Yep, i got a response back from Tammy and Micheal Cousin as well. It was for a rental in Bend, OR. Never send money through a wire gram!!! It smelled fishy from the start being from out of town and not offering to show the house in person. Is there a way to report this guy??

I was looking at a house in charlotte the man emailed me back but wanted me to send the money to Tammy cousin if something sounds to good to be true it most likely isn't true. 550 for a nice 3 bedroom home. I sent the money but thankfully put next day delivery, after I told him I sent it he was very rude so I started googling him and her and saw the scam post I stopped the transaction and got my money back just in time. These people are not god fearing people at all just there to rip you off

OMG he did the same thing to me I live in Charlotte,NC and he was offereing me a nice house for a simple deposit of $600 I sent him a email saying it was too goo to be true and he started saying he has a fear of God nd he wouldn't steal my money and its as legit as possible, bullcrap me and my boyfriend went to go see the home but it was for lease and it had a different phone number than what he gave me so I called and I found out it was a scam, then just to make it clear i sent him a email asking if he can send me the pics again of the home and he sent way different pictures of a whole different house, he can't even keep up with all the people he's scamming how sad. But I am glad  I did some investigation. BEWARE OF TAMMY COUSIN!!

OMG i inquired about a home through TAMMY COUSIN and i was thrilled about this home i filled out the application and everything and then decided out of curiosity to research this person under the suspicion that the home being rented was om;y 600 a month for a 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Charlotte NC ...I am making a big move from PA and I am so glad that i let my curiosity get the best of me before I did any further inquiring. The same story everybody posting of the email is the same exact way this person replied to my inquiry ..however they must of gotten a new number because they've given me a different cell to contact them ..They went on saying something about being a Pediatrician in McDonagh GA this that and the third ..I thought to myself if your a pediatrician you would've had Realtor taking care of these matters considering you have no time on your hands to get back to me as they stated in the email and another thing im sure if they were a

I am in Tucson Az I responded to a Craigslist ad regarding a home for rent, 500/mo with 500 deposit, same scenario (I am away in Tulsa and need someone to watch my home, it is not money that we are looking for, blah blah blah) except they claimed to be a pediatrician rather then an engineer. Funny thing is it wasn't the guy mentioned in all these comments, it was a girl by the name of Tammy Cousin. So watch out for that name also, the number she used is (539)777-1168

Same scam here in Baton Rouge, La. Same exact application as above, different name, they went by Tammy Cousins. Same story of can only text and email. Complete scam, stay away

he's doing the same thing for a property in Denver, CO ... same story about job lasting a long time in Tulsa, OK...using a different number tho (539.664.6489)

Same exact scenario. This guy claims he is a Christian and to trust him.  I'm glad I googled his phone number. He just texted me told me and told me he was still interested in making me his tenant. The address he was scamming me for is 481 Demorest Rd, Columbus, Ohio. I checked the county auditor property search to find out who owned the property and asked joseph beck why his name wasn't listed as the home owner. He said the property is listed under his families name. Wish there was an easy way for the police to track down this criminal who is preying on innocent people.

I answered an ad on craigslist for rental property, Houston, Texas. It reminded me to much of the scams going
on by the people from Nigeria.  I wonder how do they get the listing for the actual house. What a rip off.
Oh well you live and learn. On the email it said igweJunior@hotmail.com, but said his name was Joseph Beck and was deaf. Therefore, he could not talk on phone.  What a scam!!!! BEWARE OF THIS GUY!!!!!!

The same thing happened to me here in Phx, AZ less than an hour ago. Was searching thru craigslist for a rental home, replied to the post and "Joseph Beck" responded to me. SO glad he included his phone number so I could save myself time, money and future trouble by searching the cell number he included in his email to me. Sounds like one of those Nigerian Scams to me! He said he was going to be doing research in Tulsa, OK for years and just wanted someone to take care of the house.
Funny thing, when I searched the house address before posting here, it was recently sold (like in the last 90 days) and all the pictures which were included in the craigslist ad, are the same exact ones which were part of the real estate listing when it was for sale. That's probably how "Joseph Beck" got the pictures.
Be careful out there, everyone............check, check and triple check. And don't wire money ANYWHERE before you meet the owner or property manager and be sure to check the house address online to see if it was recently sold OR if it is currently in foreclosure actions.

