details, then asked for my credit card #. I hesitated and he told me to get a confirmation # they needed my visa number. I told him I would have to get it in my car and he could call back a bit later. I called the 1800 203 9783 number and got someone who didnt even state the name of the business, and was not very professional. Then I googled the phone number, which led me here! Im glad I at least had some sense not to give my credit # out. Im just wondering how a wedding show can allow these people to get this information!

Yes, just received the phone call, asking for my credit card number so they could send me ticket vouchers at $299/head.

I told them i didn't have the cash and the agent said he could call me back in an hour so i'd have time to free up the cash.  And i told him i needed more than that.  At first he said he couldn't hold these tickets for that long, and then i told him well then i guess i can't buy them.  Then he said he could call me back after 24 hours and i could give him my credit card number.

i also got a 1-800 number to call 1-800-203-9783, Ramada Plazas and Imperial Vacations, that was the name they gave me.
Which lead me to this link:

Got a call too.  He gave me a 800 number.  I googled it.  People have been scammed!  Don't buy!  Extra charges.  Crappy, filthy hotels.  The runaround on bookings!

Yuck!

If they call again I am going to tell them they should be ashamed of themselves!
