The sad thing is, they still are in business. I do not know how. It's all about money and selling policies, sure they are protected, but thats not the goal. The goal is to sell union members into thinking they have "special benefits". Even funnier, their polices are one of the top replaced by other companies. I've asked a few people about this company and none of them heard of it. They are tied to the keyword "scam" and it's too bad that people buy into it and work for them. Work for a company you've HEARD of. I've worked for them, their corporate culture is a joke, all young people working for them, kids trying to sell insurance. Managers with over inflated egos who only care about the dollar, no customer satisfaction. This company won't last another 50 years. I even laughed at when their youtube videos were unable to comment on, and another that is trying to say they're not a scam. So many empty promises, paychecks were horrible, no new leadpacks. The SGA was cheap and didn't want to spend money to make money. Which is why a lot of these "successful" people fail in business. With them I guess it's fake it to make it.

Harassing people on the phone for a job they don't want isn't a "questionable" hiring method, it's just plain wrong, and anyone who does business this way doesn't deserve to be in business.

It's not a scam at all, it's just a commissioned based job and their hiring methods are just a little questionable. Yes, pyramid. The higher ups really benefit from your hard work, but their retention isn't that great because they do not want to put in the effort with the people they are in charge of, and money is the only goal, not customer satisfaction. If you do go here, you have to work very hard, pay attention, work your lead pack, get referrals. You also have to travel, work smart, not harder than you have to. If you can survive two months without a paycheck, then go for insurance. Insurance in general is a rewarding job, depending on the company you work for. Everything in Insurance is a challenge, but if it wasn't hard, everyone would be doing it.

I'm going back for my 3rd interview. I hope it sincerely is not a scam because I really need a job. I know someone who works for the company that I'm waiting to get a hold of about the supposed scam. As for people saying that it's a pyramid scheme, most jobs ARE. They don't call it work because it's easy. Aggressive positions like this are not for the lazy. I for one am checking into getting my insurance liscense and I'm not stupid enough to get it at a place in the same building or through the company. If someone wants me to work for them I shouldn't have to pay them to accept the job. I will post back with my findings to set the record staight.

I am so sick and tired of getting calls and emails from AIL I could scream and throw my phone.

They are harassing people and it's not right! I have already told them "no thank you."

How do I get rid of them? How do I get them to stop calling and email me?

I do not care of the "earning potential." I do not want to work there. How else can I make myself clear?

This company really is a joke, first off it's a commissioned job, second it's all run by kids dressed in what they call business attire, run by a bunch of "cheap used car salesmen" types, who are cheesy and only care about the dollar, and have this professional "I'm going to sell everyone" attitude. It's life insurance, not rocket science, you can be a moron and sell life insurance. You work for yourself, yet you're "required" to work monday through sunday. Sure, if you have no family and have a strong work ethic, yes, but come on, it's just life insurance. Pyramid scheme, yes. Agents come with high hopes, get the help they need, go on a bunch of appointments, hit their bonuses, and then they're on their own and it's sink or swim. Then when their sick of having no life, and getting nothing in return, they leave, and their accounts are transferred to a manager. Insurance has such a high turnover because a lot of people are just not cut out for it. The childsafe kit is a wonderful tool, but tacky how it's connected to them and used for referrals. Work for a company that you've actually heard of. Research insurance companies, their products, etc and their overall rating. If you don't like commissioned sales, go after a degree in what you want to do, and what your passion is. Also, paying for training, I find to be ridiculous. Besides the licenses, which are required to pay for, if you're going to work for a company, you shouldn't have to pay for working. Don't waste your time if you can't handle a 60 hour work week, no social life, and surviving on next to nothing.

This company is a joke run by children, who think business attire is something you find on the clearance rack at burlington coat factory. They make you sit for  days and waste your time, then specify that you have to pay for your certification and class after the inital waste of time takes place.
Scam or not this company is a joke.

This is a b***s*** pyramid PYRAMID scheme.  Although they'll deny it that's who they are.  Avoid them.  They just want busy bee workers to take advantage of and pay for that bi*** receptionist they employ.  Unless you're into taking advantage of people (some people are; most of the people they employ) make your account on Monster private.

It is a shame that you need to discredit the company because of your lack of knowledge on this company. If you are saying your resume has never been posted online and you are not a policyholder maybe a friend of yours referred someone to call you about life insurance. Either way. check them out on BBB.com and you will see they are a legitimate company. If a company should not be proactive and call resumes on monsterboard or career builder then why bother posting resumes online. Why don't you go and post some positive things about a company you like rather than try to taint others views about a good company. This is the exact problem with society today. Luckily in this world we are innocent until proven guilty.

You  have a lot of nerve lying. Ever since I posted my résumé on Monster.com your company has been hounding me with emails and now they are calling my cell phone and leaving no message.

If they keep it up, I am going to sue THEM for harassment!!!! (We have your number, so you can be found.)

All of you out there (you know who you are) who are preying on the unemployed should be ashamed of yourselves. How do you sleep at night? It's hard enough trying to get a job with way over 200 people applying for the same job. Because of unethical people like you, we are forced to be VERY CAREFUL where we apply. There are probably some very legitimate job listings that we don't apply to because we are not 100% sure they ARE legitimate! Don't you even care that some of us have families to support? Hard to do when you have no income! And now, "lawyer," your company is forcing us NOT to post our resumes online. When the economy goes under, you only have yourselves to blame!

