I get about 12 of these calls a week. It is incredibly annoying and distracting, taking me away from my work or interrupting much-needed sleep. Like the others, I simply cannot understand why these people cannot be shut down.

They call all day, various numbers, all offering free wireless home security.... I don't want it or these calls from this number or any other number they have to use!!

Vote against all NRA issues and support all issues against them for all the harassment to you by these hang up dial tone calls. Call your representatives about phone cold call hang up calls from companies. Play those annoying noises back every time they call from known cold call phone numbers used to call you!

When you file a worthless DNC complaint they put your new fresh name at the top of the DNC list, which will help those jerks when  these start adding new numbers to those they call. You'll have your fresh new phone number at the very top of their sucker list. DNC complaints from citizens are worthless and ineffective I stopped filing DNC complaints months ago. The answer to our problem is using a hand held tape recorder and then repetively tape (over and over the same sound) the disconnected/out of service tone until you have about two minutes worth to play to these jerks that call us. The sound is the same one telezaper uses. I started using a repeated two minute recording of the same sound as telezapper and my calls have gone from an average of 4-10 calls a day, down to none to one per day, up until today when I wasn't here to answer the call and play them my new tape. It works. Have the tape already going before you answer the phone and continue playing it until they either hang up or you think that the tape is close to the end. If so then you hang up. They won't call back, I've proven it to myself already after just using it a few weeks. Prior to using it I've put up with over two years of these nusinance calls.

I hate getting phone calls at all hours of the day and night. Someone has to put a stop to these idiots.

Just got a call from this number; no name and no message left when they got to my answering machine.

I am sick and tired of getting calls from this damn company!  I decided to press "1" to see what would happen.  Of course it was a damn foreigner that barely spoke English and when I told him I wanted to speak to the manager he claimed he was the manager.  And when I told him I wanted the calls to stop he said, what is your number?  When I asked him what the name of his company is he didn't tell me but kept asking me what is my number.  I screamed at him "you called my damn house so you should know the number!"  We went back and forth a few times until I cursed him out and hung up.  When I called the number back I got that stupid recording to enter my number to have it removed from the list.  Since it is obvious it is not a legitimate company I entered the number to my local FBI office.  I hope they get caught.

Picked one & it rang, it rang it rang it .... ! Finally someone answered: no name given, wanted to have mine ...gave my phone number. After 4 numbers, they hung up on me !

This is their 3rd canned call in as many days ...

They call every single day and never leave a message.  This isn't just a nuisance it's harassment.

This company has called me 7 times this week from different phone numbers.  Each time there's a recorded message stating "Don't hang up!". Then they proceed to try and sell / give you a home security system. They have been calling for months! Each time I have filed complaints with the Do Not Call Registry, and it obviously does nothing. Today I filed a complaint with my state attorney general's office detailing the numbers and times. I encourage all of you to do the same as well... if they get enough complaints there's a possibility they could do something [hopefully].  At this point I consider this harassment.  I'd love to see the people responsible dragged by horses through town.

I think I have finally outsmarted these people.  I turned off my answering machine and turned on my FAX machine.  Now when they call they get an annoying FAX sound in their ears.  I still have time to answer my phone if it's a call I recognize.  Hopefully, this will make a dent in some of these calls.  They cannot scam me if they can't get me on the phone!

This number called this morning and I just let it go to the FAX machine.

also, hubs cell phone (which is his strick business phone) got an international call from somewhere in MOSCOW, RUSSIA tonite.  SCARES ME.

I get these calls all the time. I'M SICK OF THEM, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!  THERE SHOULD BE A LAW AGAINST THIS.  PLEASE STOP CALLING!!!

I get this recorded telemarketing call every few days, from a different 360 number.  I block the number, they call from another one.  I am on the do not call list.  They do it anyway.  What a waste of time.

I get calls from various 360 area code numbers from this same company.  It's been happening for months.  Every few days, another call. It's always a recorded message.  I am on the do not call list, and so is everyone at this house.  I block the number.  Then they call from another number a few days later.  I think I may install a device that screens all calls from that area code.

Caller is a robocall offering a "free" wireless security system.  I've been called by this outfit at least a dozen times.  They ignore the Do Not Call List and continue to harrass people even when asked to stop.  This needs some legal action.

It's Alliance Security (Jay Gotra of VMS Alarms is also associated with Alliance) making calls pitching alarm system installs by calling numbers on the National Do Not Call registry.

Offering free security system.  Nothing in life is free, remember that.  I would not talk to any of these people or give them any information.  If they ask you if you have a security system and you tell them no, your taking a risk of getting robbed.  Better to block or just don't answer.  It's your phone, your not obligated to answer it.

We have been getting calls several times a day every day now for weeks. I finally used star 69 at a cost to get them supposedly removed from the list. They never leave a number to call back, they just  harass you. There should be away to get these companies fined for everytime they call you and harass you.

If you call them back and follow the instructions given they "say" they will remove your number in 24-72 hours.  We will see, I just returned their call and put in my number.  I am also on the Do NOT call list.  This number calls daily.

I get calls from this company nearly every day.  They begin by saying 'Don't hang up.  This is not a sales call.  The FBI......' at which point I always hang up.  Don't know what comes next.  Finally learned how to block calls, but most of these companies each call from many different numbers.  Saying it isn't a sales call, does it make it NOT a telemarketer.  I believe this one sells security systems.  It is just so disruptive to get 5 or 6 different sales calls durring the day.  I work from home and have to disconnect from my work each time and then reconnect.  I have called the proper department in the Federal Government about this particular caller and several others.  Even though I am on the do-not-call list and also even though the government takes all my information each time, there ultimate answer is; 'there is nothing we can do other than we suggest just hanging up.'.  I am guessing they must not get many of these calls at their homes.  For myself, I am nearly at my wits end.  If you dial the number back you get an automated system that requires you to press many menus and enter your 10-digit number.  I have heard about scams that can allow you phone to be used by others with financial impact upon the phone owner.  They say it will take 72 hours to remove the number.  I have never been willing to input all the digits and numbers they require.

Called and hung up once it reached voicemail. Though it was right after talking to some potential scammer on Craigslist.  Which has been a pattern lately on Craigslist and the numbers come from Washington state area.  And have been Chryslix power company, some property management company, and now this possible home security system sales scam? I'm on Do not call list and reported the last ones as part of a sophisticated email+phone scam and spoofing hack job.

Called at noon. I picked up on error. Nothing but air! No recording, they did not hang up. After I hung up my line stayed connected for nearly 5 minutes! Complaint to be filed to FTC anyway as my number has been on the National DNC list.

I have no idea who this is.  Called me at 10:30am on 8/17/12 edt.  On first ring I answered and got dead air.  No message, no person.  SICK OF THE interference and intrusion.

FTC AND FCC need to get it together and really work like they're supposed to, hello!!!???  NO CALL LIST is a JOKE.

Have posted  complaints with government people and on internet for so long, but it just gets worse.  MOST OF these companies that SLAM you are outsourced in other countries and are being paid for by US companies who are cheapskates.  SICK of it.  WILL show on my vote on 11/6/12.
