some alarm company, that i never heard of,claiming i won a free wireless G.E. alarm system. to qualify i must be a home owner

I received this call today too.  No message on the machine.  Caller ID said "UN ASSIGN RI"

Second time they called, still didn't answer.

Hope I did better than that, I called GE Marketing directly and file a complaint.  They said they will look.  Sounds like GE is concerened about these calls.

got the call did not answer. I caalled the number back and I kept getting number not inservice. caller ID stastes unknown call R.I.

I received a call from 401-401-1234 and the caller ID said Rhode Island. I will be vacationing in that area soon, so i was worried about my reservations! The caller actually got my teenage son first, and by the time I got to the phone, they hung up - thank goodness!!! I hope they don't call back! I'm so glad I check the internet before returning "their" call!

I have been submitting complaints for over two years to the FCC whenever I received unsolicted, ILLEGAL, telemarketing calls, and based on the fact that the same "companies" continue to harass me, complaining doesn't do any good!  What a joke.  DNC list?  Unenforceable (or at least they're unwilling to enforce it.)

Just got a call and did not answer.

A good reply I've used in the past is, "I'm only renting this place."  Another good one is, "The owner isn't here right now."

One time a chimney sweep insisted that I needed his service.  I told him that I did not have a chimney.  The smart a** asks, "Then how do you heat your home?"  I told him that I have electric heat.  There was SILENCE!

called and male, couldn't speak english for anything.  Couldn't understand him at all.  He said something about a survey we completed last week.  Told him we didn't complete any survey and hung up on him.  I agree!! Where is that DO NOT CALL LIST we signed up on????????

The woman could hardly speak English. She pretents to be my daughter.

Didn't Answer The caller left no message. Tried to call back and call doesn't go through. So they can call you but don't bother them.

Called yesterday, indian accented male stated he had good news for me based on survey I completed.  I said what was the survey about. He was vague, said the one I did a couple of weeks ago.  I said I don't do surveys and he said that was all right, he could still share the good news with me.  I hung up.  Another call tonight.  I answered the phone, heard the same accented voice and hung up.

Got a call from VMS alarms indicating that I and 9 other lucky neighbors had won an alarm system

Didn't answer, called immediately back, didn't answer a second time.

No message

Have received calls several times over past 6 weeks+.  When I answer, it's usually a male voice with an Indian accent.  One time he tried to ask me about my home's security system.  The next time he said, "Remember that survey you took about home security a few weeks ago?"  I told him he had the wrong number, and he hung up.

Caller I.D. says Rhode Island, then the number. Have never answered figuring it's some sort of solicitation. Whatever happened to the "do not call" list that I signed up for over a year ago?

Calls come to my home and number 401-401-1234 appears on my Caller ID.  When I answer, there is total silence at the other end.  I finally called the number and got an American lady who is very angry because she keeps getting these return calls even though she has a different number.

Repeatedly over 2 months calls and leaves a tape message of the if you would like to make a call or you need help call an operator.

called a few months ago and i hung up. called last nite. man with indian accent asked questions about smoke detectors.  when i wouldn't coperate he got pissed.
some four letter words were exchanged. he seemed content to argue with me. i finally hung up on him.

I did not answer, caller started to leave message and hung up. Caller spoke very broken english. (woman's voice)

About 6:30pm, some guy, who could hardly speak english, told me that I was chosen to get a $1,200 GE wireless gift card and a GE security system.  Told him I wasn't interested.  The next afternoon, some woman who could hardly speak english from the same number, told me the same thing.  Told her someone already called and I wasn't interested and to stop calling.

girl could hardly speak english.  congratulating me that I and 9 other home owners in my area won a GE security alarm.  Good grief!  I get so sick of these people...