I had the same problem from a guy named  joseph beck from tulsa ok but i live in chicago that his house was available for rent in brookfield IL a suburb of chicago

This same man we saw the advert on craiglist having a house for rent at baltimore md who claim to be living in tuska OK and that is a three bedroom house with one bath and he is giving it out for $530 and he went further to send us an application form and told us to fill and give him reference if any.And later he asked us to send our family foto to him so that he will know his new tenants and who will be living in the house.He told us not to call him because he has no access for calls but can mail us.After we have sent the foto and asked him to send his own foto too he has not reply us again but if he wants to be using our foto for his act then we are going to report him to the police.

BEWARE OF CRAIGLIST SCAMMERS ARE TOO MUCH THERE.

Same thing here:  Found an add on Craigs list advertising very low rent, $1000 less than normal.  I searched his cell phone and found this.  I'm in Dallas, TX.  Thank you everyone...this helped.  He said I could only text him.  Smelled like a scam from the start

My fiance and I were looking for a home to rent out and this man tried the exact same thing to us. We decided to look up the number and the name he gave us, we ended up at this page. So yea, this man is not very nice. Be careful.

I totally got took by this loser end of the month gave notice out a grand but sent money western union so at least the might be able to id this loser. Gary Brown. I researche please help.d everything and it all matched up even the tracking number from fed ex. same guy same number same message about keys docs.... ect... different story because i am in birmingham alabama ... went by the house texted him told him it looked lived in said his engineer  had put things there so that it would look livable .. asked him about the labrador retriever in the back he said it was his funny thing about it tho was there was no lab ... a chihuahua he also is advertising another home in birmingham under a different name

THANK YOU for sharing and posting your experiences!!!  I literally just received an email today from this man in regard to a ridiculously lower rent priced home in PA, but it just sounded to good to be true.  I found the ad on craigslist and asked for more information; He requested information from me and money from me and insisted that he was in Nebraska for a job and needed a responsible person to take care of his home while he was gone.  Said he would mail me the keys and documents to the home after recieving the deposit and that I could not view the house inside, only by driving by to view the exterior because he has the keys with him and no one in the area to let me see it.  The crazy part is that the house really exists, out of curiosity I just wanted to drive by to see what the neighborhood was like because I have children and it's as shown, so how is he getting access to these homes?  Crazy!  All night I have been digging for information about the house and the phone number and the person of interest, and this is the first thing that popped up...I checked the deeds to the house and guess what?!?  He's not the owner!!  Yea...when it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!  Just a bummer considering how important it is for me to find a home for myself and my children.  Oh well, I'd rather it be a legit and reliable source/landlord right?  Thanks guys!!!

Was this about a house near lake bottom in ga? just curious if he's using same property. The property is an actual house but not owned by him

hah I was demanding  yesterday for proof and he would always say after deposit was made.  he still denied and tried to say half deposit would help. He swore he's a god fearing person and a good Christian and accusations were false. Trust has to work both ways etc. Sad sad..

Wow he tried to do the same with me for a house for 650. He just texted me this morning checking up with me bc we were in the talks of exchanging next week and I knew it sounded too good to be true. I would not  of gone through with it without proof of deed and more research anyway but Im glad i  saw this and saved the hassle. His story was he relocated to rainbow al as a pediatrician and just wanted someone to take care of house and that money is no issue. Big dissapointment was a very nice house.

I contacted this guy about a home he had for rent and he emailed me back with a application for me to fill out when he never seen any proof of income or etc. He gave this crappy story about a family issue and asked if I could send $500 via email through Money Gram then he would seed the keys via mail! That was my finally and last red flag.
