I attended the Discover Dinosaurs in Illinois a few weeks ago, and filled out an entry for a contest at the entrance. I got a call form (805) 855-0270 (Northern Los Angeles Area) last night saying I "won" the contest.
I was asked to verify my address. Then I was asked if I was married, I said no. Then he asked me if I was in a relationship, I said no. Finally, he asked how old I was, and I said 25. In the end, he never asked me for any personal information, and he said he'd mail me 4 tickets to disney, which are good for 5 years.

I believe that because I didn't fit the criteria of being a married mature parent, he didn't bother to ask me for any personal information. His assumption is that he can't get money out of me.

I have never been to full throttle but I have heard nothing but good things and can't wait to go I just got this call after putting our name in at the discover the dinosaurs in Springfield,ma apparently these ppl get around they did claim affiliation with universal Orlando and Disney the guy is supposed to call back tomorrow I am going to email both Disney and universal to complain this is ridiculous and I am contacting the police and my attorney as soon as I hear him say I have to pay money. My bf and my ex (who also took my son on another day) also put their names in so far neither have gotten calls was so wishing it was real but at the same time knowing its not. These so called companies are full of scumbags I may have a bf but I am a single mom I run a small jewerly making business which doesn't bring in a lot of money they get ppl like me's hopes up that I would be able to finally take my child to Disney but its a scam and I can't. I am very very upset. They called from 2 diff numbers one listed and another from an 805 area code which is def not local.

Hello,
I read your email and felt I I needed to explain to you how this business works.  I personally am the person who was working the booth at full throttle. I have been doing this for 22 years. I first would like to stay that Full throttle had no affailation with this.  I am a seprate company that comes in to do event. The call you got was from from the people whom I forward all non winners to so they can call you and offer you a discount trip. This is how they make their money.   The process is, I come in and set up a booth and generate leads(entry forms) for the travel companies. I giveaway one trip and the premium which is usually 100.00  gift card.  While filling out entry form I inform the person tha they do not have to be present to win and if they dont win they will be offered an opportunity to purchase a discount package.  I also had  them announce winner and called winner.  He picked up his prize and was very happy. On .the back of the forms they have everything disclosed saying if you do not win you will be offered a great opportunity to purchase a trip.
I did notice that the excitement level was very high at the throttle this year and it was a rush to get in the door.  I think this might have contribute to confusion and the music factor was very loud and I am sure alot of people did not hear me say the whole pitch.  So on that note I would like to apologize for any confusion.  I work very hard at this business to do it right way and I do realize that there are some telemarkters that are a bit more pushy then others but at the end of the day it is about generating revunue. When done this way we comply with all rules and regulations of the business. If you need to talk or have any more information I ask for you to cotact me personally.  If you can fnd it in your heart o take this down as full throttle (Michael Ballard)has nothing to do with this and I do not want to give ful throttle a bad rap  for the way this business works.  Please contac me at pgaleads @aol.com   Thank you and I am sorry forr the inconveince.

received call that I won a trip to Florida. I went to the NJEA conference in Atlantic City. They wanted me to pay $199 per person. I would have to spend 90 minutes listening to time share info. They wanted me to give them credit card information over the phone. I did not feel comfortable but they were not willing to give me any time to think it over. I declined and I am happy I did not let them bully me into giving them any information. I went online after the conversation to make sure I did not make a mistake. I typed in oasis travel and the real oasis travel come up with a box that said they were located in MInnesota and were not affiliated with the oasis travel in Daytona FL. The website of the company that called me is 4oasistravel.com They used 4islandoasis.com in the past. They sound fishy to me. Apparently when you cancel they charge you a $50 fee. I couldn't find a review of anyone that actually went on the trip.

I got the same call....same information...however the phone number was 202-239-6000.  The guy got real sarcastic when I wouldn't give him my credit card number. I just point blank asked him why he needed my number if it was a free trip.  He said "lady, no credit card number, no free tickets" and hung up.

I got a call from Alayna Ghant of Oasis Travel today, she explained to me that I had won the trip, told me where I would be staying, both in Orlando, and Daytona Beach, gave me the names of the hotels and addresses and everything. As well as toll free customer service number for Oasis Travel, and their mailing address. Along with 2 tickets to Arabian Knights, with real horses and knights in armor.....all this followed by a 4 day-3 night cruise to the Bahamas on the Celebration 1 cruise ship. And then after quite an extensive conversation and fully explaining everything from the who what and where, I asked about the processing fee and when it had to be paid by cuz I didnt feel like paying the $199 per person for 2 people, and she said something about working out payment arrangements and talked to the payment center blah blah blah, and they said that at least one of the two of us would have to pay the full $199, and the other could pay when we called to book our trip. Luckily I didnt have that much in my checking account......She got my name from an entry form at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, where I went earlier this month. How can they set up these booths at such well known places and get away with it? I wonder how many people that went to Full Throttle during the rally this year were called. I know my boyfriend also filled uit entry form, and he didnt get called.....yet

This is a scam. You probably put your name in some ballot box hoping to win a free trip. Well you'll be told that you won and all you need to do is pay a small "processing" fee of $500 to get your trip. If you get this call and were lucky enough to find this note....hang up and hang up now for your own safety.

persistent calling over several days, including a couple of hangups. Finally got thru to "switchboard op" who steered me to shelly. I won a prize of six days/5night at 5 star resort outside the gates of universal orlando. Plus my choice of free cruise to cancun or bahamas. To avoid the supposed tax  liabilitys on the prize I was to remit $249 pp in advance. They also tell you they"re saving you $700 in tax if you give them the money. Supposedly the prize is good for a year with no blackout dates but they never really tell you  where your staying or the name of the ship. When I expressed my skepticism they just slammed the phone down. They also imply an affiliation with universal orlando
