This guy try to screw me over with a $35000 camera eventhru paypal don'tbelieve anything that comes from this guy..

Same story here.  Started today from a CL post for a phone.  Clearly a text 411 scam about 3 words into the second set of texts.  Classic features - buying for someone else, money sent, check junk mail, hurry hurry hurry, Why are you delaying?, I am calling the police on you).  

I am trolling him all day, and laughing myself silly over the insanity that I have been sending him.  I cherish when I run into 411 scammers... just knowing that my silly and needy texts/emails are keeping them away from some poor sucker some place.  I hate the injustice of it, yet my heart breaks for the scammers doing this work to make a living.  

Seriously... guys like this who are good at English and sharp with technology move up to this behavior from lightweight 411 email scams.  He/she is no lightweight and clearly has a US relationship working with him. Also, this cat is way more forceful/assertive than the hundreds of gradeschool 411 scammers that I have trolled in the past 6 years.  And his Paypal phish emails are pretty sharp too.  Solid design. Minimal language blunders. Solid timing between phish email and texts.  This costs money and requires someone very fluent with American English. He is clearly making money.  Lots of it.  

Also... my guess, he reads this thread every once and again to check his phone number.  If he is this sharp with text, Paypal, and uses a pretty sound story... be also known how to google his own phone number.

Getting the same texts from 646 397 6508 and other ones wanting to purchase Iphones etc. They send you a fake email that looks like paypal or interact but you have to ship the product first then you get the money.

Well if you ship the product you will never get the money because there is no escrow with paypal or E-transfer. Dont get scammed.

He contacted me on kijiji looking to purchase my laptop but wanted it shipped to West Africa. He sent the text in the middle of the night and he also has several other numbers he uses his scams for. The other numbers he used with me were, 1-646-397-6508, 1-661-724-6031, 1-646-580-4307 and 1-661-513-3285

Posted an ad on Kijiji for a lens and dude texted me at 3:30 am in the morning. Immediately I was suspicious.

Same story as the ones posted here, has a partner traveling aboard and is located in Nigeria.

Offered a price and offered 150 for shipping but it had to be through Paypal.

I checked the number on google and this site came up.

scammer. was about to send him my shoes and do paypal. but once i asked him were was his location and he said nigeria i knew it was a scam. and i was selling shoes but acted like i had phones and asked him how many he wanted and he told me and that's when i comfirmed with him that had no phones and was selling shoes.

I had camera equipment posted for sale on Craig's List. He sent several texts trying to see if I had a Pay Pal account and wanted me to ship item to him. Told him to call instead of text. He called once, he had a very heavy accent and was very hard to understand. It became obvious it was a scam.

I almost lost a 1200 laptop to this jerk.  I have never used paypal before and thank goodness I called paypal when I received a "confirmation" by email that he had sent the money and I need to send a tracking number to paypal after I shipped my laptop.

He has tried to buy multiple items from me on craigslist with excuse he is shipping abroad to a partner.  Reported his Paypal receipt and was informed it was a phishing email.
