I believe this is connected to the online Publishers Clearing House. If you signed up with them to enter their contests, that is how these fraudsters got some of your info. PCH has a bunch of different contests for prizes of 250 and $1000 .... coincidence that these fraudsters are using these amounts? Coincidence that these fraudsters quickly claim to be some Publishing company? Perhaps PCH doesn't know that some low lifes are using them to do this pretending to be an affiliate running contests under the PCH umbrella.

The people who run this website should add " Scammer/Fraudster" to their 'Call Type' part of the form.

352-684-3175  Thanks for posting.  Apparently, they're still operating, I'm getting calls logged from this number about twice a day on my land line.  I won't answer them.

I have been geting calls all week from mrj construction and nature coast pu. I haven't answered any of these call but was going to tonight and they hung up after two ring. I found this sight and wanted to add a different number,the number that shows on my caller ID is 352-688-3853

i got the call i sadly agreed to the magazine order. when the manager guy called later and asked about the call earlier, i told him i decided to cancel the order. he tried to drown that out and continued but i told him to stop. then he hung up on me and wont call back. was he just trying to get my  credit card number then? thats what it sounds like from most peoples stories. if thats it then im relieved cause i didnt give it to him.

I got a call yesterday from 352-688-3760 and one today from 352-688-1718.  I did a reverse call look-up and these are from MJR Construction.  Both calls were to my cell number.  I haven't answered either call because I don't recognize the numbers.  Think I'll try to contact the Better Business Bureau in that area and see if anything can be done.

My wife received a call from MJR Construction tonight. The number is different (352) 688-3122. I did a reverse lookup and  got these names/address on this number. Seems like a definate scam to me. Trying to get your credit card info. When you don't go along with the caller, he gets RUDE!

I received 2 calls from MRJ construction today from phone # 352-684-1826

I keep getting phone calls from 352-684-1264,352-684-1201,352-684-1281
and 352-684-1280. These numbers all start with 352-684 and the last #'s
are different. I've been told some of these #'s are linked to
MRJ CONSTRUCTION!

I get a different number then the one some of you have mentioned, but it comes up as MRJ Construction on my caller ID.  When I answer it, I get dead air and then it hangs up on me.  I have yet to have anyone actually say anything to me when I've answered.  

I came on here to see what the company was and found all of you.  Here I thought maybe it was my X husband trying to bug me again, but I don't think he would bug all of you as well.  LOL

Now I know not to bother answering it.

A lady named Ruby called from 352 684 1264, she was very nice. Same story, cert for $1000 for internet purposes, mag's at $3.95 per week, etc. Then a Nathan from 352 684 1795 called. Wanted my visa #, told him no and he hung up. I called him back, he cont to tell me off and hung up.

I have been receiving calls from these 2 numbers. They have called me all week and I have not answered the call once. I looked on the internet and found these post so I am not going to answer. They are using new numbers... see above and different company names. Please do not answer calls from any (352)684 or 688 XXXX unless they are related to your business.

I was checking the caller ID on my phone to see who'd call since we don't answer most calls. I see mrj construction, so I keep scrolling until I see it again. This number appeared yesterday also, so I'm thinking who is this calling? Is this a job offer? Then why no message or why hasn't my wife told me about these calls. I got this feeling that something's not right, so I seached for a web site and came across this site. I'm relieved now that I know, but something has to be done! WHAT????

This was a woman (clearly in a busy call center as I could hear voices in the background) asking for me saying they were from "publisher services". I've also gotten calls (which I didn't answer) from 352-683-7844. Just don't bother picking up.

I received a call today from mrj construction. I normally don't pick up these numbers but I did. on the other line there was a women by the name of Kathy she said that through my credit card company that I would receive a $1000.00 shopping spree and I would receive 5 magazines of my choice for 3.33 or something like that per week. For some stupid reason I said okay. I gave her my info name address etc. Then I received a call from a guy asking to rate Kathy's service. He than went into my account and asked me if I would be paying by visa or mastercard. I asked him to bill me and I would send a check. He stated that I could do that after I made my first payment on my credit card. I told him that I could not do that. He got angry and then told me that he was sorry and would have to send me to collections. Please to all of you out there do not pick up the phone to these jerks. Thanks and Goodluck!!!!

