I sure wish that a certain facility manager would behave as a facility manager and not a babysitter. I graduated from grade school. I do not need to be told to sit up in my chair, dont look out the window, look ahead and not around and ABOVE ALL quit saying "Focus" all the time.  We are at are place of employment not in grade school nor in prison.  I understand we all make mistakes and we pay our dues and we MOVE on and lose the mentality.  Unfortunately, some people dont loose the mentality of incarceration and it makes it a real real drag to even come to work.  Please be respectful of people and they will respect you.  If you do not respect people, they will not respect you.  If you are burned out on your job then have the wisdom to move on.  Part of wisdom is knowing when its time to go and when its not.  It is most unbecoming when you are insulting to people. Really.  I dont understand why you are such an angry person in your soul, but that is your journey to take and find out why.  We all have crosses to bear in our lives, but really treat people with respect and you will go alot further in life.

Another thing customers need to look into is whether your state is a non-rebuttal state. When we call your state, if you object to what we are offering you and we respond with a rebuttal or a clarification, you should contact your local attorney general. The reason being in non-rebuttal states, we are not allowed by law to respond to an objection. but we are required to do so.
Likewise, we regularly call Kentucky and other states that require permission to continue. We are told to ignore this even though it is populated on our computer screens. If employees from CRT do not do this, this can be a violation of your state law, and you should contact your local attorney general to file a complaint as well.
Making complaints about Custom Response Teleservices, located in Nebraska, will help make our company comply with state laws, and make our company a better business by respecting laws of states.
Also, you can contact the Topeka, Kansas location at 785-273-1090 and ask to speak with Erma Pierce for assistance in having your number manually removed from our computer database.

I also work for CRT and believe me, if there was another job in my area that paid as much as this one does without requiring an advanced degree, I'd leave in a heartbeat.  With that being said, Employee of CRT had it right - we definitely reciprocate the feelings some of our customers (and some of you on this message board) have towards us.  First of all, we sell INSURANCE.  At least it's not selling magazines or doing surveys.  We don't have your social security number or account information, and we will never ask for it.  If anyone asks for it, hang up immediately.  And as far as being called multiple times: if you ask us to put your name on the Do Not Call List, that only prevents us (CRT) from calling you.  There may be other 3rd party companies that your bank has contracted to do their telemarketing.  You will have to tell the other companies to add you to their DNC lists as well.  I know, it sucks, but life goes on.  And just an FYI to the customers - it may seem like we've called multiple times about one product (there are several insurance products that we sell).  That's because the 1st few lines of ALL our scripts sound EXACTLY THE SAME.  Don't shoot the messenger.  Believe me, we don't like it either.  And if the owners happen to read this messege board - either you need to hire a new script/rebuttal writer or someone needs to proofread everything he writes.  Not only do the customers hate it, but the employees do as well.

If you all ever decide to read the fine print on what you sign at your bank, you will realize that you do have an option to opt out of recieving offers by phone. By signing, you give your bank permission to call you with these offers. This is why you are being called even though you are on the National DNC. Not to mention, everytime you sign up for anything, a loan, an account, a credit card.....it is all the same, so you may be called on several different programs. As far as it being a "dying profession"....if you keep on signing without reading, you are keeping us employed :) Also realize that we DO TELL YOU THAT IT MAY TAKE UP TO 30 DAYS TO REMOVE YOU COMPLETELY. That means that reporting us will do you no good. Just a parting note for all of you that hate me so........As much as you hate talking to us, we reciprocate the feeling times 100, however, listening to you make an a** of yourself on the phone is reward enough for me! :D

I as well work for Custom Response Services, and can vouch for the previous post. They will not allow employees much breathing room when it comes to "responses" as they are calling all rebuttals now in the company. Another alternative to get on the Do Not Call List is to spicificly ask for a supervisor and they also have the ability to make sure that your number is removed from any lists for the company. Employees are not happy about what we do, however it is a job.

I work for this company, Custom Response Teleservices. When calling non-rebuttal states, all employees are encouraged to use a clarification if a person says they are not interested, and any other response (such as I already have insurance) requires us to respond to it (rebuttal). This goes for every non-rebuttal state, and we are encouraged to violate these state laws, and chastised if we don't, and face discipline if we don't. Also, some state laws require an individual to ask "May I Continue," and we are told to ignore and skip it. If you don't want them calling, you need to ask to be put on the Do Not Call List, and if you are called again, which you will be, you need to file complaints with your local attorney general's office. If you file complaints, in time, they will be forced to comply with state and federal laws.

i work for crt and even if u r on the NDNC list, by federal law we are still able to call you because u have an existing business relationship with your bank, which ever u bank with. If u r upset, call ur bank n ask to taken off of ALL their solicitation lists. Or, simply asked to be placed on our DNC list n our facility can not call u for any offer from any bank.

