FYI - Level 3 Communications is an internet backbone company ... think of them as being the ISP for your local web host or ISP (not Comcast, ATT, Verizon or other "majors"). From what everybody is posting here these folks are into scams and are likely placing calls through the internet (sorta like Vonage/Skype/etc.). Simply do not talk to these folks. Don't take the call. If they are calling from outside the USA then nothing short of getting Level 3 to cut them off can be done about this. Level 3 is a SUPER reputable firm and I really doubt that they know this is going on. You could try emailing abuse@level3.com about this.

I got a call from this number and also from blocked numbers with the same message, telling me that they are filing leagal suit against someone I know, and that if I don't contact them right a way that I will be criminally charged and face court and blah, blah, blah, it's a guy with a hindu accent, I can hardly understand what he is saying. What ever you do do not give these people any personal info.

Didn't Answer due to the extra zero in the phone number.

1st call I received I answered. A man with an accent from India said he was calling from an Investment firm. I immediately asked him how he got my phone number (I am on the no call list) and he would not say anything. I hung up.
Got two more calls today from the same number but did not answer.
Hoping someone from the no call list will do something about these people!

i got this call too. a hindu guy said i won 1500 dollars cash advance. i called him a terrorist and hung up.

Got this call twice to my cell phone, last night at 5:36 pm and again tonight at 6:04 pm.  Didn't answer either call.  Don't know who it is and don't want to know.  I'm sure it's some kind of solicitation. I am all so registered on the "do not call list" ... makes you wonder....

have had several calls no message left. who are these jurks. i'm also on a no call list. this is very annoying.

I just got a call from 374-100-00000 too. I didn't pick it up and they haven't left a voicemail. Weird stuff.

Just got a call from 374-100-00000 (5 0s at the end).  No message, it just hung up after a few moments.

I got a call from this number today.  I never pick up calls from numbers I don't know, if it's important, they will leave a message.  I haven't been to the Caribbean in about 3 years and my husband planned that trip, so I don't know how they would have gotten my cell number.  Sounds for sure like a scam!  Ignore it!

I wonder if any one of you traveled to any Carribean country before getting these calls? I have started receiving calls from this number as soon as I got back from a trip to Barbados.

I believe that Level 3 Communications LLC is a telecom company. The caller is probably using a line or service from this company. I also rec'd a call on my cell phone with this number and I suspect the extra 0 may be an option #.. since I didn't recognize the number *and* the fact that the number had way too many zeros.. I didn't pick up the call on my cell. Sounds like i didn't miss anything :-)

wanted me to ankonwlwdge that i had receiveed in oct 2010 a loan from pick up loans that was deposited into a account at wells fargo bank.  I do not even have m a wells fargo acct.  The were wanting 240 dollars .. I argued with him and He refused to let me talk .  He would hang up and then call back in 2 sec and start over again

they called me and a hindu person told me that I won a government grant. he had all my info, adress, bday, even my bank account # and the location I opened the account at. the only info they didnt have is my DL # and my ssn. when I told him I would not give it ho him the guy got pissed and hung up on me. this sucks I had to close my account and open a new one because is a SCAM.

got calls from this # 374-100-00000 twice, both times within 1 minute of calls from 888-295-2216.  didn't answer any of them.  No voice mails either.

I see the number on my cell phone. I don't answer, and they leave no voice message.  I started getting these after I blocked a bunch of numbers that had been running my phone bill up like when you buy tokens, or point with the games on Facebook, like Vampire Wars or Farmville. Do any of you notice this as well?

The caller states he's calling from Global Travel.  4-20-2010.

I received this call with the male voice and likely spanish. He asked me about person with age as " 80 years old at my address" that is weird. Supposedly, I must to report to Police Department.

Message was that I had recieved a $400 gift card from Wal-Mart.  Figured it was a scam and hung up . (If it is too good to be true, it is!) Did check out the call with Wal-Mart, no promotion like that exists.  The prefix listed that the call was international from Armania.

It seems like this Level 3 communications , LLC. is tied with the nature of these phone calls.  Whatever the numbers maybe this company operates in telecom.  This company maybe testing new things out and either faulty equipment or planned samplings.

I have also received two calls from this number. I did not answer either time. I have reported them both times. I sometimes wonder if the do not call list is for real as there does not seem to be anything done to stop these ridiculous calls.
I also had magic jack and because of all the problems with it I let it run out. Now I am getting a lot of called from telemarketers now  I never received any before. It is funny when I open my email and have a message that there is a call in the voice mail. This number ran out back in September, 2009

This is a scam. They told me that they were a different company then LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. This is the second call I received from them since Friday. They used different names both times.
I am reporting them to the do not call list. Even after telling them I was on the list they still called again.

Never received a call like this.  I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.  Strange!!!

It seems that the number is an "exchange" rather than an area code and is listed for a company called LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC - Anybody have any idea who they are?

Left a message that was just a "static" noise. The number had 5 0's at the end.

Also received this # as a missed call today. Strangely, it showed up as 1-374-100-00000 (with 5 zeros at the end, not 4). No voice mail was left.
