These people just called me and said I needed an atourney??? I hung up in them they called back saying that they were sending police over to arrest me?!?!?

Received a phone call this afternoon from 347-960-9999!  He asked for my boss by first and last name.  When I told him my boss was not available, he replied "THAT SUCKS!  Is there someone else there that handles your merchant account I can talk to?"  I was so surprised by such an unprofessional remark that I asked him to repeat what he had said again.  At first, he did not repeat the first part, but when I pressed, he actually repeated "THAT SUCKS" again!  I told him I did not wish to speak with him and not to call back.  Unbelievable how rude and unprofessional some people in the business world have become!!!

Again today. Every.Single.Day. Hate them hate them hate them.

2 calls in 2 days as business solicitation. very annoying and will not respond to request to remove number from list

OMG. This number has called twice since I posted a while ago, hanging up on our voice mail each time. I detest telemarketers with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.

This number calls our office, but there's never anyone there, just silence. I wonder if it's one of those things that verify live numbers so a telemarketer can call back live later.

Called when I answered they hung up but you could hear talking in the background. I should have known when the caller ID has only 3 letters don't even bother answering.

This is one of those numbers that if you call back you can end up with a charge on your phone.

This number calls everyday and some days several times.  I have never answered.

They called, no one on the line when I answered. 5th such call today.

Very rude girl called about Credit card processing. We informed her that we were not interested. She called again and said we had to listen to her pitch. Called me an A*&HOLE. Have tried to call them but get busy signal. Reporting to FCC as nuisance caller.

No one was on the other line when I answered.

I own an electrical contracting company and am up to about 15 # that I've had to block. People out there wanna scam the money I work hard for. I assume they only call business, looking for easy scores

347-960-9999 is Merchant Services aka Business Credit. They are a SCAM Credit Card processing company. They violate the Federal Do Not Call list everyday, yet for some reason they are allowed to stay in business. They call my home, my cell, and my business phone lines no less than once a week or more. I report each call to the FCC.gov website, and I block each of their numbers. It does no good, as they then call from a different number. This scammer company has dozens of different company names that they use, along with dozens of phone numbers that they will call you from. I'm at the point now that I won't even bother to report them to the FCC.gov website any longer as it does NO good, as they keep getting new phone numbers and keep making the same illegal telemarketing calls. Now when I see their number on Caller ID, or the second I hear Merchant Services, I simply hang up on them.

Calls non stop and when you call it back to get removed from their call list you get a recording that says the number you called is not in service.

I dug out my old fax machine so now calls like these can tell it to the squeal of the fax trying to talk to their fax.  Eventually, their dialer will remove my number from their call list.  I WIN!

Repeated calls daily - but never any reply once I say hello.

Wise up people -- it must be true that America has way too many guiilable, dumb, or stupid people, or people who just do not care. The telemarketers know this and they are reaping income from these ignorant people. Of course, the most of us who hate telemarketers are the ones who suffer daily with this illegal activity.  You cannot do anything about spammers and telemarketers calling you and they all know it --- and the government is useless and will not do anything to stop these continual law-breaking calls. The do not call list is useless, I get 10 - 12 telemarketer calls daily, many more since renewing my phone numbers on the do not call list. Where do you think that the telemarketers get the good numbers to call? Like YOUR number?  Robo calls just go down numbers automatically, in numerical order, with no regard as to whose number it is or if the number the robo is calling is on any do not call list.  But other telemarketers, mainly those who have a live person on the other end waiting for you to answer, these telemarketers get your number FROM THE DO NOT CALL LIST, OF COURSE!  Telemarketers are provided the Do Not Call Lists and are supposed to remove these numbers from their database. But the telemarketers know that the numbers on the Do Not Call List are all good numbers and the telemarketers also know that nothing will be done to them for calling all of the Do Not Call List numbers, so they persist. The phone companies will do nothing to stop the telemarketers either --- it is big revenue for the phone companies.  The phone companies are just as much at fault for this mess as is the FCC and the telemarketers themselves.  And everybody knows that Congress is totally useless at anything. Reporting a telemarketer call number to the FCC will not accomplish anything either, the FCC will just ignore you. There is nothing that you can do to stop any of these illegal and annoying calls except to utilize your own devices and methods, and this is not much. But you do not have to fall into the telemarketer's net. Whenever I get a call that I do not recognize the calling number or name (if displayed) in my caller ID, what I do is to quickly push the talk button on the phone then immediately push the OFF button to cut them off.  DO NOT ANSWER your phone with a hello, you are just confirming that the telemarketer has reached a good number. Just press talk then press off quickly. The telemarketer will be charged for the call, and all you will be out will be the time it takes you to push talk then quickly push off, albeit the call is still annoying --- or if you do not have one of those phones, pickup the receiver then quickly press the hang up button.  If you do not have caller ID, well, you are out of luck, you will have no idea who is calling, and the more calls you answer from these bums, the more calls that you will be getting. Blocking calls does not work well either because these telemarketers change and spoof their numbers and names often. Many of the telemarketers use local numbers that have been disconnected as if that disconnected number were their own.  Whatever you do, DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK, because, again, you are just confirming that the telemarketer reached a good number and your phone number will be added to the telemarketer's list as being good and they will then persist in calling you often. If you do answer and ask them to remove you because you are on the do not call list, they will become rude and scoff at you and call you more often. If you fall for the number press game when answering a telemarketer automatic call, for example when instructed to press 1 for service, press 2 to disconnect, or press 3 to be removed from their call list, you are again confirming to them that your number is a good number and that you will answer the phone.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK -- if you do call them back, this could constitute that YOU ARE ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM, and a business relationship with the telemarketer caller exempts the telemarketer from the do not call list rules and it makes any subsequent calls to you from that telemarketer totally legal. Additionally, telemarketers sell and trade good phone lists often with other
telemarketers, so once you get on one telemarketer database list, you will soon be on many lists. So, just push TALK, then quickly push OFF, and be pleased with yourself that you have cut off an illegal call. This process treats the call as if
they have reached a disconnected or blocked number, and on some automatic caller databases, if you are lucky, your number may be removed from that list as being no good.  QUICKLY DISCONNECTING A TELEMARKETER CALL, It is the
very best that you can do. Just think, if everybody did this, the telemarketers would never sell anything, right? And the telemarketers might just go out of business!

I kept saying hello...never got a response

she was rude.  but i gave her hell and she slammed the phone down on me in the middle of my sentence.

Got a call from them. After a delay and what sounded like a busy boiler-room call center they said I asked if I was accepting credit cards. I said we do, and they said I was 'not complient' and would be charged $25> I asked who they were and they said National Merchant Services. I use no such company and they certainly have nothing to do with credit card compliance. I hung up after saying as much.

calls almost every day, says nothing and i am unable to call them back

calls DAILY.  Refuses to remove from list.  Insults when I don't bother to talk to them.  Remind them every time it is a personal cell phone number they are calling.  Every one claims 'I've never called this number before' like my recent calls list is lying.  RUDE.

They always call and dont leave a message. Getting really annoying!!! Caller ID said New York.
