Am in Toronto - long distance call from Washington State - recorded msg. Dial 1 to save on your credit card rates. Blocked the number.

Got a call from this number.  Erica wanted to let me know that I should not be alarmed, but it was about my credit card services, visa ,master card, american express. I hung up.  My mistake was answering the callat all, because it was a number I did not recognise.  Please, people, if you do not recognise the number, do not answer it. Too many scams and crooks, it seems, are out there.

I get calls ALL THE TIME from these guys.

I finally called back, it's an automated service (not surprised). However, they do offer you to be placed on the DO NOT CALL list by pressing 1, which I did.

They advise it can take up to 72 hrs to remove your # from their system. We'll see what happens.

I got a call from these scammers regarding credit card services. I hung up and blocked their number.

Just got a call from them, recorded msg about MY credit card. Shouldn't have answered. Blocking it now.

Thank you for looking into this, these people have called my number at least once a week for months. I got a call yesterday and deliberately stayed on the line to speak to an "agent" who called himself Mitch. I asked him how I would go about getting off their call list, gave him a bit of an earful. He hung up.

This number is a landline from Seattle, Washington.  Of course it's a scam:  "Credit Card Services" calling to lure people into buying lower rate credit cards (yeah, huge stinking load of bull).  

Did some research on the number, turns out the carrier is " FOCAL COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION OF WASHINGTON" and (wouldn't you know it) this company declared bankruptcy in 2003.  Isn't it interesting that they provide telephone service for illegal scammers?  Crooks assisting crooks.  Hmmm...wonder how much their kickback is?  Also wonder if both these 'entities' are one in the same...?  

Please, PLEASE, kind and intelligent people of the United States, file complaints with your FTC.  Flood the FTC with complaints, because these scammers are getting away with duping people out of millions.  The border between our countries prevents us in Canada from doing anything, but it sure doesn't prevent these scammers from committing their crimes here, and unfortunately the bad apples in your barrel are making the whole lot seem rotten.

This people call me at least once a week, for months now. I tried pushing # 2 to get erased from their list (like it says) and I also pushed #1 to speak to an agent and when I told her I wanted to get erased she hang up before I even finish my sentence. Most of the time I don't even pick up, some others I pick up and hang up right away to stop the phone from keep on ringing before it wakes the baby up.

They called my office in Ontario Canada.  Like others, I got the friendly automated voice of Erika.  she told me to dial 1 if I wanted to speak to a live agent.

A man's voice came on asking if I dialed 1 to lower my interest rates.  I told him no, I dialed 1 to speak to a live agent.  He hung up!

I got a call from this # earlier today, I didn't get to the phone in time and ofcourse they didn't leave a message (glad now I didn't answer). My caller ID showed the name Robert Edwards 360.722.5908.

this is a credit card phishing scam, report them to RCMP Phonebusters line. ALSO I IMPLORE YOU - NEVER, NEVER PRESS ANY OF THE DIALING OPTIONS - OFTEN THIS INITIATES A COMPUTER PROGRAM OR A BILLING CHARGE! JUST HANG UP, OR BETTER YET - BLAST AN AIR HORN IN THE PHONE....THEY REALLY DON'T LIKE THAT! :)

Mine as an automated voice asking if our company wanted to update our info on some Google assit thing. Couldn't understand what exactly was said since the recording was screwed up. I pressed 2 to not be listed.

Got an automated phone call at my place of business. Identified themselves as "Google 411 Directory" and wanted us to give business info. to be displayed by them.

Said that banks offer them different rates due to their different programs.
Also said that i didn't have to give any information out, just tell them that I wanted to be enrolled.
They were going to send out documents for me to sign and return. Also mentioned to close my credit card accounts to not to get more debt accumulated.

Their phone was an internet computer phone with a bad connection.  then I was suspicious.
I asked for the name, and the man said that their company name is "Debt free lifestyle today"
started to laugh because I wasn't up for his scam.

I axed them to remove my name from their list. He said I would have to give them my credit card number, date of birf and my social security number. I gave them the information.
He called back ten minutes later and said he needed my PIN and any other credit cards I owned.
These people must think I am stoopid just because I have a negrodialect.

RECD CALL AT WORK...ON 3/26/10 AT 1:29 PM. RECORDING ABOUT BECOMING DEBT FREE. I HAVE NO CREDIT CARDS OR CREDIT ACCOUNTS. AND THEY ARE CALLING A BUSINESS NUMBER. I HIT "2" TO BE REMOVED FROM FUTURE CALLS.

I do not appreciate these phone calls to my work phone number -- if I wanted a lower rate I'd go find it myself.
