funny.  Yes they keep calling me..  First couple of times hung up when i answered.  Finally he said he was Max from either ars or ams alarms.  I told him to take my name off his calling list and he hung up on me.  Middle eastern accent

They called me so much, i finally decided to bite. I proceeded cautiously through a transfer process, and finally got to speak with an American. They set everything up, sent a licensed technician out, showed me everything in writing, and i now have a fully functioning security system i didn't pay a dime for. Couldn't be happier.

Received a call from the same number on 10/3.  Heavy Indian accent, said they were doing a survey.  Asked general questions anout if I had a fire alarm, burglar alarm and if I was satisfied.  I answered the questions (they didn't ask anything personal) and he said I qualified from a free security system.  He hung.  He hasn't called back.

i receive many calls from the same # 4014010111.When I answer they hang up on me. When I try to call back i get a recording that says your number cannot be completed as dialed. When they called again(about the 5th time in 2 weeks, I answered the phone but did not say anything. I young man in an American accent said "hello. Then I said whos calling please and they hung up.

someone with a foreign accent called me about Security System from 401-401-0111 on Oct 1,2008 at 6:23 Pm, I hung up on them! It's a scam!!! Told them I'm on the NO Call List! The name on my caller id showed xxxxxxxxxx I live in Branford CT

We have also gotten several calls from this number with no answer just a hang up.  It sounds like it might be an auto dialer system to check for current phone numbers to set up data bases to sell.  In any case there should be an agency we could report this kind of harassment to.

Received a call from this number...offering a security system for my home...they were stumbling on their words when i asked them how they got my number...strong Indian accent woman and a supervisor with a slight Indian accent.  I could hear alot of phones and noise in the background. I grilled them for 10 minutes straight about invading personal time. I bet they call back later...btw they stated they got my number at randon dialing.. My advice just dont answer the phone. Good luck and play around with them abit.

This jerk called me too. The fact that they are trying to say it is about a 'free home security system' is scary. Especially since they call people at 9pm and are constantly rude, hang up when asked a question, and are calling everyone in the same area.

I'll keep my shotgun close.. They will get nothing but some buckshot out of me!

someone with a foreign accent called about having smoke detectors in the house. we weren't intersted. We hung up. First call we received and we live in Eastern Massachusetts.

I live in NE Mass and just got a call from this # at 5 minutes before 9pm. No message. Second night in a row they called at that time.

Same deal. We just hung up on him and hasen't called back yet. We also can't call him back.

same call number. for me it was a woman. very poor/spotty connection with audible white noise/static over the line; seemed like an int'l calling card or VoIP call. Accent was not middle-east, but sounded south asian, possibly Indian.

Tried to give away a GE security system to me and "ten lucky homeowners in my neighborhood."  my neighborhood is all rental apartments.. *laughs*.  clearly reading slowly from a script.

as caller was hanging up, voice was cut-out and a US-accent male voice was heard (also seemed similar to a glitch in old VoIP software that i've encountered before).  very bizarre.  wonder if they are confirming numbers to run ID theft with...  scary. will be on extra-vigilant high alert for my credit data and banking reports.

1st time told them i was on do not call registry.  guy swore at me and hung up.

2nd time when they asked if i was the homeowner, i asked what they were selling.  they then hung up.

Received a call from this number. On caller Id it states UN ASSIGN RI. Caller stated they were with our Rural Coop Electric Company.  Husband informed them if they cannot speak English not to call our number.  He could not understand very much of what person was saying.  We are on a do not call list and should not be receiving these calls.

Received a call from this number asking to speak to the owner of the house.  
I said no and hung up.

Received a call from this number for filling out survey (did not do it).  Responded that did not fill out survey, when told not to call again someone screamed in the backgrouind and then hung up.

I got a missed call on my cellphone from this number. In attempting to call it back, I got a message that it was an invalid number. Certainly it was spoofed. I think numbers with 401-401-xxxx all are about selling a security system and is a scam.

Have had a dozen or more calls from this number in the last few days, they have never left a message. Would very much appreciate it if they would identify themselves or quit calling

I rec'd a call, I was saying hello, hello and then I knew it was a telemarketing call.  Who are these people?  I am on the do not call registry!

Received 3-4 calls from this number on my  cell.  There is always a gap after I say hello before anyone speaks.  Caller is a male with what is likely an Indian accent who claims that he is calling for GE security systems and would like to set up an appointment to install one in my home.  Usually I say "No" and hang up.  Today I challenged him and demanded to know how he got my name and phone number.  His response is that he got it from the phone directory.  SInce this number isn't listed I told him he was lying and demanded to know who his source of numbers and names is, who is selling this information without my consent.  He got flustered, would not answer, so I hung up.

Received several calls from this number/these people.  It's annoying!  I've told them to take the number off their call list.

I think they're full of doodoo.  It's definitely a scam.    

My boyfriend's father answered the phone when they called today and said some expletives.  

I've reported that # at the Do Not Call Registry 3-4 times already.