Also, "Lawyer," I don't believe that you ARE a lawyer. No lawyer would be posting that he is going to sue someone. A lawyer would be very professional and just sue the person, not advertise it to the whole world!  Very childish!

I am neither a policy holder, nor an applicant.  Yet, they continue to call me.  Any "legitimate" business worth their salt would have plenty of applications/resumes to choose from, and would not have to resort to what basically amounts to cold calling.

Also, if people only discussed "positive" things and never criticized, how could we affect change?

There is no scam here. Just becuase it is not what someone is looking for doesn't make something a scam.

It's incredible how ridiculous some people are.

Didn't anyone teach you, if you have nothing positive to say then don't say anything at all.

Anyway this is a legitimate insurance business.

IF they call you they are either calling policyholders or contacting someone regarding a resume they received.

I believe to know who you are because of a letter you sent with the same terminology in that letter with your name on it. Looks like you just copied and pasted to here.

You will get sued for defamation of character. No reason to lie to anybody.

If it is not you, then do yourself a favor, and put an end to this childish behavior.

For anyone listening to these people then shame on you!

If you want to be so kind to reply with your name then that would be great so we can sue you as well for lying above.

If you don't want to put your name then don't tarnish others.

Thanks for the positive comment! The reason I do not look at restaurant reviews is becuase the only people who take the  time to write any comment is usually someone not happy with something.

All the satisfied customers, who I would rather hear about, don't usually take the time to write something positive.

I am looking up the company since I have an interview coming up and what got me success in the past is to go with my gut when I meet a person or company, but never to listen to bloggers.

WHo wants to hang around whiners and complainers anyway.

Thanks for the advice in warning me about how a bad company this is and be thankful they don't go ahead and post bad things about you to possible employers. ( As you know they probably don't have anything positive to say about you as well so don't use them as a reference)

If this company doesn't have what I am looking for then so be it, but I would not say they are a scam because it didn't work for me.

WHen I worked for the post office, it didn't work out for me and seemed boring, but I would not call them a scam.

It's funny how people can listen to one derogatory comment and think they "avoided" a scam!?  I've been here over a year and the fact is we do screen for the right type of candidates.  Positive and Healthy.  If you are a former disgruntled employee that type of negativity is exactly why you haven't found success here.

To discourage others that may actually be GREAT in this business it's unfortunate but those that think they are "too good" for this company, well maybe that's what other companies might be interested in.  Have fun  cold-calling friends and family.  (And no we don't telemarket) I do like Aflac though they are very similiar.

This is a working class 100% Union company.  There's a reason 90% of our countries locals have been coming to our company for their benefits for over 60 years.  Have a nice day guys and please don't believe everything you read on the blogs folks.

I got a call from these guys too. They called my cell phone, and said they came across my resume on monster or something when I was driving to another interview in providence, and asked me if i was interested in a new career. I have never been in insurance before and I don't feel like having my time wasted. I read everything on here, and was not surprised with what I read. I went anyways and had an interview, and there were a ton of others in there, and that was a red flag to me. I sat down with one of the managers, seemed like a real cheapskate and was obnoxious. Their office is small, and everyone in there looks very young, so that tells me that there's not a lot of experience in that office. I'm going to pass on this so called "golden opportunity" and move on. I've had calls from Colonial, Primerica, Bankers Life, and so on... I think I'm going to go for Aflac. It doesn't sound like the employees were too happy either. I live in Coventry so I want to stay close to home as possible.

This number is from the Francisco Perez agency in North Providence, RI. They are from American Income Life, which for one is not a company many have heard of to begin with. They spend all their time recruiting agents for their agency, work them over 50 hours a week and micromanage. You want a real job, avoid these people and go for a real company that will give you support that you need, such as Bankers or Primerica, or even Aflac. They constantly bother people to come in for "interviews" and tell you that you are "qualified" and they want you on their team because of your "work ethic". It doesn't matter if you work at Taco Bell or if you have worked for a prestige company in finance. They want you there to work for them, make them money, then leave due to stress and then be forced to find another job. It is time wasting, and not worth it in the long run and the stress is too much to bare. If you are a family person, need not apply. They want someone to fill their heads with empty promises. "management positions" that you can get into. There ARE management positions, but to get to them is a challenge. You have so many requirements and hoops to jump through and when you do get into a management position, you have to pay $150 a week in "fees" to keep everything "running". Do not take it out on the recruiters, they are just doing their job. If Francisco Perez was not running the agency, which is already failing to begin with, then it would be a better place to work for. Other agencies do very well in this economy, because with Life Insurance, there is always a need for it, and people see the value. Just one word of advice from one ex employee, stay away from this agency, and work for some place that people actually heard of. I wish everyone the best of luck, cause in this day and age, people need help. We are very glad to give you some of the background on this agency. If you are based out of RI, or MA, avoid this.

Sincerely,
An agent that got out just in time.

If you place your resume online you will have many calls from phone #401-234-4700.  Number is a scam. Be careful when placing resumes online.  Fake companies taking advantage of innocent people, especially those who are trying to find a job.  Very sad.  This phone # should be investigated, prosecuted, and sued.
