Called with an urgent message that my computer sent them a message and it was infected with a trojan and was about to wipe out all my data. They wanted me to enter their commands at the command line prompt.  This is how i make my living and Symantec protects my systems.  They claim to have gotten my phone number from the GPS location sent by my computer. Really? Good try dog food. First they called my unlisted home number and second my IP address does not show even in the same state where I live.

They want control of your system.  Indian accent and are excellent at the con game.  Too bad I have been around the block with these type of people. If they call hang up!  Don;t get sucked into giving them control of your system.

Said I am due $7,200 in a Federal grant.  Had me load Team View 7 software which I did.  Then she asked for my ID and Code given by Team Viewer.  I refused.  She assured me that I had a secure line and she was not asking for any credit cards.  Giving her the Team Viewer codes gives her complete remote control of my computer, Don't fall for this scam!!!  I didn't, so I am OK. I have used Team Viewer to access my home computer from my laptop.

My wife recieved a call from this number. When she asked who they where she was told it was Sam Carter from Federal Grant Dept. and I needed to call him back ASAP.  As if I would.
