EVERYONE need to call the Federal Trade Commission and report this number to them maybe if enough people put in on this one it would be one less scam number out there.
There number is 1877-382-4357
Call them today.
Hope they will stop today if not I am going to turn off phone....

Sick of these calls ask the guy to take me off the list he said I was a rude witch and would never be taken off list that he would continue to annoy me asked me how much I owed on my credit cards I told him it really was none of his business that is when he called me a wiitch and that I would be sorry.

Call said "This is 2nd reminder about your credit cards"

Just got a hangup from these guys, for some reason the comcast blocker is never 100% effective.
Carol 2012-05-15 19:27:23 Unknown
If you do this they can go back to their records and say they spoke to you at length. Best thing to do is hang up.

Call from this number was to lower interest rates. I pressed 1, was connected to person named Austin. As soon as I began asking to remove my number, he promptly hung up.

We are on the Do Not Call list and have received a barrage of unwanted calls just like this one. Most of them have a recording if you call them back that says "if you do not wish to receive phone calls, press 1 to opt out." Then the next day they call back again. and the next and the next until you talk to someone and tell them to get you off the list. How are they doing this when I am on the Do not call list? I am going to start reporting them if it doesn't stop.

I just checked out that Humor Hotline which DB reccomends on 11 May.
It is a riot.
Question, Can you do this real itme? Can you press *72 and the "humor hotline" for your area, at the same time this phone is trying to call you?
Or ,does this diversionnumber have to be set up in advance for the specific spammer telephone number?
If more people used this diversion number, we would not need the do not call list or the FTC.
I also always report all of these numbers to the "FTC, Do NOt Call List." AS the number of complaints grows, so does the fine assessed by the FTC.
Here is the FTC link.
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
Here is the HUmorHotlne diversionary link posted again.
Thanks DB for the idea.

I play them along also, but since they know they are nothing but a "boiler room of crooks" they act like the low life crooks would, they scurry like cockroaches when the kitchen lights are flipped on.
the spoiler 2012-05-14 20:29:08 Unknown
I play dumb and tie up their script reader for as long as I can, saying I really need to lower my interest rates and get them to tell me how they can do it.
They f*** with me, I just return the favor

This company is calling my home phone - to try to talk to me about lowering my interest rate on credit cards. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry and they are violating the law. I'm going to try what db suggested...

Get calls early every morning, shortly after 9 a.m. I amnot well and am bothered by the intrusion.
I will report these unwanted calls.

Am so sick of these computer generated calls which refer to an unnamed credit card. Am adding this one to the list of many !!
Nozzy 2012-05-11 21:12:11 Unknown
I usually report these to the DNC Registry by filing a complaint. But the last couple of weeks, I get a page load error. Does anyone know of another way to file a complaint?
Nozzy 2012-05-11 21:06:06 Unknown
The call cell phones, too. We recently bought a new Panasonic phone that has call blocking. It's great!
Nozzy 2012-05-11 21:02:11 Unknown
That's THEIR problem for being PART of the problem! I have ZERO sympathy for telemarketers anymore.
Margaret Knaub 2012-05-11 20:59:59 Unknown
received a call from this unknown number today at 1:48 p.m.
please receive this unwanted caller notice and deal with accordingly. i will block it from my phone but ensure it is permanently blocked.
thank you
Nozzy 2012-05-11 20:59:39 Unknown
That is a great idea. I remember hearing folks also blowing a whistle into the phone. I'd scare the crap out of my pets!
Criz 2012-05-11 20:32:08 Unknown
I received the call in the afternoon but didn't answer. They didn't leave a voicemail. I called it back and received a recorded message. It said, "The caller at this number cannot be reached at this time." and then just kept looping the message.
Kevin 2012-05-11 20:28:20 Unknown
Received a call this afternoon. No voice mail. I am on a do not call list. No clue
call to Texas 2012-05-11 20:17:14 Unknown
Just received a call from this number, I actually answered. It was a message regarding "this is your final notice regarding your credit reduction. please press 1 to continue" I pressed 1, call transferred and a gentleman answered saying, "Ms. Vines, are you responding to our credit interest rate reduction as part of the economic stimulus?"
I said, "I'm not sure what I'm responding to, as I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST."
click.. dial tone..
some scammer probably trying to hack my credit card information.

Hi Folks,
Tired of this crap...
Go here here...
http://www.humorhotlines.com/RejectionHotline.asp
If you have "Selective Forwarding" like AT&T U-verse, or similar forwarding service via online settings or "Star Codes" have the offending numbers forwarded to one of the numbers provided on the Rejection Hotline.
It's a real HOOT! Even better than "Blocking" cause it wastes their time and resources.
Then all you'll get is an entry on your 'Received Calls' log with 0 mins. Your ph won't ring and you won't be bothered by that number any more. Obviously if they are using more than one number [ not the norm from my experience ] you may get another call from the same company so just add it also.
No more 402-204-6209...
You'll be glad you did...

Don't waste your time filling out the DO NOT CALL list. They only compile the numbers and do NOTHING! We should get rid of this agency and save taxpayers $$$
It's all a scam folks! 2012-05-11 16:57:25 Unknown
Hhhmmmmm? What is the name and number of "this" company. That would be helpful. But sounds fishy.
*57 to trace the call. File a report with local law enforcement agency.
Number comes from the do not call list. All telmarketers are required by law to get the do not call list. That list can be sold to shell/off shore companies or third parties. AKA criminals. That's where your number comes from. Google heather/ racheal from card services and abc news and you'll get your answer.
Best defense. Report as warn. All they want is your credit card info.

Hi Folks,
RE: Form 1088B at above URL link for FCC - http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?id=d1e37
Where to put which ph nos?
Tried to submit an offending number. Have several.
But ran into this so perhaps ya'll can help....
Which field does one put THEIR home ph no in and which one the offending caller's no.?
There's a field on the 1st web page "Telephone Number (Residential or Business):" that appears to be for My home no. If not and is for the offending caller how am I supposed to know if the offending call is Residential or Business?
Then on the 2nd page it says "1. TELEPHONE NUMBER: Telephone number where you RECEIVED the call". This clearly implies it's for My home no. also.
No where do I find a field to input the subject offending caller's no. I see "5. OTHER CALLS FROM THIS ADVERTISER :" but surely that's not intended for the main no. in question.
This is confusing to an OF like me, and I've probably overlooked the "obvious". If so please bear with me.
One other question: Can one submit more than one ph. no. from NON-related sources but of the same nature? I have several, as do many other folks.
TIA,
db
