Got call from American Law Frim that I was contact # for my daughter she would not return his call had to ask for his name could not make it out his accent was BAD HIS NAME JUSTIN GIBBS CALLED POLICE

Got a call this a.m. Caller ID shows 945-076-30, they also called my father. Guy left a message stating his name was Justin Gibbs (although he had a heavy eastern accent!) from American Law Firm and that they had a claim against me and my ssn was under investigation. He said to have my attorney or myself contact them asap at 281-901-5299. Scared the crap out of me until I saw these other posts and looked into it a little more. I called this guy back to find out exactly what the claim was and it went directly to voicemail. I left a long message saying I had consulted my attorney and upon his advice I was to not provide them with any personal info pending an investigation into their company and the validity of their claim against me. I asked them to mail me documentation proving the claim and to not contact me or my family until that proof was provided. I also said that if we found their claims to be false or misleading we would contact local law enforcement and file a case against them. We'll see if I hear anything back from them. Still unsettling to get a call like that. :(

We did fill out a cash advance loan application online last month but we never followed through with a loan because the fees were so high. Could this be what it's from? I was bombarded with phone calls, emails, and text messages with loan offers the minute we submitted the application, it was out of control! But we never received any money and never agreed to anything.

So I got another call this morning at 7:45am pst, which a voicemail was left  on my cell phone from the 945-076-30 number.
And it was the indian accented guy, John Wilson who stated that:

This is John Wilson from American Law Firm, and I have a Finacial Affidavit against you.And your social security number is under investigation.
I need to talk to you to find out wha you want to do about this case. Are you going to pay the money or should we go ahead and file legal action against you.
Please call me back at 360-326-2385

I have reported these calls to everything and every office possible.
I also contacted 60 mins. WTH I need this to stop before I go postal on these people. I called the 360-326-2385 number back with my number blocked of course and this time a woman answered named Veronica, I hung up. Before when they called I tried to call the number back and it was disconnected.
I have no prior business at all with these people. And im so mad that they are playing wiht my time and my patients.

Im so sick of these calls I have received several calls within thepast 3 days, from 94507630. The numbers being left on my voicemail are 916-395-0000 disconnected and 360-326-2385 also disconnected.
The indian accented man name John Wilson keeps called and will not give any information as to where the financial affidavit is from or anything about a supposed case. He just laughs.
I have reported the calls to Consumer Affairs, BBB, Local Police. My phone provider, FBI etc etc.
No one will do anything or can do anything because this is not a valid company or phone number.
ugh flustrating.

This guy keeps calling and asking for my co-worker, a new name that you guys haven't heard yet, his name was "Mike Anderson" another very common name to come up with randomly when asked.  Was pretty rude and asked that I tell my co-worker to call him back regarding a legal matter immediately.  Good thing for google, I will instruct my co worker to not call him back and probably have him report this.

WoW so yeah they called again today and i so busted them. if you talk with them and use some trick on them and ask where they are calling from they will tell they are so dumb.. hahahaha he admitted to calling from Afganistan and he say yeah we like missing with you american people so he laughs and say have a good day and drink some beer okay and have a good life. WoW!!! And we are not safe living here in the United States of America.... Yeah try and and get info out of them and yes that is crazy dont be scared of them they dont even have our info. LOL....

THIS IS A SCAM. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

Constantly calling me @ work and my cell phone.....Nigerian or India scam.....If you ever applied for a payday loan they have stole your information to harass you for money.

This guy keeps calling name himself John Wilson common name huh for and Indian accent dude seriously??? Haha Will i guess all our stories are the same. How do we deal with this.??? Its annoying and im tired of it. I keep getting this call all day today. 8*(

Received a call today @ 1:54PM stating the name is Richard Johnson of American Law Firm and that a Financial fraud claimwas filed against my daughter- I have been listed as a reference and will be required to be in court. The message was pre-recorded and the caller has an accient. Strange my other daughter was listed as a reference as well and got the call. When the intended party answered her phone she was met w/ dead silence after saying hello many time and the caller hung up.
I told her not to worry about it and we will report this to the local States Attorneys office- Advised he not to speak with anyone or give any information. I suspect that an online payday advance inquiry she did last year is the one that has release this information. If it's leagl in nature send me a certified piece of mail.....

i just got a voicemail message from that 945-076-30 number, don't know how they got my name... but they told me something to forward the message to my older cousin, some crap that i was in her contact list and that they were handling a case against her... he had this strange foreign accent and i think he said his name was either "Tom" or "Frank"... i'll tell my cousin about the call, but its probably just some scam... scared me at first though, but after i read this post, made me realize my fear was pointless!

I got the same message today a little more scary for me they have my bank information. I am not sure where they got it but they told me that they transfered money into my account on Feb 13th. I worked all day so just now had a chance to check my account no money was transfered in there but definately scary that they have all my bank info guess Ill have to change that and who knows what else going to the police station in the morning. I do however have a subscription to credit report.com so they all let me know whenever  something is going on under my name kind of nice to have!

got a voice mail left (the caller id phone # came up as 945-076-30 ((missing a few digits I think)). Foreign dude from "American Law Firm" was handling the case against me, that I would receive a phone call within 24 hours of the local court house to get my booking date and that a local sheriff's officer would report to me to serve me with papers..LMAO! on that last part considering I'm married to one...thank's to web sites like this one, I will not return this "attorney"s call...maybe I'll have my husband do it. lol...

Got a voicemail from these crazy people stating they are America Law Firm...how original...said I have a payday advance from US cash advance...which works with over 180 payday advance websites and he could not tell me which one I owe. He said he is taking me to court blah blah blah...told him do what he needs to do..I never have had a payday advance...he argued with me I did...F**king retards...get a real job and start paying some taxes...

This is a previous post.......but just to remind everyone, Dateline wants to hear your stories.......
They are still actively working on this story- recordings, any paper trail, is very helpful.

Also REPORT THIS TO LOCAL POLICE, FBI, SECRET SERVICE, HOMELAND SECURITY......Keep focused and lets stop this.

"American Law Firm" called my brother and told him there was a fraud claim with me. His "name was Richard Johnson" and started yelling at my brother. DONT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT IT'S A SCAM AND REPORT IT!

I received the same type of call and he stated his name was Scott Wilson.  I have been receiving several of these calls and they are becoming annoying.  What can be done about the phone calls and these people?

Recieved threathing calls from this number today, I am thinking of having my number changed and then unpublished.

Received a call from someone with a think indian or middle eastern accent claiming there was a fraud claim against my social security number and that I would need to call them or have my retained attorney call them to settle the dispute. He claimed he was from "American Law Firm". He also said that he would have me arrested and wished me good luck. Did a search on the number, and it said it was a landline in Vancouver, Washington. The FBI issued warnings against the same fraudulent messages saying they were phishing scams and if you encounter them, do not give them any info for any reason, and report them.
