stop calling every 30 minutes

multiple attempted faxes this mporning from this number to a phone registered on the naitonal do not call list.

I've gotten this call/fax  a couple of times but Ido not have a fax machine so it comes in on my voice line.
Oh well, someone's not getting their message.

I called the number back and it went to a "remove you number" message. Hopefully it works. This has been so annoying!

I just spoke to someone at "level  3 Comm" and he said it's one of their 'end-user clients. I told him my next stop was at the FCC to complain, if they don't make it stop. He wanted my name but I refused to give it to him and I told him to google the number and see how many are complaining. He did that. I told him to track down that end user and read them the riot act! lol THANK YOU, MELISSA!!!!

more and more of callers like this. Research turns up that if you accept the fax it's a phishing scam. A message or various sorts all the the same goal - TO GET YOUR MONEY! - seems many are from the middle east using automated recording connecting their call with a Canadian phone # so it appears to be a Canadian calling or faxing. Fairly cheap to set those things up, but pays big when they get a victim to give out their bank info, credit card info, etc. knowing what they're game is doesn't lessen the annoyance or irritation, but spreading the word may prevent someone from being duped into giving out personal information and getting scammed.

Got two calls minutes apart.  My phone will not pick up an unrecognizable number.

called at 8:45 am mon 10/8/2012.  only thing i heard was a fax machine beep.  i called back and it is clearly another solitication!

UPDATE..looks like level  3 Comm sent me to another company..Total Solutions grp..408-826-8187..I'm not giving up  I got 4 calls today from that evil number..I might change my phn nbr..

Its actually a company called Level 3 Communications at (501) 604-1700 .. I called and left a message about the continued calls...so far it has stopped..  www.level3.com

i was able to call the fax number and it allowed me to remove my telephone number, will see if it works;  4014279793

I finally found the actually company calling and trying to fax people. Thru Paetec Comm and then Windstream Comm and now to company called Level 3 Comm.  Their phn nbr is 501-604-1700 www.Level3.com.

multiple times per day

just got a call, and then it is followed with a restricted number, on my cell phone, very very annoying.  Any luck.  I'm on hold with the company listed above...I tried the route of a new customer...man for a company trying to get new customers, I've been on hold for about 4 min already...I would NEVER use them.

Yesterday I had four calls from this number-- three from 401 the number and then immediately after one from a "private caller." Very annoying!

Yes, we received three "calls" from this number today from a fax machine trying to get through (about 7 mins apart).  Fax machines generally give up after 3 tries but this one then started calling from an unidentified number (still with fax beeps).  I switched the phone lines to see if I can get an actual fax to come through on our actual fax line (instead of our phone line).  I will post again if I am successful.  What a pain in the neck!

When I called the numer it was a recording from an older sounding guy saying, "I'm sorry, this number is not in service anymore."  which is clearly a recording from a number which obviously IS in service.  What a sham!

If anyone is being harrassed at home from caller 401-427-9793..U pick up and it's just a beeping sound I found out who it is.. a company called Paetec Communications, Inc. - Ri at (800) 843-9214..I called and had to fill out form over phn w/ a rep...and I'm complaining to the FCC...They are trying to fax solicitaions..

Your best bet might be getting a call blocking device and simply block their number.

I am also receiving numerous fax-type calls which tie up my phone line and answering machine. How do we get it to discontinue? Called the number and was told it is not in service.