352 688 6729 - We received a call from this number and it appeared to be a scam also. They are polite and they ask if the previous person to call you was also polite on the phone. We didn't get as far as them asking for our credit card #, but they said my wife ordered 12$ worth of something, which she did not.

Be Aware. Immediately say you aren't interested and ask to stop calling.

I just received a call from this number and they hung up after the 2nd ring.  I called it back and it was busy.  I also keep getting numbers that are "unavailable".  It is extremely annoying...they keep calling me on my cell!!!

I have been getting calls for the past few days from this number 352-684-2637 as well as 352-688-6729, and my caller id identifies the call as MRJ construction. I usually avoid unknown numbers, but yesterday I got so tired of them calling, so I answered. A sweet girl who referred to herself as Elizabeth was on the other end, and she claimed that my name was selected for preferred credit status and I was selected to receive a $1,000 shopping spree on the internet. All I had to do was pay $3.83/week for my choice of any three magazine subscriptions. Normally I would have said no, but this time I said sure, then asked her how they would bill me. AT this point she said she was new and wasn't sure, but she thinks billing would be monthly. Never did she ask for any credit card info. or tell me that she will be needing any. Later that night I received a call from a private number. My husband answered the phone and the man on the other line referred to himself as Frank. When I got on the phone with him, he began commenting on my convo. with Elizabeth earlier, and asked if she was polite to me. I said yes, then he went on to ask me which credit card I will be using to pay. At that point, I was extremely alarmed. I told him my Visa, then he wanted the number. I then told him that I didn't feel comfortable giving my number over the phone, and would be more than happy to mail in my payment. He procedded to tell me that it was 100% safe, etc. I stopped him again and refused to give my number, then he became very angry and rude. I told him I wanted to cancel the magazines, and he claimed that I couldn't. He also threatened me by saying that if I didn't pay, then my credit score would suffer. I figured it was a scam at that point. I was so angry and asked him for his name and the company he claims to work for. He claimed to be Nathan Cook, and the company name he gave was Publisher Services. I proceeded to ask him who Frank is?? Reminding him that he introduced himself as Frank to my husband who answered the phone. Then he didn't say much as he knew that he was probably caught. I really hope this helps. This experience really raised my awareness. It's scary how these people get your information.

I have been getting calls for weeks from this number (352-684-2637) and every time I answer I hear a dial tone and noone ever leaves a message on my machine, so today I tried looking the number up online (reverse phone look up) and all it told me was that it was a landline... I am still dumbfounded about it, but after reading these other notes on here I realize it has to be a scammer or telemarketer for some reason, but it doesn't make sense because I have yet to talk with someone calling from this number... (MRJ Construction it says on the caller ID) I had also called the number back several times (busy at times-and other times just rang and rang with no answer) so when you see a number like this just try and block it if you can or just don't answer it because they could be trying to verify whether your number is a valid one and then sell your number to other companies for telemarketing purposes... hope this helps!

Got this call twice today.  First time I didn't answer as I was busy.  Second time I answered because it came up as MRJ Construction .  Thought hubby may have called someone about something so I answered it. A woman informed me I had won an online special - $1000 for spending anyway I wanted online.  I would also receive 3 magazines of my choice and 2 of their choice for JUST $3.83 per week for 60 months.  She made it seem so easy.  Just think - $1000 to spend any way you want!  Well, I did the math while she was going on about the magazines I could get.  $3.83 a week for 52 weeks = $199.16 times 5 years (60 months)= $995.80.  But she kept arguing that I would be getting these 5 great magazines plus having $1000 to spend as I wished.  It took a bit of voice raising to finally get it across to her that I did not want her "special offer".