4 months & 15 requests to these idiots to put me on their Do Not Call list. Still they call me & ask for someone not at my number. Kind of hard to make a deal with someone not at the phone number you are calling.

This Customer Response Teleservices company is clearly unethical & incapable of performing even the easiest task that a tele-marketing firm should be able to perform.

Are we coming to your home?Nope we are calling you and all you have to do is hang up or ask to be put on the DNC.As far as whining goes, kiss my A**! I am just trying to let people know that we are human beings, just like YOU!!!!!!

Time to wake up "Mrs. Me" you are working in a dying industry. So many scams are conducted over the phone now that honest people are increasingly just ASSUMING that every telemarketer is a scammer or trying to sell them some crap they can't sell any other way ... and you know, this assumption is CORRECT at least 90% of the time these days, and for the rest of the 10% it doesn't freaking matter. So get used to the abuse and the hatred you will have to deal with if you choose to remain in this "business", or get a clue and move on.

Your dubious job is just going to get more unpleasant both for you and the people you call. That's your choice, but don't come whining on here. And if you get a loud whistle in your ear, it might be because you made the mistake of calling me -- I don't cold call you, and you don't pay for my phone.

I am one of those "losers" you all speak of.Around here there is no where else to work unless we want to drive 60 miles one way! We are people just like you all are.I do my job because I need to pay my bills.Maybe some of you should think before you talk. This job feeds, houses and clothe my children! If you don't want to be bothered, pick up the phone then ask to be placed on the do not call list. Some of you are a big bunch of jerks.Honestly.If I didn't have this job my children and I would be homeless!I am honestly dumbfounded at the mentality of some people.

When you start paying my phone bill, then you can suggest what I can and can't do with MY phone. Until then, you'll get what I'm givin'. And if you're making unsolicited phone calls representing a company that I've never done business with, then what I'm givin' ain't gonna be pretty.

Update THAT.

well as for an actuall present employee of crt. im telling you all im just trying to do is  feed my family and pay the bills just like the rest of the world. so perhapps when you answer your phones you might want to have a little bit of manners and jsut ask polietly to be taken off of the list. for it is not our fault that we are calling you. it is your banks fault that we are calling you. you may want to contact your banks and update your information and asked not to be called. but manners is always greatley appreicated. you all dont like being yelled at well then you all need to live by the golden rule and that is treat others as you would want to be treated.

Who ever wrote this is 100% accurate.  You did your home work very well and you get an A+ for the day.  Having worked for this company, some of the management - well lets just say that they are not trustworthy at all.  They lie right to your face, act superior--treating you like rotten low-life scum, and scheme between themselves determining their next properous move.  Their turn-over rate is extremely HIGH.  If they hire 10 people--they are lucky to have one of those 10 employees still on the payroll at the end of month.  Believe me when I say, the telemarketers are there to make an honest living as the owners pick relatively small towns to locate their business, where emploment needs are greatly needed.  Many of these workers have children, are high school students, or single parents--they need the job.  Blame this on the owners and the management.  As for the DNC list, when a person on the other end of the phone asks to be put on the DNC list,  we are told to read them a small script and tell them that their number will be removed within 30 days--guess what?  A few weeks later--we are calling back the same people.  If we tell the supervisor that they told us weeks ago to be removed, management laughs it off, telling us this must be a different person/phone number.  Guess what CRT?  We are NOT as stupid as you think we are.  I, for one, have a good memory, good ears, and good eyes (see their name, address, ect., on the monitor once again).  As for Tim Kremer...if he took a minute and actually listened to some of his former employees...I mean - really listened, maybe the company wouldn't have such a bad reputation!  Also, Tim, if you happen to read this, when you visit your centers, everything ALWAYS looks perfect.  Guess what?  Your low-life (how management treats them) employees are instructed before your arrival on how to act, how to sit, what they can or can't have in their cubicles, what they can have in their books (scripts are removed on purpose so that you will not see them).  Maybe you should do some unannounced surprize visits and see how your business is really being handled.  I will NEVER work for this company again because management has lied to you and to me.  I have more dignity in my little finger then one of your supervisors, his boss (the facilitator), and you (Tim Kremer)!
