943 am yesterday no message not able to reACH anyone tworings then busy signal

C'mon, folks. We're all bothered/frustrated/irritated by these calls. 800Notes is a marvelous tool to find out who's calling.......and then do something EFFECTIVE to get 'em to leave us alone.

A post like "No message," or the time you got a call, or where you are, or how much this bothers you, or how smart you are to never answer this kind of call is a waste of time. Your time, and our time. One "no message," or a million "no message" posts here -- same effect; none.

A million complaints to FCC? Very effective.

500 lawsuits? Equally effective. Maybe even more so. Costs you but $25 - $150 dollars, depending on where you are and how you file. Costs them thousands to defend. May put thousands in >YOUR< pocket.

Any call without your permission is, pretty much, illegal. Can put $500 in your pocket, minimum. Maybe 10 or 20 times that amount. Even non-profits and politicians, if you do it right, can be made to pay. It's your phone. They have no rights.

Here's the kicker: You Must Answer Your Phone And Talk To Them. I hate doing that. But, it has put thousands and thousands of dollars in my bank account. You have to know who they are, in order to sue them. We, who read your posts, have to know, as well.

We all get calls we can't answer. The rest of us can't benefit from knowing about your non-answered call.

Today, I was in the middle of a project. My cell phone rang. I never, ever -- not to anyone but family and super close family-like friends -- give out my cell phone number. That means someone I know and like is calling....or a crook is. I looked and hesitated. Number was sorta vaguely familiar, but not exactly. Besides, all of my "real" people who might call are in my list by name; not merely number.

Area Code 360, in Washington State, is similar to an area code many states away. An area code where family and two or three friends live. 1245 is very similar to the number of my son-in-law. So, I answered.

I can't say some of the other posts giving a name for the company are wrong. That may have been what they heard. I recorded the call because I was already taking notes with a recorder, but it would be hard to play back right now.

They did say -- and repeated -- and repeated again, when I asked for clarification: "Pacific Health." When I asked if Pacific Health has a Web site, she said: "That's it. PacificHealth.com." (I THINK SHE WAS LYING!!)  Then, she turned me over to a survey machine which disconnected me.

The Web site she gave has a California number. It does not seem to offer the "health care card" she said they have, which gives large discounts on health related expenses. So, this number will probably be "burned" pretty soon, and they'll go on with their scam using another number.

One clue is so many posts, today alone.

Another is their refusal to give accurate, verifiable information.

A third is that they call, using other illegal or questionable. techniques.
    -- Calling cell phones; prohibited without the recipient's permission.
    -- Pretending to be a survey, when it's clear the "survey" is only to qualify pitch targets, and the purpose of the call is to sell something.

SO: If they've called you, and you didn't bother to, or couldn't, answer; Pick Up, Next Time. Get some more information. Get them to repeat it. Write it down and read it back to them.

Very important to act interested. I guess I didn't act interested enough.

Sorry. I probably won't be given a second chance; I hope you will. Even if you're not given a second chance by these slimeballs, you can do the right thing next time, and get information about another caller.

Pre-recorded advertisement for "Total Healthcare". Eventually tells you to press 9 to be removed from the list

telemarketer for health insurance

answered.  a pre-recorded message from "total healthcare".  hung up as the message began saying "If you're between the ages of..."

Missed call @ 2:53 pm......no message.

I get the same thing..from same number on my cell. Driving me nuts. Must have called me now over a dozen times in 5 days.

keeps calling. Leaves no msg.  Calls from Washington State to Eastern seaboard area

Called but left no voice mail.  Just called back, and got fast busy signal.

Received this call at 12:55PM EST, didn't answer, no message was left. Probably a spam advertisement.

Received this call at 1:58 PM - No one answered when I picked up and when called the number back, it just gave a busy signal beep

Missed a call from 360-460-1245 on my work cell phone.  Called back but got a fast busy tone after 1 ring.

Just received a call 2/28 1:43 pm, couldn't answer since I'm at work, didn't leave a message...I just got this number less than 2 weeks ago...WTH!!!

got a call 12:51pm, didnt answer, no message. I believe that it is a college in washington.....not sure which one though
