Received a call.

I'm the CFO of the Stokes Lawrence law firm in Seattle.  We have received a few calls in the past couple of days asking if we're actually behind these phone calls.  I called "Mike Andrews" at 360-526-0402 and he quickly hung up when I told him who I was.  I can assure you that we have nothing to do with these calls.

Received another call form this number again yesterday afternoon at my home.  Same voice but giving a different name.  Like that voice cant be recognized.  I have taped all my calls left on my machine and will be alerting the Washington State Dept. of Consumer Affairs.  I have already notified the FCC.
I urge everyone to do the same.

i live in minnesota i got a call today from these two indian people from this number saying i have 3 charges of criminal fraud against me for a payday loan that i have never had they said that the pay day loan company put money into a account now card that i do not have and the company tryed to take the money back and i supposivly took the money out before they could take it back they said they are coming to my employer or house to hand me papers i asked information about there "law office" and they wouldnt tell me i am scared bc i live alone with my son and i dont need strange ppl showing up if they even would

If you check the county court records the case number they gave you was a total fake.  They are full of it.  Don't beleive them or trust them.  They are propably in Blize somewhere.  Last I heared they were in Pen. But they could be anywhere.  They pull this scam on thousands of people a day so there is no way to really tell.  Report the case and number to the Federal Trade Commmison as they are the ones who handle this kind of faud.  The more people that report and file claims the easier it will be to catch them  These people are hackers and got into the system of Slient Cash Loans and another loan referal program on the internet.  If you applied for a payday loan using a third party referal system they might have some of your information, name address or last four but not all.  They used the information to scare people into getting money from them.

My state attorney's office in Florida advised me to change my account number because they are goign to try to get into the account. Don't give these people any information.  They are somewhere in a coffee shop in Pen.  The FTC has not been able to norrow them down.  You can call your state's attorney's office to find out if the company that they say they represent is a registered payday lender.  But don't give them any of your information or confirm anything that they say.  If they ask if this is your address or phone or last four tell them "you are the one suing me so I don't have to tell you crap... " This what I did.  They did nt stop calling yet.  They just keep using other numbers.  But they have not been able to get into my account thank God

They will try to get information from you by claiming they know more than they really do know.  They somehow got your last four but they do not know the whole number.  Don't confirm anything.  Don't even agure with them.  Just ask them there name and tell them you are going to report them.  Look if they are lawyers I am a federal judge (well I play one on TV)...LOL

I just got a call from this person.  Claiming to be the law firm of Stock Lawernce.  No such thing this is a complete faud did not give any information to these people

alert a 3 credit bureaus put alerts on ypur credit.icalled the federal trade commision to file a complaint.really helpful people.she asked right away if they spoke with an accent.the washington address is just a front they are out of the country and hacked into the national payday loan companies meaning all and sending out fake emails and all you need to do is just open the email and they have all your info dont even have to fill out an application so delete.extortion scam..she said they may still call and i can say whatever comes to heart..i'm gonna have fun with that!!goodluck

I just received another set of calls of this type from 347-753-8026.
gave me the address they are located at as 100 Church Street NYC.
Even went so far as givingin me a case number.

I just received 4 calls back to back from these fraud ppl.............telling me that I was goin to jail for fraud and writing fruadulant check, I called Galaxy Marketing directly since they say that is who they were calling on behalf of and was told to try to get as much information as possible from them and to turn them into the Attorney Genera......................just an FYI a couple of the phone numbers that they were calling from 916-395-0000, 052-614-048, I did also try to call the 916 number back and got a message stting this phone is no longer in serv.

yes! ive been getting the same phone calls saying they have 3 counts of fraud on me.they said it was a quickpay loan in the amount of $3,000.00 and that i needed to pay,if i didnt it would go to trial and if i lost i could pay $5,000 to $6,000.00.he said the money was deposited in a acoount i have.he did give me the right bank name but a fudged acct #..i gave him my attorneys phone# he said he called and left message and my attorney had no such call.so now after over a week of 2 to 3 phone calls a day from this a** i alerted the three credit bureaus,state consumer protection agency,deparment of financial institute,now i'm about to try the fcc now that ive been here..names of people to look out for...chris jones..melvin samuel and sandra brown saying they are from lawerence lawfirm out of Seattle Washington..and yes they also had the last four of my ssn#...

Yes! They quoted the last 4 of my SSN also.

Just received two back to back calls from this number! stated the same thing regarding. Scary thing is that they qouted last 4 digits of SSN! I am so sick of scammers, like we don't have enough on our plate without having to do with these losers.

I received a similar call from this number regarding an unpaid Payday loan for $350.00.
The message was left by Melvin Samuels, threatening all the same accusations as above.
When I called back I was told I needed to speak to Chris Jones.  A person claiming to be Chris Jones came on and threatened  fraud, federal prosecution and incarceration for an unpaid loan from Payday loans.  He refused to give the loan company name only stating he represented Payday Loans which is an umbrella for 3000  loan companies.  He also refused to give date of deposit, law firm name etc etc.
I did a reverse lookup of the number and could only find it was from Whatcom County Washington.  
I cannot find an attorney listed under the name Chris/Christopher Jones in Washington State.
I am going to use Jackie's advice above and report the number.

I've receiving calls from a short code # 526-140-49 claiming to be from the cyber crime unit advised the not to call me anymore if I had legal issue local law enforcement would have notified me. He called back left the 360-526-0402 # for me return all call to. I work for a major wireless phone company this is what we call spoofing or phishing where someone is using a fake # to call you on and obtain personal information. YOU CAN REPORT THEM using the 10 digit # they gave you @ FCC.gov/cgb/complaints.HTML

Chris Jones (no way due to accent) called talking Fraud, Federal charges for Payday loan of between $300-$400 with charges $530 due made in March 2011. He called several times April 7.Caller: Law Firm ?
