I have been trying to sell a car on cl and got his guy texting me about. Knew off the bat scammer so all my responses are worded the same way back.  I asked him what scammer union was he with. I have reported his number and the checks as fraud to the fbi and the treasury.

He is a scammer, fortunately, no one is telling him that the word is out.  He wants to buy a eq... I was bored and so have exchanged texts just for entertainment.  He gave me a name, waiting for the address... may let him send something in the mail.  I know the scam is sending a forged or altered cashiers ck from out of state or out of country bank.  Then 2 wks later, your bank deducts funds from your acct when it is returned and found to be fraud.  Can take 2 wks to find out... I suspect he will then crowd you to release eq to be shipped.  name he gave me was

I'm trying to sell Viking wine cooler on Craigslist.  He started texting me, am interested if it still available plus he wants more details on it.  I tried to call him couple of times never answer the phone so text msg back most of details on add and call us for more info.  He text back need my name and address to send me a certified check then after it cleared he will make arrangement to pick up by my private shipper.  I was suspicious who will purchase $3500 wine cooler without to look at it.  Glad I checked out.  Thanks guys.

Got texts saying wanted to buy my car off craigslist they wanted my name and address to send me a check then after it cleared they would send an agent to come get it, the whole thing sounded like a computer responding and could tell this was super fishy........definitely delete the number and anything affiliated with this number

I'm trying to sell some old camera gear on Craigslist, and this number started texting me, even though i specifically noted in the ad that I would be dealing with cash and local transactions only.  They even tried to prove they were "real" by calling me, but the connection was so terrible you could barely hear anything.

Received numerous texts similar to above complaints that he would buy my car and send an agent to pick it up.  After reading these complaints I told him not to contact me again.

What business has this number?

this guy tried to buy my car off craigslist but when i told him i suspected it was a scam and requested his name and address to verify his info with the local authorities, HMMM no response, then told him i am forwarding his number the the FBI fraud division.

same scam, from craigslist from pawtucket from all places. the give away is the "i am ok with the price".

tried scamming me with a cashiers check to buy my car but i knew right away that it was a scam number cuz i dont know the area code

Got a text - wanting to buy my posted new iPad 32GB.  Seemed odd to get a query from a thousand miles away.  Glad I checked it out

scammer says he's sending a check for more than the post & then wants me to give his agent the difference when he picks up the table.  I told him he would have to wait until the check clears but the text messages keep comming.

i got the same ....asking me to take down my CL add and they will send a check..total scam

Yeah I got a text basiclly saying take down your add off craigslist and I will send you a cashier check. This is a scam, sellers beware!!

Sumbody trying to scam me after I took an add off craigslist. I had a beverage air kegerator and kept getting certified check offers and then took my add down and 2 days later get a text about do you still have the kegerator for sale
