that is the training center for citizens bank. It could be anyone calling from there.

401-464-3000 called and they asked if this was a business. I said "no" and they said "sorry" and hung up. The caller ID said CFG. I looked it up and it is Citizens Financial Group in RI.

i received a phone call from this number it said it was my bank;i see by all the complants it is fraud

I received a call from this number. The caller said it was in reference to a credit card that had been opened fraudulently in my name, which he knew. He wanted my information (social security number and address) so he could send me a letter, so it wouldn't affect my credit rating. I refused to give him anything and said he should have the information. He said he had my address, and again asked me to "confirm" it by giving it to him. I asked him what address he had and he said, "I have to obtain it form you to verify." I don't know who the hell this guy was, but it smells like a scam to me. I called my credit card company and they did not know anything about this phone number. I am also on the no call list, which seems to mean less and less. In any case, my advice is not to give out any information to these callers. If they're legitimate, they should have your personal information in their files and shouldn't ask you to provide it.

Called asking for my husband.  Said she was calling from "The Bank".  Never said what bank (and really, why wouldn't they just say "I'm calling from *bank name*"?).  Caller ID only said CFG (which is not our bank)

Got at least 3 calls from this number in one night, naming a person they want to speak with, always a different person and asking for personal info. Very annoying.

Caller does not leave message.  I don't answer.

Just answered a call from this number, and the man on the other end said, "Hellooo?  Is this Citizens Bank?"  Odd, since many of you report this number as a Citizens Bank number...

Call from this number today. Wanted to speak with my boss.  I would not pass the call through and asked what the call was about.  The woman said she was with Citizens Banking and it was about business banking.  I hung up.

This number is legit. It's from Citizens Bank...my husband just started working in the main office and was calling me to give me his new number, but since it popped up with the "464-3000" number and "FSG" in the called ID, I didn't answer it. After reading these comments, I texted him asking if he was calling me and he said yes. It's because they have too many numbers in the building so everything just gets routed out through that number.

I do bank with Charter One, but have never answered this call.  Sure sounds like a scam and I have no desire to ever speak with whoever calls from this #.

I researched this number and it is NOT Citizens Bank it IS listed as BANK CITIZEN, not the same!
Also researching further it is a scam

The number is a legit one...CFG= Citizens Financial Group.  Citizens Bank and Charter One Bank are under this number.  IF someone is calling you from this number, you have a relationship with either Citizens or Charter One (MI, OH, IL).

CFG was what it said on my caller id... Called it back and it is indeed citizens bank. No message left by them so I do not believe its that important except they are trying to collect a debt from that I am very well aware of...

Got a call from this number earlier, they left a message claiming to be from Citizens Bank, specifically from Switch Support (just opened an account the night before to change over from my current bank). I found this a bit odd, considering all the switch work was supposed to be done through my mother's account, seeing as how they're linked, what with me being a student still.

Was a bit suspicious, so I talked to the associates at the Citizens Bank where I work (local Stop and Shop), and asked if they recognized the number. It took a minute, but they did identify it as the number from the main branch or something in Rhode Island. Considering one of the previous posts, I'm inclined to believe it was legit. Not sure if I'll call back, though. They weren't exactly supposed to call me in the first place...

The caller offered me a job with Citizens Bank

The number 401-464-3000 is a valid number at Citizen's Bank/Royal Bank of Scotland. In my job, I transmit/receive files to certain departments in that organization. If there are problems and I call their technical support number, this is the number they will call me back from. Most calls are probably due to misdialing or their staff writing down an incorrect callback number.

4014643000 is citizens bank---they called no caller id--did leave a voicemail--then states being recored and refuses to give a name ---i got a nancy macintosh @ 401 464 7753 she was very rude and the call didn't pertain to me at all!!!
