keeps calling and not leaving a voicemail. i am on the national do not call list.

this number calls me over and over.5 times a day and when i pick up they hang up

Have received at least one call a day from this number for the past two weeks--they never leave a voice mail and if I answer, they hang up immediately.

my 13 year old son began receiving multiple telemarketing calls starting this morning...got in touch with South University (412-395-8605) and got off that list...let the games begin!!

MANY CALLS ON MY CELL PHONE & NO MESSAGES

They call me at least 1 to 2 times a day while I am at work and I`m not supposed to answer my cell. They never leave a message and I have no idea who they are.

I've received 4 calls from this number since yesterday afternoon. They never leave a message. This site is what I got when I googled the number.....

i've been getting numerous calls from this number also. they never leave a message. i also got this site when i googled their number. and i too have never requested any information from any such company. and most def. would not give out my business phone as a contact!!

I got two calls from them last night at about 8pm, i missed them both.  I thought it was a little weird so I googled the number, this site is what i got.  does anyone know if theres anything being done to stop it?

This number called me at noon, right in the middle of class. If they call again I will return the call and chew em out.

UPDATE:  I called Nelnet right after this guy called, and Nelnet DID NOT, I repeat, DID NOT know about this guy.  Granted, I spoke to the night shift supervisor, but he informed me that he will pass this # to their legal department.

Didn't answer. The caller left what sounded like a broken up cell phone message on my machine...  Called him back... Heard him just fine. I asked why the hell he called me at 11pm. All he could say was "sorry sir, i must have a bad cell phone connection..."  NOT.

Willing to bet that this guy is a former Nelnet employee with a list of phone numbers of people with loans...

DO NOT TAKE THIS PERSON AT HIS WORD!!!!

They called and wanted me to consolidate my private student loans. They said that their records indicate that I had private student loans. I DONT have any student loans. So then they asked me to verify my name, address, social security number, and mother's maiden name so they could remove me from their list.

FYI people it is NOT NelNet or whoever they claim to be. It is an identity theft scheme based out of Lincoln, Nebraska. I have reported them to the FCC, FBI, and the Nebraska State Police. If anyone from this number calls you, do yourself a favor and don't answer. IF you answer and hang-up they'll keep calling. IF you don't answer ... it will stop eventually, though it may take a while.

I have received numerous phone calls from (402) 458-3014. They have been calling several times a day for a week. When I answer I am polite and tell them over and over I am not in the market for a student loan. I figured they would want to save time by removing me from their list as I have zero interest in a loan.

Also, I have gotten one phone call from this number in which a girl identified herself as being from Tiffin University. This whole thing is probably a scamm. Don't do business with these people.

It is Nelnet. Verified.

They tried to claim that my number was not on their list or in their computer, so it "must've" been a wrong number.

I swear, If I save a single soul in life, it will be the girl that answered the phone when I called this time. Ha! I told her about these 7 or 8 websites that have Nelnet listed as a bad company with underhanded tactics including telemarketing, hanging up on people, and simply being all around rude (time of day they call and never leaving a message).

I told her, I would be ashamed to work for a company that did business this way. I wished her well and hung up.

If they call again, that makes 3 and that is harassment. I then can file a complaint with the New Jersey state police.

Called 402-458-3014 back and it is Nelnet.

They wanted me to give them all of my information so that they could "remove" me from their list.

Like I was going to fall for that one.

I have reported them to the FCC and the DoNotCall list.
I have followed up by calling the FCC for more information on my options. So far, no viable solution has presented itself.

First, I receive a call from: 602-387-8733. Shortly after that, I receive a call from 402-458-3014. It appears that I am on some sort of education list for telemarketing from Phoenix College and whomever they do their financing with. Never attended, not interested.

Hi Doris, depends on whether or not you have a previous student loan with them.  If you do, they can call you.  If they don't, you should call them and request that your name be deleted from their database and contact list.  If they call again, there is a website where you can report them(can't remember website, but you can google it with "report telemarketers", etc.)

Again, even if you have a loan, you can request them to take your name off their contact/call list.

Hey, Nelnet denied me for a loan online, and then the company sent me a letter indicating that my loan was being processed.  After two calls, I managed to cancel my application and received a letter and email indicating that they cancelled my loan application.  Now, I have received about 3 calls from this number, but they never leave any message.  (At least, I believe its Nelnet according to some of the responses from this site.)  As long as I have confirmation of the cancellation, I am ignoring them.

I keep receiving calls from NelNet even though they denied me a loan.
