Same story, accent made it difficult to understand him.  I asked for the name of the company three times and could not understand it.  He insisted I listen to him as this was a very big problem for ALL Windows users.  I hung up on him.  I had answered the phone at my parent's house and I am concerned about how much farther he could have gotten with them.

About 20 minutes ago someone called from Vancouver Washington and said that there was a problem with my husband's computer..had an accent. Said that they were calling everyone who used Windows, said they could help with computer and whatever virus. Scam is right and someone, somewhere will indeed fall for this.
How does one go about reporting this?

I got the same call from someone with a heavy Russian accent claiming to be calling on behalf of Microsoft to help me fix a problem with my computer. He said he would just be giving me information and I would not have to go on-line. When he started giving me instructions to go on my computer and go online, I bailed out. He raised his voice with me when I told him I was not going any further with him so I hug up. There must be people who fall for this scam.

I too received this call. Man with a heavy accent claiming he wanted to help me with my computer. I told him there is nothing wrong with my computer. He told me that is because I was not aware yet. I told him that he is a scammer and should be ashamed of himself. He told me he was not scamming. I told him that I didn't believe him and I hung up. Really will these people just stop.

Got a call from him an hour ago. Said that my PC was infected and he could clean it. Told him no thanks and did a phone number lookup and found out it is a cell phone in Vancouver. His name is Jayson Hines and I think it was a scam.

Has called every other day for a week now, this time it was after 9 p.m.  I thought there was some law about calls after 9?  Anyway, he started babbling on about tech support for my computer, same as all the other calls from that number.  Talks with such a thick accent I couldn't understand half of what he was saying.

Got a call from this number an hour ago. I did not answer but they left a voicemail of what sounded like a crowded room. No one actually spoke to my voicemail though.

I also got a call from this number. Said they were a tech and had noticed that Macs and Windows were being hit with viruses and malware. He kindly offered to walk me through checking and removing these problems from my machine. Said it could all be done off line. I still said "no thanks" and hung up. So I guess it's a new number for these scam artist.
I honestly don't remember if he gave a company name or not. I sort of stopped listening when I heard the heavy accent, we get a lot of unsolicited calls. But I did pay attention when he wanted to clean my computer, didn't matter if it was a Mac or Windows OS. Looks like they are also spreading the net wider.
