We're on the DNC.
Girl said:
- "This is not a sales call"
- I'm calling "with good news" to let you know of a circular with coupons that will be in the local paper.
- "Just wanted to confirm your address". ?!

I got many calls from this company in March...then they stopped for a bit. Now I am getting the same calls from a different number which is 360-230-1687.
Same message as before....about service verification and they will call back.

Thanks to previous posters for reporting detailed information. I was getting tired of these calls. Actually texted them to leave a voice mail if they wanted any further contact. So far no voice mail or replying text received.

I am so sick of this number calling my home over and over and over again. Day after day. How do you make them stop? Please help!!!!

If you call it back, they want you to type in your telephone number to verify that you want to be taken off their call list. I suppose then they know for sure it's a valid number they can harrass...

Reporting regular phone calls from 360-230-1645. Random times, never leave a message.
el paso 2010-02-26 18:21:05 Unknown
I get several calls from this number at my office. The calls come in after hours (always around 7 pm)with the automated message "this is a service verification." You'd think they would give up after 2 months of no answer. I'll start keeping their number in my voice mail folder for verification of unsoliticited calls.
I am on the no call list and have been getting a variety of telemarketing calls at my house for the past several months from other companies. What's up with that?
katie 2010-02-26 17:28:33 Unknown
WHAT do they want? I an on the DNC list too -- I also won't answer any calls with numbers that I don't recognize. Several calls the last couple of weeks. This one Mount Vernon WA, the others Ver A Fast...GEEZ.....leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day after day.... now 8am on a Saturday. I don't answer any unidentified call and like most of you, I'm on the DNC list. I'm filing a report with the Attorney General.

Verafast.. "Are you satisfied with your StarTribune delivery service?... Blah blah blah... I hung up.

One call per day for a few days. Wish I had the guts to do what someone I read about did to perp calls. When a perp called, the victim picked up then whispered. This caused the perp caller to increase attention or up the volume control. Then, the victim blew an Acme Thunderer, a very high volume whistle into the phone. Zero chance the perp will report the event.

just called, said they would call back.. We are on the no-call list also. I want to get these people, too many calling these days and it is harrassment.
ling 2010-02-02 01:06:17 Unknown
I get these calls approximately twice a day. "this is a verification service call". I don't answer it.
Tlg 2010-02-01 19:38:28 Unknown
Calls 2 to 3 times leaving a message " This is a verification call, we will call you back." and nothing else.
everyday day over and over. Please do something!!!!!!
tg 2010-01-29 15:07:55 Unknown
calls twice every day at around 9:30 AM & 6:45 PM for about the past 10 days. I don't answer & they leave no message.
treman97 2010-01-28 00:49:32 Unknown
i provided confirmation of my name address and zip code for their free add package promotion, later thought they might have been needing my zip code, as this is all you need for charge varification by the gas pumps, if they knew my credit card numder via (covert swipe @ any fastfood drive thru.) now i worry about frequent high usage by cyber thieves. ???
bert 2010-01-26 16:32:38 Unknown
Several calls per day. I won't answer.
GO 2010-01-25 05:59:06 Unknown
Got calls from this number for four consecutive days. I didn't answer the calls as I dont know anyone from WA.
DM 2010-01-20 23:05:38 Unknown
Don't erase the calls from your Caller-ID unit. You may need the dates and times of the calls for documentation.
Contact your state Attorney General's Office or some federal office of "telephone harrassment". I've done it with other cases.
These criminals must be stopped.
(My approach was a bit different in this case. What I said to the girl from Verafast was so awful that she probably quit the same day. It's too bad. The innocent take the brunt of our wrath. But if we all do this, it will cause a high turnover of personnel, and they won't be able to retain any competent and experienced staff. They'll have to turn to the dregs of society to fill these jobs, which won't work, and the whole criminal operation will slowly grind to a halt.)
Leigh 2010-01-20 18:27:39 Unknown
This number has called twice in the last two days. I didn't answer it and don't intend to. I'm also on the Do Not Call List so I'm peeved that they are free to call whenever they want.
DM 2010-01-20 07:08:03 Unknown
I zinged 'em.
Finally decided to answer the phone after weeks of calls.
Yelled into the phone, "xxxx xxx!!"
Girl said "Hello?"
I replied "Don't call me again, you xxxxxx xxxx", and hung up.
Yes, I was viscious - and I had every right to be: They're criminals.
We'll see how it goes.
If it continues, I'm contacting the state Attorney General. I've done it before...
But I like my "quick and direct" method better.
DM 2010-01-19 20:20:13 Unknown
Verafast = jerks and criminals.
There's no need to verify anything.
On the next call, I will be sending 10,000 volts down the phone line to verify that their phone is connected, then go to their homes (for those still alive) and wash their outside windows at 2:00AM - just to verify that their windows are clean, then walk into their bedrooms to verify that they're asleep and getting their full 8 hours of sleep.... It's my free Phone Line, Window, and Sleep verification service.
Paul@Brandon 2010-01-18 23:15:19 Unknown
Received an automated call on 1/18/2010 @ about 18:05 local (Florida) time. Did not answer the call, a message was left on the answering machine: "This is a service verification, we will call you back later."
Spikessong 2010-01-15 17:55:04 Unknown
They left the number and nothing else. I am also on the Do Not Call List.
cb 2010-01-15 15:45:40 Unknown
We're on the DNC, but that doesn't seem to be a deterrent.
Fragments of her spiel:
- "This is not a sales call"
- I'm calling "with good news" to let you know of a circular with coupons that will be in the local paper.
- "Just wanted to confirm your address". ?!
There's obviously no need to confirm an address if something will be in the newspaper. Obviously there is another agenda in play.
