oh my god! i had rec'd almost the same story by mail tru FB from one man said that he is from houston doing the same kind of job in baghdad....but he didn't give me his phone numbers,i think he knows that i m smart and alert at this matter..he did post some of his photo to me.He ever asked me to give my phone number but i just ignored his request.

we had been chating about two months...

Thank goodness I google for this guy richard paul as the converse in email dun really reply to the qns i asked. And he asked the same qns which i have replied in the earlier email. Pls do not get fool by him. He contacted me via fb as well. Saying hes nt been in a relationship for 6yrs, his woman cheated on him w his best frd. He broken up 3weeks before wedding.

Hi, i have received the same message but from a guy called Roder Frederick, who claims he is Finnish. Everything else except the telephone no provided corresponds. He told me that he is in SA and gave me a cell no. I phoned the no once, but the reception was bad so i put down and never tried again. He has asked for my no again, but i did not give it. Fortunately, i have just kept it to my talking about everyday things. I have asked him to send some more pictures, so i will see if he replies. I have also had more or less the same kind of messages from a Phillip Jackson and Danny Schultz declaring that they want to get to know me. As soon as i told them i only wanted to be friends, the conversation dried up.

Almost the same email as he write to me. But his name was Eric Johnson

I received the EXACT SAME EMAIL with the EXACT SAME WORDS and EXACT SAME TYPOS (misspellings and grammar all included) at about the EXACT SAME TIME (date wise, maybe a few days earlier) but the name of the guy is different.

I could smell something fishy because the English used was not consistent and some of the info I conveyed was totally ignored (esp things at an emotional level that a person who is interested in you, would not generally ignore). How do we alert more and more people about this?

Sim, ele me mandou fotos, e disse que queria se casar comigo, que estava indo para o Iraque a serviço e que ficaria em alto mar, e para provar sua sinceridade ele me enviou um pacote com vários itens de valor. Bem, agora recebi um e-mail da transportadora pedindo que eu pagasse o valor de 2.200 dólares para liberar o pacote que esta na Malásia. Mandei um e-mail para o rapaz que confirmou que eu deveria pagar e seria ressarcida quando ele viesse ao Brasil, entrei em contato com o e-mail : mulheresvlj@gmail.com, e fiz a denúncia com todos os detalhes que eu tenho, telefone, endereço, e fotos. Façam o mesmo,porque ele já usou outro nome, deu pra perceber porque ele usou os mesmos textos que enviou pra mim, alguns tirados de um livro sobre conversas pela internet.

Hi, appreciated that the info posted here, i received this person message via FB also and later switched to email for chating for almost 2 mths, and also he said that he is working in Iraq under the UN contract and will be ending the contract soon and will come to visit me and set up his company and settle down his life with me, Firstly he asked me to call this number, and i gave excuses to him, and he do asked for my number also, lucky was i didn't give it to him, he told me that he want to start a relationship with me, and also told me that he was hurt so badly during his last relationship. the worst was he told me that he has told his mom that he is interesting with a girl that is me. Gosh!! what a big liar. Stay away from him!!

I called that number and It's a magic Jake number!!  Anybody around the world can pick up the phone with that number as long as they are connected to the internet.  Someone by the name of Richard Paul has been contacting me thru facebook 3 days ago and gave me that number and I decide to google it.....thank you for posting these information!

Hi,seems like he is using the smae tricks on me BR. He says he will ending his contract soon. The number i called normally has got no one answer goes to voicemail.

I saw the above conversation you all talking about this guy. I felt this could be someone else using this person account? this person wrote to me via Facebook msg as well after that we switched to via by email. I received the same number as well in the beginning. He mentioned he will be finished his contract soon in Iraq and wanted to come over here to meet me in my country. After a month of emails correspondence with him I gave him my contact and i even spoke to him personally and had this incident happened just yesterday when i was in the airport waiting for him to arrive. But he didn't turn up, he called me up said he was obtain by the custom in... wanted me to transfer some money so he could be released by the custom. The reason he was obstain was he carried a large sum of money with him. I got curious and i realised the way he spoke was different from the beginning i had spoken with him was American tone, at the airport when he called he sounded abit middle east tone? well anyway pls if this happened with you pls do not transfer any money to the given account by custom. it's a scam.

I have just received the same number and sayingthat he is also from Iraq working. and the number is a US number. its really weird... saying that he is working for the UN.....

I called the number, its a guy from iraq in the us.. The guy sounded very middle eastern.

Iam a danish girl who was also contacted via facebook by this guy with exactly same number. Suspicious text - almost begging me for staying in contact. But something is wrong with the spelling, even if he say he is an American working in Iraq.

Did you call him? I didnt...suspected it was a romance fraud/scam.  I dont even think the picture was him either.  Most of these frauds originated from africa...I notice some of his spellings in his emails using french or the likes used in Nigeria...that's how I became suspicious.  Soonest I started asking abt his family details he stopped writing.

This guy gave me this phone number and claimed that he is at Baghdad, Iraq now.  I am curious because I know the +1 is a country code for USA.
