Now I get the real company, there real number, and waste a real person's time.

Heck on one that is " in my area this week",
I met at my favorite diner/coffee shop. Killed half an hour enjoying my morning coffee, giving random questions that sound legit. Get his card, and ask for the company making calls for him... " I've hot a dozen calls recorded with the same recording " "get me the info, or I'll complain to the attorney general. "   "Thousands in fines, and I think I recently heard of a million dollar settlement.... what do you think?"

Don't know what this number is. They do not leave messages, so I know it's not anyone I know.

I have been getting calls multiple times a day for over three weeks now.  When I called the number back there was some recording that saying to give my number.

I just received a call from this number. I answered and the call was immediately hung up.

Called me five times this week - whether I answer or send to voicemail the same recording comes up - "this is a service provider we will try back later" contacting AT&T to try and block number.

I AM GETTING AT LEAST 3 CALLS A DAY FROM THIS NUMBER.  THEY NEVER ANSWER, NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE EXCEPT THAT THEY WILL CALL BACK...WHO THIS HELL IS THIS AND HOW DO I STOP THESE A-HOLES FROM CALLING AND HARASSING ME???????

I am getting calls from this # multiple times during the day and even early night. Weekends are no exception. No message is left and I never answer. They need to stop calling!

OK folks, after receiving several calls a day from this number, and reading your posts, I decided to pick the phone when they called back.  To my surprise, a live voice answered, and announced herself as "Martha Lennon".  I have no idea if that's her real name, and from her diction, I can say almost certainly what her ethnicity is (but I won't reference it here).  I informed her that she has page after page on these web sites of uncomplimentary comments about her calls.  I also told her she was calling people on the "Do Not Call List", and that was illegal.  She was silent for a moment, and then became very apologetic (real or artificial), and then confirmed the number she was calling (mine), and said it would be removed from the data base (We'll see about that...).  So if the phone rings at your home with this caller ID, pick it up and ask, "Is this Martha Lennon calling"?, and see if she freaks out and hangs up.  Best of luck to us all.

These BLEEPERS called again this evening.  WTF?

BLEEPERS called again and my spouse answered and they claimed to be taking a survey for local TV advertisers.  He told them to get lost.  He was way too polite.  Wish I had taken that call.  I would have BLEEPED them good.

Bleepers called again and there was no one there.  File another complaint.  Woke me up while I had a migraine.  Bleeping Bleepholes.

www.spokeo.com shows this number as a flagged telemarketer coming out of Oak Harbor, Washington.

I have been getting calls no less than once a day and as many times as 4 times a day from this number for the past month. I had not answered the call and let it go to the answer machine. Today, Sunday, I got 2 calls. Out of frustration I answered the call and dead silence and just as I was about to hang up someone answers at the other end in a voice so out of breath. She comes on saying "First off this is not a solicitation call. Have you heard of the following add companies?" and as she is naming off several company names I hung up on her.  At least I have caller I.D. and I will not be answering that number any more.

They called yesterday to voice mail and today my spouse just hung up on them.  I sent a copy of the voice mail to the FCC.  Will file another complaint.

This is service verification. We will call you back (pause) later. No idea who this is but we don't answer unknown numbers.

Telephone number keeps calling my house.  Answered once, no one on phone.

Same "verification call". I suspect fishing or sales. Hate them filling up my answering machine.

They call minimum 2x per day...and leave a voicemail;

"This is a service check call"

I once picked up the phone and someone said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I have the wrong #."

They call me every day, somebody shut these guys down!  They leave a voicemail, "this is a service check call", like they're seeing if my number is in service or not, some kind of phone phishing I guess.  If I answer the call they just hang up.

I also received the same bogus recording that this was a service verification from 360-836-4040.  My number has been on my state and the national do not call registries for years.  There are rules regarding when a telemarketer can robo-call you, and I am not required to add MY number to THEIR do not call list.  I filed complaints with both the FTC and the FCC.  The FCC complaint link is http://www.fcc.gov/complaints/ and the FTC complaint link is https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx.  Both forms are easy to fill out and register a complaint, and I would encourage anyone receiving these calls to also file a complaint, whether or not your number is on a do not call list as the nature of their call is a violation of rules regarding telemarkets.

This is one of the many phishing messages which confirm your # and add it to a list to sell. Please report everyone of them to the NDNCL. Legit financial companies that you deal with will identify themselves in the message. I don't pick up my phones any more because of stupid scums like these who don't have real jobs.

I HAVE PLACED THAT PHONE NUMBER UNDER MY CELL PHONE LISTING CALLED "DO NOT ANSWER," AND I HAVE A SPECIAL RING FOR THOSE COMPANIES. THEREFORE I CAN DETERMINE BY THE RING TONE THAT I SHOULD NOT BOTHER TO ANSWER.

verafast keeps calling with a confirmation number.  I have no idea why.  It is super annoying.  I filed a complaint with the FCC.

I've been getting calls from this number too, but I was afraid that giving anyone my number would in fact verify me as a real person so I didn't want to manually input it. I found Ver-A-Fast's number -- (440) 331-9962, called them and spoke to Sue who was very helpful. She said it would take a couple days to be put on their do not call list, but I'll update here if this has not happened after a few days.

Never give away your phone number online. People pay lots of money for a number even if they're not 100% sure it's a real person.
